ARTSTRAVAGANZA

Come join the fun at the 13th annual ARTstravaganza art festival where fine art and fine craft by The Best of Missouri Hands artist members will fill the historic St. Louis Artists’ Guild in Oak Knoll Park. ARTstravaganza is a juried showcase of both general and juried members of The Best of Missouri Hands (BOMH). Twenty five BOMH Artists from all over the state will present an array of work in clay, jewelry, photography, wood, glass, metal, naturals, wearables, and more. Artists will be demonstrating their art and are always happy to talk about their work and answer your questions. Acoustic bluegrass rock music will be provided by Pik’n Lik’n for the weekend. ARTstravaganza is free to the public.

The Saint Louis Brewers Guild is hosting its first Harvest Festival, November 1, from 1-5 pm in Lafayette Park. The festival features 23 local breweries, pouring beers made with freshly harvested hops, pumpkins as well as all things fall and festive. The Guild is teaming up with Yoga Buzz, and will offer a one-hour Yoga session, at 11:45 am, inside the grounds. Admission gains access to the beers, commemorative tasting glass, silent auction, costume contests as well as music from local bands. Food trucks will be on hand as well. 31ST ANNUAL VETERANS DAY OBSERVANCE AND PARADE

Saturday, November 8, 2014 At Soldier’s Memorial Plaza In Downtown St. Louis. Heroes Remembered: Celebrating 250 years as a city and honoring all who served. The celebration will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the USAF Band of MidAmerica playing patriotic music followed by the Veterans Day Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. There will also be military displays and a Veterans postage stamp dedication. A “Massing of the Colors” formation will lead the parade which begins at noon from Tucker and Chestnut, west on Chestnut to 14th Street, south on 14th Street to Market, west on Market to St. Louis Union Station at 20th Street.
