HE REAL TRAGEDY of our time lies not so much in the unprecedented external events themselves as in the unprecedented ethical destitution and spiritual infirmity which they glaringly reveal. ~Paul Brunton Our dominant worldview still prefers to believe in the fantasy that we are a living species within a non-living universe, and that we can go about as ‘business as usual’ with a worldly indifference. This is the myth that the solid, material world is ‘out there’ and we are just separate bodies wondering around within it. And so, we put everything at a distance from us, believing that there is us and then there is the external world. This belief system has been responsible for humanity feeling it has the right, or even duty, to conquer and control the world around us. Yet in doing so we have orphaned ourselves not only from our own and ineptitude; economic manipulations; surroundings – from our life environments national aggression and politically– but also from our own sense of self. We motivated warfare; refugee crises; human have alienated ourselves and become a torture and suffering; capitalist greed; discontented species. We have created and corporate corruption; aggravated social cultivated for ourselves a view of the world unrest; religious and moral intolerance; that is dry and barren – like rusting metal increased displays of psychopathic in a wasteland. E LIVE IN A supportive Universe but do not live in a supportive system, and it’s the principal of this conundrum that influences our lives by way of our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual perspective. The system we live in is a slow burn into a personal and private prison of negative emotion perpetuated by antiquated ideals in regards to energy, government and finance. Our society isn’t functioning from a place of teaching us how to live healthy lives and thrive in Wellness, rather we are taught how to slowly die instead. From the smallest proton to the vastness of the Universe there is a constant and consistent force, and that force is energy. Energy never dies, it just changes form – and this is also the definition of Spirit or “God”. We don’t have to be “religious” to use something as simple as science to “prove” that energy has an effect on each and every one of us. We can use our understanding of energy to determine how our society shapes and forms our emotional and spiritual health to get a basic foundation of how energy profoundly influences our daily lives.
Love and Fear – Energy’s Vibration
“If you wish to understand the Universe, think of energy, frequency and vibration” ~ Nikola Tesla All energy has its own frequency, which is the rate in which the energy

Xenophobia, left, and Ubuntu, right. Ubuntu roughly translates as ‘humanity toward others.’ vibrates. It’s a proven fact that ‘negative’ energy vibrates at a much lower frequency than ‘positive’ energy. As seen in the water molecule experiment, Love has the highest vibration of all and creates sacred geometry when Love energy is directed at the water molecule. Human beings are also made of energy and our energy is our very Life-source, because our bodies couldn’t function without energy. By volume, the human body produces 60,000 times as much luminosity per cubic centimeter as the Sun, which makes human beings quite radiant indeed! The simplistic thing about emotional energy is that there are only 2 emotions from which all other emotions stem – they are either Love or fear. Obviously fear is

negative and Love is Positive, and we can visually see the difference. This means that if there is negative energy directed at a person, society, religion or social class then we are all affected in some way through labels and judgment or the “ego”, which is a service-to-self mentality. And the opposite can be said for positive energy.
Mental Slavery of the 99%
At this point we should all be familiar with the “elite” or “the 1%”, who hold the majority of the world’s wealth and prosperity. According to an article in Forbes Magazine, almost half of the world’s wealth is owned by just one percent of the population. The fact that there is a global elite in the
first place suggests an imbalance. If we live in a “Freewill” Universe then how is it that we can be so trapped and confined within a system where we allow a select few to speak for the masses? This also implies imbalance because most of us don’t remember having a choice in whether or not to participate in the system from Birth. The elitist system is based on conditions, rules, structure, labels and limitation that encourages and expects society to create a self-manufactured image of perfection in order to feed the 1%. If we can find a way to empty our cup of all we think we know, we can re-assess the situation from a higher perspective. The system runs on the fear, stress, trauma and negative energy of its participants. It’s imperative to begin to free the mind from the propaganda that is programmed to keep society on a short leash, by giving our power away to the governments, media, doctors, banks, corporations and pharmaceutical companies. Like the “Wizard of Oz” there is a proverbial “man behind the curtain” who is pulling the puppet strings of the few to manipulate the many. “Mental slavery is the worst form of slavery. It give you the illusion of freedom, makes you trust, love and defend your oppressor, while making an enemy of those who are trying to free you or open your eyes” ~ Eli I recently watched the Hollywood movie “12 Years a Slave” which is based on the book written by Solomon Northrup. OBSERVATIONS AND OPINIONS Now we define the term, the tool from which we will fashion a key. With the definition of the word, Apophasis in mind, in action, our imaginations may be inspired by the image of a torch held high revealing a mystery of choices. This allows our awareness to leap into a particular juxtaposition where we can see from this vantage point to a perfect metaphor of perception, to see just how powerful our situation actually is. This occurs regardless of any encroaching obscurity, indeed and in fact, and in a sense even thanks to it. One jumps to the familiar theme long heralded by the New Agora’s Editor, of both freedom itself and the action of freeing oneself. A freeing from which there must exist that which is