To Lourdes:
Happy Mother’s Day! We love You!

Dedicated to Mom From Belinda
She can fully appreicate her mother

other and daughter relationships are complex because the daughter looks to her mother as a role model of what a woman is. As she grows up and sees other women who live their lives differently, she chooses between imitating her mother or other significant influences in her life. As an adolescent she may come to look down on her mother and think that other woman are much better. Of course she is not a fully grown woman so she does not understand the challenges and choices that her mother faces. It is only when she herself becomes a woman that she can fully appreciate her mother.
Giving From the Heart From Dre “A mother-in-law seems to specialize in doing thoughtful deeds, Before you ask she understands your problems and your needs. Quietly she does her best to help, inspire and cheer, And everything looks brighter right away because she’s near. She always has a lot to do but still finds time to spare, To listen and to give advice because she really cares. She helps because she wants to, she finds joy in being kind, And making others happy is the first thing on her mind. She makes this world a better place by practicing the art, Of reaching out to others and by giving from the heart.”
To my mother in-law Love Cesar

e know it’s not easy raising five kids by yourself but you did. You keep saying that you’re lucky because of the way we turned out but in actuality the only reason we turned out the way we did is because of you. We seen how much you struggle and how much you hurt but you stayed strong for us. So that’s why we came out strong because that’s how you raised us to be. But then again we did make it easy for you because we’re AMAZING! Lol Love you and Happy Mother’s Day!!
So that’s why we came out strong
I Proud to say you are my mother.
To Mami From Nina
just want to say thank you for everything. As much as we fight, argue, and disagree with each other, I am proud to say you are my mother. I am strong because I have the support of a strong and beautiful family. No one is perfect, but God knew what he was doing when He made us a family. Love you lots!!!!

hen I think of you I think of what strength really is, this may sound funny but bare with me…You took time out of your life to give life, it was your life you put on hold to take care of lives, five lives in the care of one life and still managed to be alive. Like I said strength is what comes to mind when I think of you, working impossible shifts of labor to take care of those who put you in labor. 24 hours a day 7 days a week has become your work schedule. From work to home just to work some more, you are truly a gift from God and I can only wish you were my mother, all I can do is call you mom and hope you turn around lol. I love you and wish you a happy mother’s life, a day is way too short to cherish what you’ve done
Mom’s Poem By: Elizabeth Chaparro
A mother’s touch A mother’s love A mother’s face A mother’s grace Because it’s more than just her faith But this is for the mother that stays Through thick and thin she prays Waiting for the days That the children she raised Will grow and thank her for the time that she’s paid. Here’s to the mother that raised me and my siblings We all may fuss and fight But in the end we’re there for each other each and every night! Here’s to you MOM!
To the women I came out of YOUR SON Junior (lil shit)
I
am the greatest thing that came out of you lol I am the boy that you never expected. We been through a lot together and I love you for each thing because it helped me learn and grow stronger. You have been a great mother and father figure and I love you for that. I know if I need anything I can go to you and you will be happy to get it for me or try to get it for me. I may not say thank you or I love you all the time but I do mean it from the bottom of my heart. Abraham Lincoln once said “All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother. This quote is exactly how I feel about you. I LOVE YOU MOM
You have been a great mother

Great Mothers Raising Five Kids
GOD DOESNT LIKE UGLY! —author unknown
L
ourdes Perez, She raised five healthy, well-adjusted and cultured children. This was no easy feat. There were hard times, good times, and really bad times, but through it all, she remained strong and led her family through it. Lourdes Perez, born July 22, 1968, in Camden, NJ, was raised by her loving mother and father. She has five sisters and four brothers. She lost her father and her brother, but she did not lose her love for family so, it was no surprise that Lourdes would have a big family herself. She gave birth to four lovely girls, and one bouncing baby boy. She raised her kids in Atlantic City and Pleasantville areas, and at times they struggled, but each of them turned out to be strong and successful individuals. Her oldest daughter Belinda married the love of her life, an entrepreneur and budding tattoo artist, Andre Sewell. She also finished school, and became a chief at the brand new Revel Casino, in Atlantic City. Belinda is also the mother of three energetic and intelligent handsome boys. Belinda expresses that, “Our lives will be full of never ending love within each other and all of those who are always there
for us. We will achieve greatness that’s our destiny.” That never ending love started with the love between her and her mother. There are times they don’t see eye to eye, but like most mother daughter relationships they get over it. Her next daughter Nina graduated from Nyack College with a degree in Social work. She currently resides in New York with her boyfriend John. John and his lovely daughter is already apart of the family. Nina says, “I have every day struggles, but I still manage to smile at least once a day! I have come a long way from where I was. I am taking it one day at a time, and learning to embrace everything that comes along. It’s either a lesson or a blessing!” It is no doubt that her mother has taught her how to get over life’s struggles. Angelina aka Gina, is Lourdes’ middle child. She studied criminal justice at Kean University and recently married the man of her dream Cesar Mejia. She presently works at Harrah’s in room service and she is looking forward to moving and becoming an Army wife. Standing by her man who protects and serves our country is an honor and is just the stuff that Gina is made of. Her loving spirit and sweet smile will keep Cesar full of smiles for years to come. Angelina is a great reflection of her mother.
Elizabeth affectionately called “LaLa” is the baby girl. She is full of spirit and laughter. She just recently graduated high school and now attends Ramapo College of New Jersey where she studies law and society. Elizabeth states, “All I can be is me....Can’t and Won’t change who I am for anybody!!! “ This philosophy was instilled in her from her mother who taught all her kids to be proud of who they are. Last but not least is Lourdes youngest child and only boy, Edwin Chaparro aka Junior. Junior is currently in High School. He is a fun loving son and is very close to his mother. Jr, takes care of everyone and is always there for his mother and sisters. Although he is the youngest, he is the man of the house. All five of Lourdes’ children are doing well and in a society where many parents struggle to keep just one kid on the straight and narrow she has managed to keep all five in line. It is a testament to how great a mom she is, and while no mother is perfect she can hold her head up high and be proud because her biggest accomplishment is her children. She has raised five kids who are close, who are loving and supportive to one another, who have strived to have better lives.

Grandmothers and roses are much the same. Each are God’s masterpieces with different names By Unknown
The way it smells when she cooks. When you’re bad, the way she looks. How she would do anything to help a friend. The way she’ll stick by you until the end. She’s one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
Unless you get on her bad side, then you’re in for a treat. The way she’ll cheer you up when you’re down. And how she helps you to turn your frown. The way she jokes and laughs with me, Her soul so kind, so sweet, so free. She inspires me in different ways everyday. My grandma is wonderful in every way.

A family is made of love and tears, laughter and years. It grows stronger with the passing of time. More precious with the making of memories.
