Agency reveals strategic plan Earlier this year, each C&A staff member had the opportunity to participate in a strategic planning session facilitated by C&A Board Member Mike Gallina. Below, is the action plan from the strategic planning sessions and has been board approved. Clinical Excellence Develop and strengthen a premier clinical training program to enhance competencies in specialized treatment areas. Develop formal, on-going training programs to include CBT, TF-CBT, DBT and SUD collaborative documentation. Provide training to QMHS staff about ways to provide quality services consistent with and supportive of the evidence-based services we are providing (i.e. DBT, Trauma, SUD, etc.). Evaluate clinical and supervisor responsibilities in order to provide capacity and efficiency. Engage a Six Sigma project regarding how supervisor time is spent and determine if there are ways to delegate different tasks and ensure everyone feels confident in providing staff the supervision required. This project could include the establishment of a formula for balancing supervisor responsibilities – for example: determine the level of supervisees (independent vs. non-independent, QMHS, interns, peers), case lists, assessments, etc. Establish a process that would reduce a client's length of stay by using an equation that would include targeted treatment, clear client goals, and a planned termination date, based on level of care. Mission Prioritization Re-evaluate service mix, availability and priorities. Assess programs and services to determine if needs still exist and if those programs are sustainable. Attack this assessment in the following manner: What are we covering? What do we cover well? What are we not covering? What are we covering, but not well? What can we let go of and what should we keep? What should we consider to be our premier resource? Can we work with other organizations so that we all meet the needs?

Agency reveals strategic plan con't Internal Customer Service Continue with organizational training for consistency in supervisory roles, strengthening transparency and two way communication. Hold quarterly conversations with specialized groups within the agency. Examine the supervisory role (ie: update checklists, provide tools that will provide efficiency and constituency) and provide trainings for any new supervisor that defines the responsibilities of the position and basic management. In addition, each supervisor should understand and be cross-trained in supervisee position. Develop a culture of kindness and grace that nurtures positive connections. Develop a Code of Kindness that will establish a collective agency-centered perspective on colleague relationships and interactions. External Customer Service Explore the intake process for efficiencies and opportunities. Establish a Six Sigma project to redefine the intake process to develop an efficient, effective, and consistent process. Establish a marketing campaign to educate stakeholders on the continuum of care and access to appropriate care. Educating and marketing C&A services (QMHS, Prevention, Peer) to stakeholders. Highlight how we are improving lives. Workforce Development Evaluate orientation and the on-boarding process. Develop a formal evaluation of the orientation program. Action plan specific to the evaluation results. Develop an orientation “refresher.” Establish a training program to enhance staff development. Have each staff member develop career training goals for the upcoming year; integrate this with the training