opposed to such a state of being, and from which one must become free. Now I’m not just trying to be clever with negatives, although that does come with apophatic inquiry, rather, as I see it, the strength here is in the conceptual springboard the word and idea animating it offers, in the exercise of perspective that can free perception to see what is truly there and not only what we have been told is so. A showing rather than a telling makes for a better story. One is experience-based, the other a second-hand affair at best. To help visualize the concept, one draws an image out from an outline, while envisioning the absence of a thing in order to arrive at its image or form. Imagine drawing a hand not by actually drawing it but by drawing everything else around that hand. Describing something by explaining what it is not. Affirmation through negation; A kind of shadow play, a game of hide-and-seek. Apophasis. Negative space as a design tool. A fast before a feast. An allowing of emptiness to fill one with its silence. A presence felt through absence. An impression left behind. An imprint or stamp of that which is no longer there. What I am trying to do is stimulate your imagination with these concepts, as I’ve found that when one looks upon the Theatre of the World it truly helps to have a tool or two of consciousness at hand. At the very least, begin by including that which has been occluded by all this darkness, ignorance and general skullduggery, and go beyond that to imagine what dreams may yet exist beyond the hysterics and squabbling of our species. Apophasis is a formula, a sort of shortcut, or shorthand; a decoding device to apply to one’s perspective in one’s experience of navigating through a presently polluted stream of awareness. It’s not just denial but more of encompassing, to arrive at totality. You see what is and determine from that picture what actually might be from the original‘s subtraction. In other words: See evil - Be good. My contention is that, once contextualized within one’s field of awareness, that very darkness fulfills its apophatic role. It may then represent what it is not to help delineate and thereby manifest what is. Then it ceases to exist in the same manner, ceases to be relevant or necessary in outlining and generating polarity and becomes instead a moving part of the flowing whole as the energy-based balance of all the elements drives it, as the Tao Turns. In picturing Yin & Yang, the formula takes form. The meaning of its substance, as well as its function, becomes apparent as an essential ingredient that serves as an instigator or antagonist in the great system of transformation that is Life. It may seem complicated but actually it’s natural as natural can be. Complications begin with the imposition or introduction of the artificial or unnatural. These misdirect us with the beliefs that a square box of grey reality contains our destiny; that magic isn’t real but taxes are, that life isn’t a miracle and each breath not a gift, and that Love is not our actual and original state of Being. It takes just as much energy either way, believing oneself a slave or being actively awake in freedom. Imagination is the tool and play is the action. Word craft, the spelling of images and ideas, whether from a writer’s pen or an artist’s brush or a lens, photographic or otherwise, all are secondary to the straightforward application of attention. We all do it as children with our liquid sense of perception, our reality as yet un-jarred and unlabeled by the teachers of the day. We see intimations of the technique with various

‘trompe l’oeil’ that fool the eye, enticing the mind’s eye into imagining other worlds. What better example than our own children sitting happily on the earth playing with their hearts, minds and eyes open to the wonder that is Creation? What if I were to suggest to you that within the suspension of belief, that moment, that pause, there between it and your disbelief, energized by the power of paradox, form becomes subject to substance, and a kind of levitation away from the laws of the known occurs, one that allows for the application of imagination itself upon the formulation of reality. Yowza. Howzat? Hunh? Here’s a simple test: go somewhere and turn off your internal dialogue, i.e. stop thinking, for as long as you can muster then master. Then, while gazing with a kind of noncommittal looking, not staring but more so glancing, at anything and everything that presents itself before our eyes, allow for the chattering mind to simply quiet of its own accord. Let the gentle weight of each passing moment fill you with the act of perceiving past words, beyond language or syntax, past identification or categorization, and far beyond the structured realm of the ‘known’ into the formless unknown. Herein waits a new world that is created through you, because of you and for you. Life’s invitation may appear to be framed in limitation, but really it is only an effect of the light at play, giving the illusion of a necessary separateness. Paradoxically, this is what lends the entire view its poignancy. It is found in the simple fact of temporality, in an inward breath of wonder, with the exhalation of awe. It is a gift of perspective upon which one might encompass that totality, that endless eternity. Dark and light, each highlighting the other; form and formlessness intertwined in meaning and movement; a dance of opposites in symbiosis, spiraling off into fractal beauty sketching out worlds without end. You can call it dreaming if it helps you conceptualize the practice, detaching as one does from the stress and static of the day, while we draw outside the lines of our reality and allow for imagination to fill in the blanks, letting wonder spread our wings as we formulate new worlds of discovery awaiting our curiosity, courage and creativity. And so we see that the backdrop of existence, be it the mad machinations of lunatic city states, over gorged politicos scrambling in their melee to reach their pyramid’s top, or the rabid froth of the politically and socially corrected, all yet have something in common with the velvety darkness of our night’s sky, as that starry stuff scintillating in the heavens reminds us too of ourselves, our purpose, our bloom, our own torch’s light.

