Family & Friends, First we want to thank God, because without Him the love we share would not be possible. Gratitude, like love, lives and grows in our hearts. You have brought joy to our day, warmth to our love and happiness to our hearts. This day we will always treasure and cherish the love we have found in one another. We pray that God will direct us as we build our future together in a Christcentered relationship. To Our Parents, We especially like to thank you for giving us life, love, opportunity, and for always supporting us wherever our dreams have taken us. Today is a celebration of love, not only ours, but yours. When the four of you decided to marry, it was the beginning of wonderful partnerships. We’ve seen you share moments of incredible happiness, and we’ve seen you lean on each other in difficult times. Your lasting bond is a foundation for us to build on, a source of strength for us to learn from, and a model for us to use as we build our family. Special Thanks to Joi Adamson Last but not least, a very special thanks to Joi Adamson. You have been an amazing visionary and passionate wedding planner, but greatest of all an EXCELLENT friend. You have help make our visions come true and we could never thank you enough. You knew Justin was the one before I did! It is so befitting that you donated your creativity and hard work to help celebrate our marriage! We love you so much and as your craft grows, the one thing that’ll never need to change is the beautiful woman you are, inside and out. Love, Tanita and Justin Robinson

Unexpected Christmas Gift
May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. (Thessalonians 3:12)
On Christmas of 2010 everyone gathered at Shayna’s house for their traditional family Christmas dinner. Tanita, Shayna’s sister, was running fashionably late and the guests were getting hungry. When she made her grand entrance she announced, “The Queen is here!” Little did Tanita know that her King was there too! Justin C. Robinson was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the second of three children to Eugene and Melinda Robinson. He was invited to Shayna’s house on Christmas day for dinner. As he sat there starving and watching the game in walked this “queen.” He turned around to introduce himself and once he saw her he was awestruck. Tanita, who was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the eldest of two girls to Wain Sr. and
Kimberley Elder introduced herself and took notice that Justin was very shy. She tried to ease his nerves by keeping the conversation and jokes going. It wasn’t long before Justin felt totally relaxed. They joked and had great conversation and eventually exchanged phone numbers. Justin and Tanita talked on the phone the whole week and went on their first date on New Year’s Eve. Everything felt so natural and it was exciting bringing in 2011 with a new companionship. They were getting to know one another. Tanita learned that Justin has two siblings Jarrett and Jale’na Robinson. After graduating from high school, he visited his brother Jarrett in Washington D.C. and never left! While attending college, He discov-
ered his passion for eye care and he now has 10 years of experience as an Optician. He absolutely loves what he does! Justin learned that at age 14 Tanita and her family relocated to Bedford Heights, Ohio. She graduated from Bedford High School and immediately obtained her Cosmetology license. At 23, she left the world of hair and accepted a job offer in Virginia to become a flight attendant. It was an exciting job. She was able to meet a lot of interesting people and see a lot of beautiful cities but, unfortunately when Independence Air closed she had to move on. She is currently the Patient Care Coordinator for a prominent medical practice in Northern Virginia. This position, along with the in-flight emergencies she experienced as a flight
“Our journey to find true love ends. Our journey to cherish true love begins.” attendant, inspired her to pursue a degree and career in Nursing and Healthcare Management. They both live in Herndon Virginia and continued to date and grow closer to one another. Two months into dating Justin told Tanita he was going to make her his wife and as time passed he was the first to say those three wonderful words, “I love you!” Ten months had gone by when Tanita realized just how much she really loved Justin. She had gotten to know him very well and realized he missed his mother immensely. So as a huge gesture of love she threw Justin a surprise birthday party and the biggest surprise was she flew his mother in. The look on his face was priceless. It was then that she knew all she ever wanted to do was make him happy and he was happy indeed. It was this gesture of flying his mother in and all the work in throwing this party that reinforced in his heart how much he loved Tanita Smith. She took it upon
herself to make this connection with his mom and threw the best party ever. What’s not to love about her? Tanita inspires Justin to push himself harder every day. She brings out the best in him and her love makes him want to be a better man. He loves her silliness, smile, kindness, and her beautifully shaped almond eyes. Although she is heavy handed and always slams the car door he couldn’t imagine life without her. Knowing how he felt about Tanita it was October 26, 2012 that he proposed to her. It was his plan to make her think that they were going on their weekly Friday date night. As he waited for her to get off he thought to himself, “Tanita is going to run errands after work.” With that in mind he rushed to her job to pick her up from work and barely made it there in time. When he arrived she was already walking to her car. During the car ride to the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens he was so nervous, but he had to play it off. While walking around
the stunning 95 acres complex of ornamental gardens with unique native plants, walking trails, lakes, gazebos and more they stopped to take pictures at a wishing pond. When Tanita’s back was turned Justin decided to spring into action and get on one knee. When Tanita turned around to ask a question she saw him kneeling with a custom ring box. A big surprised look hung on her face; she said “Really Justin!” Then she took off running to dry her eyes. When she returned she said “Ok I’m ready.” Justin promised to

