Tri-Couny Midget Football Serving Our Youth Since 1955 The Tri-County Midget Football League, was established in 1955 and Incorporated as the TCMFL in 1959, to provide our youth with supervised, competitive athletic games. The main objective of the league, is to promote sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and fair play among all players and coaches. In the Spring of 2002 we changed our Divisions from weighted (75, 95, 115, Jr. High Unlimited) to unweighted (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior). We now go strictly by age and then Grade. Since the change to Unlimited weight, our League has really grown in size. We continually strive to make the TCMFL the strongest and largest League in the state.

Our Moto: TEAMWORK-The ability to work together toward a common vision, the ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives, the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. ATTITUDE- A Positive Attitude causes a chain reaction of Positive Outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results. ABOVE & BEYOND- When a team of dedicated Individuals makes a commitment to act as one, the Sky’s the Limit. CHARACTER-True Character is revealed by the clarity of one’s convictions. Hold strongly to principles and refuse to follow the currents of convenience. ADVERSITY- Does not Build Character, It reveals it.

In the Spring of 2006 we split into 2 Conferences, AFC & NFC, with 3 Divisions in each Conference. In doing this, we added more teams to the Playoffs. In the Spring of 2007 we added a few new Organizations which brings us to 22 Organizations. We are steadily looking for more Organizations to join the TCMFL. Also in the Spring of 2007 we added a Junior Varsity Division which is strictly for JV Players. No Varsity players are allowed to play in this division.

Super Bowl On Saturday December 3, 2011 The 10 and 1 Vineland Wolfpack went up against the 11 and 0 Penns Grove Twins for what was predicted to be an action packed face off for the Sophomore Division Super Bowl. Both teams had an awesome season. The Wolfpack advanced to the championship game with a 26-0 victory over Woodbury in the semifinal round. It was their sixth shutout of the season. The Wolfpack was unstoppable suffering only one loss on October 30th to Whitman Park Camden Tigers; however they would meet again and show the Tigers just how well the Wolfpack could regroup. They avenged their only regular-season loss with a 12-6 quarterfinal win.

S

o the two teams came together at Ellis Field, located at 349 Virginia Avenue in Penns Grove to have an epic battle of champions. The morning of the game excitement was in the air! Many of the players said this game was the highlight of the season. The coaches felt ready and excited that they had made it this far. So after the team gathered at the field it was time to take the long caravan trip to Penns Grove. The twins were waiting.

O

nce the team arrived they were ready to warm up. They gathered around in a circle and listened intently to a motivating speech by their coaches. Then it was “Game Time The first quarter was all defense. Neither team scored. Going into the second quarter it was still tied at 0. Then it happened Penns Grove finally put some points on the board. With a little over 3 minutes left in the quarter Penns Grove 7 and Vineland 0. It would stay this way going into the half.

V

ineland came back ready to fight and although defensively the held Penns Grove at 7 they just couldn’t get the offensive edge they needed. They played their hearts out but ultimately Penns Grove would take the win 21 to 7. Although the Wolfpack lost and tears filled the player’s eyes, they still won. They won because through the entire season the played like the Pack they were and finishing the season 10 and 2 is no easy feat. So with uplifted heads they congratulated Penns Grove and headed home for some much needed rest. Next season they will strive to do it all again! Some will move up to the junior level and others will return to the Wolfpack.

They Play ed Hard !

At the Half Vineland came back ready to Fight

Meet The Coaches Head Coach Ivan Jones

Assistant Coaches Stephen Bowman Jr. Mike Cephas Rob Jackson

Charles Winslow

I

van and his coaching staff have a passion for coaching youth sports and have over 3 decades of combined youth coaching experience. Their goal is to build character and confidence in each player. They believe football is the ultimate team sport and truly want each player to enjoy playing the game of football while learning the proper technique and execution of the game. Ivan has proven to be a great leader and motivator of young men.

What they love most about the team this year is the kids and their heart. What they will remember most is that this year’s team really liked to play around. They were often shocked at how playful they were before each game, yet they would focus enough to get the job done when it was game time. Their record speaks for itself, and although they didn’t win the Superbowl they played like champs the entire season. They overcame their lost to Whitman Park after being undefeated and going 7 and 0 all season. They regrouped and came back to finish the regular season 10 and 1. They also got a chance to get even with Whitman Park by defeating them 12 to 6 on their home field.

The kids were successful because the coaching staff took the time to develop these youngsters into a real “wolfpack.” The coaches focus not only on the fundamentals to prepare the boys for the next level of football, but the self-discipline, work ethic, and attitude that are foundational to becoming great young men.