ANY YEARS AGO I accepted a wellintentioned but presumptuous invitation with my own wellintentioned but naive expectations. The invitation was made by an Anglo woman speaking at UC Berkeley; a self-proclaimed, perhaps (perhaps not) indigenously sanctioned, liaison for the Dine (Dineh/ Navajo) people at Big Mountain-Black Mesa. She was rallying volunteers from the student body and general public to serve as witnesses to land and property infringements taking place there on indigenous lands. The Bureau of Indian Affairs was, at that time, confiscating livestock belonging to Dine families that grazed over the boundaries of certain areas under legal and cultural dispute. Many families were losing a prime source of income in this way and were financially unable to retrieve them from BIA impoundment. I travelled to New Mexico with a friend of mine from Guatemala who is half Mexican Indian. As a woman of mixed European and Native American heritage, I had often passed myself off as Latin American, so together he and I felt confident in our “fitting in” potential: ludicrous assumption, that. Any assumption based on such a false equation is bound to be exposed in all its erroneous glory, and more to the point, it reveals some sort of latent humor underlying the assumption of self-importance, one that usually emerges as a last laugh at the expense of the very personage so inflated by this puffy, inconsequential fluff. No exceptions here. My friend and I were placed with a household of the extensive Biakeddy family. Old Jesse, the patriarch, was a Vietnam veteran who had been a radio ‘code-talker’. He spoke in low monotones, delivering daily directives and wry humor with the same, unchanging expression. His wife spoke Navajo, and if she spoke English too she did not share that fact with us, though she was generous with her smiles and servings of mutton and fry bread. Their son, Ashke, was about sixteen, with a mischievous spark to his cultivated sullenness and a shock of spiked black hair styled in a sort of mullet-mohawk. On the afternoon of our arrival, Ashke took my friend and I on a ride in a low pickup truck that scraped along the rocky dirt roads, to a canyon where his family’s sheep were brought each day to graze. When we got out Ashke produced a scuffed-up looking pistol and told us we needed to know how to shoot it in case coyotes came after the sheep while we were on watch.
Reading Braille in the Desert
“Who’s first?” he asked. My friend shook his head and I, eager to prove my reliability and grit, reached for the gun. It was not my first time handling a firearm, but I lacked a basic finesse and competency, which soon came into evidence. Ashke pointed at the rock face several hundred yards in front of us, indicating to shoot that way, I assumed. I did so, but not before both the boys had clapped their hands to their ears, ducking into themselves with anticipation of the gun’s echoing report. I entirely neglected to consider that fact. I lost my hearing for almost two days. “You should’ve thought of that before you pulled the trigger”, Ashke said once I’d regained auditory capabilities. A succinct statement of the obvious. After a month with the Biakeddy household, waking before dawn to herd the sheep and goats through the desert; eating mutton on fry-bread; sleeping in a hammock outside, I began to loosen the grip of self-importance with which I’d been clutching a misconception of myself as some crucial payer in the cycles and the operations of daily life there. My true colors started to show in relation to my personal preferences. My earnest facade gave way to a somewhat more weary, grudging, sense of duty. My sense of ‹noble purpose’ diminished exponentially
as the days of babysitting the sheep and goats passed. I sometimes snuck peanut butter to spice up my fry bread, smuggling it to the woodshed with no small degree of shame. I fed mutton to the dog under the table. I snoozed on the ground while the livestock wandered off. But I still wanted to be helpful, or at least mildly useful. This final vestige of self-indulgence was stripped away like a band-aid over hairy skin when Old Jesse made an offhand comment to me one afternoon. His face emitted humor in the crinkles around his eyes, even as the rest of his face remained impassive; “You know we don’t really need you to mind the sheep and them guys, right? Nice sleeping in lately though”. More eye crinkles. “You really wanna be helpful?” I nodded, struck dumb as another simple statement of the obvious realigned my worldview. “You wanna make change, you gotta get to the source of the problem. And it ain’t here.” He laughed. “Go to school, learn how to make laws and write some better ones”. And that was it. He went back to his business and I began putting the pieces of my life plan back together into a different order. Old Jesse was a catalyst in my life. I had ventured there thinking to serve some purpose for a greater cause, but what I gained was humility and an unforgettable crash course in not taking myself too seriously. I did go to college, though it had not previously been my plan. I began with linguistics at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, studying Indigenous language revitalization movements (Hawaiian, Maori and Navajo, among others). I was granted a scholarship to spend a year in New Zealand studying the politics of Maori culture and sovereignty. There, a Maori elder suggested I could perhaps effect more constructive changes in the field of political science than in the field of linguistics. Another beautiful, stunning statement of the obvious to which I’d been oblivious. Another catalyst.
