On February 21, 2014

You are cordially invited‌

‌to make a difference HERE!

81% are Hispanic/18% are African American 50% of the students have parents who never graduated from high school. 32% of the students have parents who graduated only from high school. Only 5% of the students have parents who graduated from college.

The concentration of students who could benefit from your time and presence is much higher than many other high schools. Percentages do not total 100% because some attended some college.

You can give them access. In a world in which minorities are under-represented at the executive level of many corporations and on-screen, minority students coming from lower income communities struggle to be able to see a path to a successful future. By taking some time to come to our high school and speak to students, you can provide to our students a face of success. By sharing your stories, your insights, and your recommendations, you give them something even more – hope – a sense that there is more and they can get it.

The road less travelled. This must change.

4 hours *

Student exposure: Distribution in-classrooms that are enabled with wi-fi laptop and projector screen. Participant’s company will be recognized on promotional material and announced at the event. Subsequent use of event video will also contain references to participants and their company. One example of potential additional exposure is Social Media Week. This event could be a segment of the program in which students take clips and discuss the event.