do everything in his power to be an excellent husband and to always strive to show her the unconditional love that dwells within him. With a promise like that, her answer was, “Yes!” Justin inspires Tanita to always think positive and now she tries to see this positivity in everyone and everything. She loves Justin’s sincerity and passion. He has shown from day one he is all about their love growing and every time she looks into his big beautiful eyes she knows he means everything he says. She can trust him. He may annoy her by cracking sunflower seeds in his mouth and leaving cabinets open, but at the end of the day Justin is the man for her. After a year and a half of dating they were engaged! They set a date for August 24, 2013. Now today is their wedding day and Tanita has had fun planning this special day. At times it was a bit overwhelming, but she looked forward to their vision becoming reality. Justin and Tanita make a great team and exercised their teamwork skills in making this day one they will always remember. They each took a role. She did the planning and Justin supplied the money. We can only wonder how
many planning conversations went like this. Justin, “You’re killing me smalls!” Tanita replies, “Really!” In all seriousness today is a day where they look back at how they got here and the love that has brought them to this stage. They remember moments like the time Justin first met Tanita’s parents. No matter how many times she reassured him that they were down to earth he was so nervous. He wanted to make a GREAT first impression. Moments like when Tanita went to Baton Rouge and met Justin’s dad. It was like meeting the Godfather she joked. He was nice and very welcoming. Just as sweet as Justin’s Mom whom she met at the party she threw for Justin. The couple is ready to start the next chapter of their lives together as one, starting with their honeymoon in Aruba. Tanita can’t wait to lie
out on the beach and overlook the clear blue waters with her husband. They plan to return from their private paradise to start their married life in Northern Virginia. They look forward to starting a family and growing old together. They know the qualities that will keep their love strong are patience, communication, understanding, trust, forgiveness, a short memory, and perseverance. Justin is happy to have found a best friend and life partner in Tanita. Their love was right on time because they weren’t looking for love, it was not forced, they just let it flow. The Lord truly works in mysterious ways. They went to Christmas Dinner and received the BEST unexpected Christmas gift ever, a lifelong companion, lover, and friend. Who could ask for more? For Christmas we should all ask for a little Cajun Love!

Words from the Wise From their Parents
Words of Encouragement, In short there are many reasons to get married. The one most popular is “we’re in love” and then comes the long of it. You will always need to have respect, patience, humility, commitment, communication, a sense of humor, loyalty, excitement and understanding. And then in the end, have an understanding of all these “code” words. So with these key ingredients that must be in play 24/7, place them in the pot of mercy, stirred with our Savior’s spoon of grace and covered with the lid of his blessings. Love, Wain Sr. and Kimberley Y. Elder Parents of the Bride.
God, (Marriage-Team), TOGETHER ; The male/female union in marriage is the smallest team unit in human culture. Putting God first, together, will start a foundation for that team with faith, hope and love as building blocks. With that foundation and building blocks you can, to para phrase St. Francis of Assisi, practice the gospel of the Lord and when necessary, use words. Translation-Action speaks louder than words. May God bless your team. Melinda and Eugene Robinson Parents of the Groom