I changed my degree to poli-sci and added a minor degree in Human Rights law. I went on to complete a Masters degree in sociology with a focus on International Human Rights Law and Indigenous conflict resolution methodologies (Restorative Justice). My studies and life lessons took me to East Jerusalem and Ramallah, volunteering at a community center for Domari children and then to Pollsmoor Prison in Cape Town, South Africa, where teen gang members with facial tattoos and head scars disassembled my worldview for me once again. While the dawning realization that my steadily accrued knowledge base did nothing to really connect me to the deeper source of human suffering, historical trauma or authentically lived experiences of Native people in contemporary paradigms, it did avail me to a great range of resources: from the historical archives of individual indigenous testimonies to the empirical nuances of ceremonial PowWow in action. But my greatest learning came from sitting with humbled silence in a circle of Native women holding prayer for kin in great suffering; from hearing without words the message of Jesse Biakeddy again and again in my mind; from countless examples of the fundamental injustice, imbalance and disarray of the world order as it pertains to honoring Indigenous, Aboriginal, Native and First Nation integrity and sovereignty. And while I am perhaps no closer to effecting change, being useful or playing any kind of ‘important role’ in ameliorating things beyond my capacity, the essential awareness of my insignificance is coupled with resilient determination to show up again and again with the intention to bear witness, to lend grace, to hold space for effective change. I have been profoundly relieved of my delusions of importance, sustaining only a steady reminder to learn and let go, and always, always laugh when the opportunity presents itself, whether it’s at my own expense or that of a lesson well learned. It seems to me that there are times when reading the signs blindly, with intuition, spell out far more impactful messages than those seen with the glaring eye of assumed awareness. “Humor is the WD-40 of healing” (George Goodstriker, Indigenous Kainai elder). Fluoride Literally Turns Pineal Gland to Stone, Research Suggests BySayer Ji

esearch published in 2001 showed that fluoride (F) deposits in the pineal gland with age and is associated with enhanced gland calcification. Eleven aged cadavares were dissected and their pineal glands assayed: “There was a positive correlation between pineal F[luoride] and pineal Ca[lcium] (r = 0.73, p<0.02) but no correlation between pineal F and bone F. By old age, the pineal gland has readily accumulated F and its F/Ca ratio is higher than bone.” This is the not the first research to implicate fluoride in contributing to so-called ectopic calcification, or the calcification of soft tissue. We address this in a previous report on the potential for fluoride to calcify the arteries.
What Is The Pineal Gland?
The pineal gland is a small endocrine gland in the vertebrate brain, and is sometimes called the “third eye” as it is a light sensitive, centrally located organ with cellular features resembling the human retina. One article describes the role of the pineal gland in more technical terms here: “The role of the nonvisual photoreception is to synchronise periodic functions of living organisms to the environmental light periods in order to help survival of various species in different biotopes.” [http://www. greenmedinfo.com/article/nonvisualphotoreceptors-deep-brain-pinealorgans-and-retina] The pineal gland is best known for its role in producing the hormone melatonin from serotonin (triggered by the absence of light) and affects wake/sleep patterns and seasonal/circadian rhythms. Like a tiny pea-sized pine cone it is located near the center of the brain, between the two hemispheres, and is a unique brain structure insofar as it is not protected by the blood-brain-barrier. This may also explain why it is uniquely sensitive to calcification via fluoride exposure.
More Than An Endocrine Gland
Technically the mammalian pineal gland is neural tissue, and the cells within the pineal gland - the pinealocytes have characteristics that resemble the photoreceptor cells in the retina. This has given rise to the opinion that it should be reclassified: “In our opinion, the main trend of today’s literature on pineal functions-
The “third eye” is also a wellknown symbol in Eastern literature, and may be concretely grounded in the anatomical structure and function of the pineal gland.
Calcium Stones In the Brain

How Do We Prevent Pineal Gland Calcification?
