COL Linda Sheimo was born in Bitburg, Germany and lived in four other locations before completing high school and college in Fresno, California where her father retired from the United States Air Force. She worked for ten years in civil service, simultaneously serving in the United States Army Reserves for eight years before entering active duty in the Army in 1985. She is currently serving as the Chief, Command Policies, Army G-1. COL Sheimo has served in various staff positions in 2d Armored Division and III Corps, Fort Hood, Texas;, Heilbronn, Ludwigsburg, Boeblingen, Frankfurt and Giessen, Germany; United States Military Entrance Command, North Chicago, Illinois: Human Resources Command, Alexandria, Virginia: Seoul and Camp Casey, Korea; 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York; Army G-1; and Adjutant General, Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Virginia. COL Sheimo served as the Combined Joint-1, Combined Joint Task-Force-180 and Combined Forces Command-Afghanistan, Bagram, Afghanistan and Secretary of the Joint Staff, United States Forces-Iraq, Baghdad, Iraq.
