The plaza and outpost is designed with a grid in order to desginate portions of the site according to the information and data that is displayed. For instance, datum lines are extrapolated from adjacent and buildings in the immediate area that correlate or provide relevannce to the information being conveyed to pedestrians who visit the outpost. In addition, the outpost is designed as a transitional and impermanent sculptural piece to provide critical information to the surrounding community for the two year time span it will be there.

The next step was an investigative design process to determine three systems or schemes in order to figure out which of the three ideas would be most appropriate or adaquate for the site.

In project 3 we chose one of the three previously designed schemes and improved upon the established work. I decided to combine scheme A and C because I felt that providing a hybrid of the two schemes would be a more adaquate overall scheme for the downtown site. A thorough analysis of site would allow the architecture to draw context and impact the architecture.