Eliminating exposure to fluoride is the #1 priority. We can start by being careful about surreptitious forms of fluoride in Teflon, foods and beverages produced with municipal water, tap water, infant formula, fluoride containing drugs like Prozac, toothpaste, etc. We have collected a number of studies from the US National Library of Medicine on natural substances that mitigate fluoride toxicity. We also have a section on our database dedicated to finding substances that prevent or reverse other forms of pathological calcification, which may have relevance for pineal gland calcification, such as ectopic calcification. Lastly, there is research on the potential value of magnesium and phytate in reducing pineal gland calcification. Fluoride has a wide range of adverse effects. We have indexed over 60 diseases linked to this ubiquitous toxicant on the GreenMedInfo database. But based on the research presented here one new way of describing it’s adverse effects is as a “calcifier of the soul.” Sayer Ji is founder of Greenmedinfo. com, a reviewer at the International Journal of Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine, Co-founder and CEO of Systome Biomed, Vice Chairman of the Board of the National Health Federation, Steering Committee Member of the Global NonGMO Foundation. nformed consent is defined as an agreement given by a person or a responsible proxy (e.g., a parent) for participation in a study, immunization program, or treatment regimen, after being informed of the purpose, methods, procedures, benefits, and risks. ew people understand the Canadian government’s relationship with the Bank of Canada or the nature of the Bank’s original raison d’être. Back in 2011 a lawsuit had been filed in the Federal Court by the Committee on Monetary and Economic Reform against the Government of Canada and the Bank of Canada. The lawsuit attempted to restore the use of the Bank of Canada to its original purpose, by exercising its public statutory duty and responsibility. That purpose includes making interest-free loans to the municipal/provincial/federal governments for ‘human capital’ expenditures (education, health, other social services) and/or infrastructure expenditures. https://bit.ly/2vW942a

hich Naht Hanh, the Zen Buddhist master, has some interesting advice about what it means to truly let go. Many people mistake detachment or non-clinging to be a form of aloofness, or emotional disconnect from others, but as Hanh explains, truly letting go often means loving someone more than you have ever loved them before. The Buddha taught that detachment, one of the disciplines on the Noble Path, also called ariyasaavaka, is not a physical act of withdrawal or even a form of austerity. https://bit.ly/2jc3oI5

HERE IS NO shortage of patients curing their cancer on their own, with a little help from a medicinal plant we call cannabis. Recently, a 52-yearold woman from the United Kingdom revealed that cannabis oil saved her life. After a terminal cancer diagnosis and failed chemotherapy treatments, Joy Smith says that she was willing to try just about anything — including cannabis. In spite of her initial skepticism, Smith took a leap of faith that seems to have paid off in huge dividends. Two years after beginning treatment with cannabis oil, her stomach cancer is in complete remission and the last bits of cancer are just about gone. Smith, who hails from Coventry, says that doctors predicted she had just six weeks to live when they first diagnosed her stomach and bowel cancer. Many of the tumors were deemed inoperable, and experts pushed her to try chemotherapy to extend her life. But, as is so often the case, chemo just made her condition worse: She developed sepsis and her line had to be taken out. It was then that she learned some of her friends had been looking into alternative treatments for her — including cannabis. Smith told the Coventry Telegraph, “When you’re told you have six weeks to live you’ll try anything, trust me.” “I was a bit skeptical about the oil at first as I’d never taken drugs or anything like that – but I know I would not be here today without it. I want to tell everybody,” she continued. “Cannabis oil should be legalized for medical purposes – people are dying and the chemotherapy isn’t curing them,” the cancer survivor contended. While Joy may have been
Doctors Shocked When Cannabis Oil Cures Woman of Terminal Cancer
apprehensive about cannabis oil initially, learning about other people who had success treating their cancer with it inspired her to be more confident. Soon, she saw her own results — which ultimately convinced her of the plant’s potency against one of the world’s leading killer diseases. “I was taking it on and off. But when I’d been having it three to five times a week, the scans were getting better and then when I stopped taking it the scans showed no change,” she explained. Why are governments continuing to outlaw this safe, affordable and highly effective solution against cancer? “Widespread awareness and legalization of cannabis as anti-cancer medicine would collapse the for-profit
