THANKSGIVING DAY NOV. 28, 2019 DANA POINT HARBOR With a race route located in the beautiful Dana Point Harbor, it’s no wonder that thousands flock to Dana Point for this Thanksgiving tradition, brought to you by the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce. The Dana Point Turkey Trot will celebrate its 42nd year, offering several races for all age ranges and skill levels.

This flat, scenic race winds through Dana Point Harbor in proximity to Doheny State Beach and California’s famed Pacific Coast Highway. The event features a 10k, 5k and a Kids’ Gobble Wobble. The two 5K races (formerly the 5K Masters and 5K Open) have been adjusted to be open to all ages and skill levels, with the first 5K race beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the second one beginning at 9:30 a.m. Be sure to check out this year’s Health & Wellness Expo, which features local and national vendors offering products and services centered on enhancing your well-being and overall life. Expo hours on Wednesday, Nov. 27 are noon to 6 p.m. with packet pick-up times extending to 7 p.m. On Thanksgiving Day, the expo will go from 6-11 a.m. The costume contest will be held at 9:10 a.m. Look out for the Turkey Trot mascot Drumstick, who is always up for a selfie or group photo.
