Jenna sees her doctor a few times a year for an ongoing medical condition. She is prefers to have a mid-priced premium and is comfortable with having a moderate deductible.

Gold

Steve is shopping for his family. He doesn’t want a deductible since his wife is expecting their second child. He prefers to pay a higher premium in exchange for lower out of pocket costs for services.

Platinum

Ramid has to be seen by his doctor and a specialist on a regular basis. He expects to use his insurance often, so he wants the lowest out of pocket costs. His monthly premium is high but he is happy about not having a deductible and lower co-pays.

CLEAR SPACE

The logo clear space ensures that the VHP logo has the proper clearance on all sides to avoid any competing elements. The space shown is the minimum amount required. More space can be given around the logo if desired.

The clear space is determined by the height of the letter “V” in Valley. Space above and below the logo is determined by the height of the letter “V.” Space to the left and right of the logo is determined by the width of the letter “V” turned on its side.

JUST ACRONYM USAGE

The VHP logo without ‘Valley Health Plan’ should ONLY be used when logo usage is small and the name becomes too tiny to read. This version should be avoided where possible.

Postpartum Mood & Anxiety Disorders

Most women get the “baby blues,” or feel sad or empty, within a few days of giving birth. But, if the “blues” last more than 2 weeks, contact your doctor.

Mothers are not to blame or at fault for having depression and anxiety: it is not anything a mother has or has not done.

Depression and anxiety while pregnant or after birth is a real medical illness that gets better with help.

You might feel unconnected to your baby, as if you are not the baby’s mother, or feel like you don’t love or care for the baby.

Some women do not tell anyone about their feelings. Mothers may feel embarrassed, ashamed, or guilty about feeling depressed when they are supposed to be happy. They may also worry that they will be bad mothers. If you are feeling any of these things, you are not alone!

With the right support and treatment, you can feel better!