cancer industry which depends on a neverending supply of cancer patients for their profits and government funding,” explained Mike Adams, the “Health Ranger,” publisher of Cancer.news and other medical science news sites. “For millions of people around the world, the answer to cancer is literally a weed that grows for free, yet tyrannical governments around the world are beholden to the financial interests of the corrupt cancer industry, and they enforce prohibition against natural medicine, denying the populations of the world a basic human right: access to natural medicine,” Adams added. Joy has described herself as a “walking miracle” after doctors in Spain confirmed that the cannabis oil was healing her cancer. But, unsurprisingly, other members of the mainstream medical community have shunned her treatment protocol. Julie Frater, from Cancer Research UK, reportedly commented, “We don’t advise patients to use cannabis oil or any alternative therapies to treat cancer. Standard medical treatments for cancer are all evidence-based so have been
tested to see how safe and effective they are.” Of course, recent research has shown that chemotherapy is anything but safe; it can actually make cancer spread faster and become more virulent than it was before. As Joy Smith’s case has shown, chemo isn’t the godsend the medical community purports it to be. The truth may be suppressed by mainstream medicine, but many people are turning to cannabis oil and other natural remedies in an effort to fight off their cancer — and there is no shortage of success. In September 2017, another brave woman revealed that cannabis oil had cured her “incurable” brain cancer. As usual, where modern “medicine” fails, plants rule. Another cancer survivor came forward earlier this year, to tell the world that plant medicine had cured her breast cancer in just five months. Despite the clear volume of people successfully treating cancer with cannabis, the mainstream medical establishment refuses to even consider the possibility of plant medicine. BC NEWS AUSTRALIA recently reported on a story about a desperate father. Stephen Taylor’s two daughters were fighting Crohn’s disease, which causes chronic inflammation of the digestive tract. When all else failed, Taylor turned to juicing cannabis and discovered that the plant may have the potential to cure his daughters’ illness.
Cannabis Juice Eases Gut Inflammation and Pain
Taylor’s two daughters, Morgan (21) and Ariel (25), have been fighting Crohn’s disease for many years. This auto-immune disease attacks the lining of the digestive tract, causing chronic inflammation. The symptoms include weight loss, chronic pain, ulcers, rectal bleeding, diarrhea, and anemia. Both Morgan and Ariel were repeatedly hospitalized due to the illness. At one instance, Ariel almost hemorrhaged to death. In addition, Morgan suffered horrible side effects from the drugs used to treat her. For example, she had a severe allergic reaction to one drug and her throat started to close up. Another drug gave her extreme arthritis to where she couldn’t walk for days. All of this changed when their father started giving them cannabis juice. Both daughters’ symptoms subsided, and they gained weight. Taylor told ABC that he believes cannabis sent Morgan into remission.
Juicing Cannabis vs. Smoking
Taylor decided to administer cannabis to his daughter in juice form. This means
Page 12
Father Effectively Treats Daughters’ Crohn’s Disease By Juicing Cannabis that he was juicing the green material of the plant, such as the leaves and stems. His ideal dose was 30 ml of cannabis juice, administered three times per day. Taylor decided to grow his own plants to be able to obtain all of the green material that he needed. Juicing cannabis is much different than smoking it. Iain McGregor is the professor of Psychopharmacology at the Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics at Sydney University. He explained to ABC this difference: “In many ways, juicing is a positive thing to do because you don’t get nearly as much of the intoxicating element, which is THC [tetrahyrdocannabinol] and you get another component of cannabinoid, which is THCA [tetrahydocannabinolic acid], which has very strong anti-inflammatory properties in the gut.” McGregor added: “Proper clinical trials on THCA have not been done and this is one of the generic problems that we have with medicinal cannabis, this prohibition that we have over the years is really stymieing progress in terms of learning the therapeutic effects of the plant.” The Australian government continues to be very cautious when it comes to giving access to medical cannabis. Lack of
research is one of the reasons for this.
The Struggle to Obtain Access to Legal Medical Cannabis
Medical cannabis has been legal in Australia since late 2016. Yet, it is very difficult to obtain. McGregor conveyed that there are only about 500 patients who are using the proper channels to obtain cannabis. On the other hand, he estimated that up to 100,000 Australians are using cannabis to self-medicate a variety of health issues. Proponents of medical cannabis argue that access to the plant should not be as difficult as the government makes it. Dr Bastian Seidel represents general practitioners across Australia. He stated: “It doesn’t make sense; your postcode should not determine whether you have access to treatment.” Because Taylor couldn’t find a doctor willing to go through the proper application process for cannabis administration, he decided to grow the plants himself. Regardless that he’s using the plants to effectively treat his daughters, the government still considers his actions illegal. The police raided Taylor’s home and found 107 plants. He now faces criminal charges. Once again, his daughters Morgan and Ariel must face their illness without access to an effective treatment.

fix’ guruism; that is, costly paid retreats, so-called spiritual counseling, and ‘life coaching’ mentorship. Yet these are like fast-food remedies for a deeper hunger. The real struggle today is not that which we see in the media – cultural clashes, voiced opinions, and political oppositions – but rather it is between the material perspective on life and that of the inner, spiritual dimension. Our cultures and societies are in disequilibrium because they seek to be governed by artificially constructed laws that ignore the timeless wisdom of the ancient understanding. Our societies do not take into account human purpose and the meaning of our existence. They lead us to live by working, to enjoy through diversions, and to eventually die with debt and taxes. It is clear that the world is protected by the personal interests of power. There is no fairness or equity in this lopsided arrangement. Conferences of peace are based on compromise and not compassion. Trade is based on strength rather than collaboration. And power and might still rules the waves (from airwaves to space orbit). Power and politics has split apart; power has now shifted into an extraterritorial space that is beyond boundaries, nations, laws, visibility, and accountability. The real powers that run our world are now invisible, intangible, and almost unknown were it not at the same time so pervasive and dangerous Today’s so-called modern cultures are increasingly fragmented, or like liquid streams, that can no longer be accurately identified or navigated by the old signs, symbols, and meanings. Modern life has, to some degree, started to dissolve in order to re-assemble. Likewise, personal power is finding its new space, within each person and through their networks. The individual is reassembling their own sense of power too. We have entered a period of an uncertain assemblage where social forms are dissolving faster than new ones can replace them. A feature of our current times is that the new ways of thinking and behaviour have not yet fully materialized into tangible, long-term frames of reference. That is, they have not yet had sufficient time to be able to form or hold their shape. The present, however, only has a short shelf life. Our relationships are now more fluid than ever, forming through connections, networks, and distances, rather than only through our localized cultures or local acquaintances. One consequence
of this is that our personal lives are in danger of becoming now less about actual experience and more about the data we leave as trails behind us. We have entered another struggle – another social fray – where we battle between the transparency of our private and public lives. We parade our private life in public – our photos, our song choices, favourite videos, new romantic engagements, marriage announcements, and all the rest – and yet our deep sense of what we can call our true self gets covered over as if we fear what others may see. We willingly make our private lives public, yet we shy away from exposing, or even acknowledging, our true life – our quiet, inner voice that whispers to us in the dark (A voice in the dark whispered to me saying ‘There is no such thing as a voice whispering in the dark.’) Our joy of attention, of being noticed, is offset (or bought out) at the expense of personal disclosure. We parade what we consider to be our ‘selves’ because we now have a friendlittered platform on which to perform. We feel connected upon one level, yet can we sustain this sense of human connectivity at a more fundamental, essential level? I myself am not immune from this situation. I have an online social network where I share news on my life, and photos from my travels. The question here – and this is the question in all matters – is to strike
the balance between sharing and overexposure, between genuine joy and the need for attention. In some ways, we can see a parallel with the religious sense of confession. We have lived for centuries with the medieval sense of confession; that is, I refer to the intimate, confidential whisper to the priest (rather than the tortured confession ripped out of us). Now we are treated to public confessions bordering on self—advertising. From the blogs, social media posts, to videos that display exhibitionism once frowned on by most cultures. Secrecy – the secret self – is now seen as something anti-social. ‘What, you don’t want to tell me your age, or who you were dating last night?’ Schoolchildren are now more likely to be bullied online than at school. And it is not only the kids who suffer from online bullying, or the ‘trolls’ as they are also referred to. From celebrities to everyday folk, we are all susceptible to the cyber molestation and inhumane treatment that these modern times make available. At the same time, we should recognize that the online platform – the Internet, the World Wide Web – doesn’t steal our humanity, it reflects it. This medium doesn’t so much get inside us as it shows what’s inside of us. In short, we need to change what’s inside of us if we wish to see a better future. Our minds – our thinking and
consciousness – needs to change, otherwise things will stay the same. Modern thinking patterns have given us warfare on a global scale as well as genocide – the Holocaust and the systematic torture and ‘rational’ murder, from concentration camps to tyrannical ‘ethnic cleansing.’ Our technologies are now being utilized for social sorting, surveillance, cultural conditioning, and a vast range of practices that promote willing servitude. The real site of freedom can only be within us – our inner self – and it is to this we must turn. As is now quite clear, our external world is indeed amidst a series of profound crises. To put it another way, we are approaching a collective species near-death experience. And yet knowing all this, I continue to remain positive about our human future. If we have a future that is the same as now, or worse, then it is not a future – it is a prolonged uncomfortable continuation of the old, dysfunctional ways. And yet all human history has been about change and transition. In each epoch there have been moments of discomfort and disruption – of course, some epochs more so than others. Ours is also a time of flux, flow, and flexibility. It is also a time for making crucial choices as individuals, families, communities, and societies – in short, as human beings. It is an important time for managing our psychological, emotional, and physical states. We may be uncertain about the future, yet we have the technologies to radically transform our age into something unprecedented. We have both external technologies as well as what I call ‘technologies of the soul.’ What we are, we transmit to others. If we display basic ‘animalistic’ urges and behaviour then this is what we share with others and the world around us. It is now time to be both sensible and soul-ful. Let us remember that any society or civilization that does not recognize the human as a spiritual being will fall short in its accomplishments. Our aim is not to fall short – not in the long run, at least. Yet recognition of the human as a spiritual being will not come from the world, and definitely not from our social-culturalpolitical institutions first. It will first only come from the individual. And it is from here that the genuine change must be nurtured. The self in modern life is about recognizing this choice, and to act upon it. It will not be easy, for all the socio-political and technological obstacles mentioned above. And yet it must be a force of unwavering inner commitment and genuine self-trust. We must choose where we wish to be, internally. We must choose our freedom from within.

Turn Your Mind into an Ally Your Negative Thoughts Hold Less Power By Joe Gannon
to reclaim my power and my rightful position as the architect of my own future.
N SAKYONG MIPHAM’S book, Turning the Mind Into an Ally, he likens training the human brain to taming a wild horse. Since the average person has between 50,000 and 70,000 thoughts a day, it’s no wonder we can sometimes feel as if our minds are under attack, especially when negative thoughts raid the shores of our consciousness. Similar to a cowboy riding a bucking bronco, imagine every kick of the horse’s powerful legs as an equally powerful thought invading the halls of your awareness, nonstop, basically forever.

When the Mind Attacks!
Fear is the most negative energy that exists in its vibration and the most “hateful” thing we can do to one another is encouraging one another to be fearful, or inflicting pain because of our belief systems. By keeping the general population in fear, we feel “threatened” whether we realize it or not. And as a matter of fact the U.S. has been in a declared “State of Emergency” since 1933, which has the intention of fear. This fear leaves us in a constant state of stress, in the fight or flight reaction it brings, thus leaving the Soul to quietly be consumed by the unhealthy emotions that fear brings — in its many forms.
Energy, Power, Wealth and Resources
In stark contrast, the supportive Universe is teeming with Life and is Limitless and Infinite by its very nature. The point being that if we are supporting an “elitist” system - the Universe is also supporting this system as we Live in a supportive Universe. It’s quite obvious that the “elite” feel that they are entitled to resources including energy, water, and financial wealth — but where does that leave the rest of the 99%? I don’t know who decided that they were in charge of auctioning off resources that belong to ALL of Humanity’s children. As a child of my Creator, it is quite logical and apparent to me that I don’t have to “earn” my right to be here in the first place, and I certainly
shouldn’t have to pay or fight for resources that are for ALL of us and not just a select few. When we support an elitist agenda we are in fact enabling ourselves to give our Power away to some sort of “authority figure”, and then think that said authority figure is going to come to the rescue when times get tough. As many are finding out, this is not going to happen. The scary part is that the agenda has never been in favor of the masses but yet we support it anyway and, not only that, we teach our children to support it. This inadvertently leaves behind a legacy that cannot sustain itself or our planet, which is also consumed by our “negativity” in a physical and spiritual way.
Energy and Resources
Energy is an important factor in this discussion, especially when one takes into account that Free Energy Technology has existed for quite some time. For those who are still skeptical of this, please check out the open sourced documents for a quantum energy generator (http://hopegirl2012. files.wordpress.com/2014/03/qeg-usermanual-3-25-14.pdf) and this short clip of the Quantum Energy Generator reaching resonance for the first time in the One People Community Aouchtam workshop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7– G5qSDag Fossil fuel and the petro-dollar are the cornerstone of our enslavement as this gives the “elite” all the excuse they need to invade countries for their resources under the guise of “terrorism”. With a select few “stealing” energy from the masses by way of fossil fuel when there are cleaner and better ways, we can begin to see how the global resources have been manipulated to line the pockets of the few while leaving the masses in poverty, illness, homelessness and hunger. The mainstream media is owned by corporate conglomerates who, such as oil tycoons the Koch Brothers, buy the way for their agendas to make it into law and governance, and decide whether or not to report their dealings on the “news”.

This is also true for the pharmaceutical companies in that they do not promote Healing or Wellness rather they invent illness so they can profit from treating the symptoms but typically not the root cause. Have you ever noticed how doctors know exactly what surgery to perform or exactly what drug to prescribe that only treats the symptoms but rarely the root cause of the illness? It’s baffling that insurance companies refuse to pay for more holistic treatments and approaches

In this world moving forward with technological advances at an exponential rate, we too must work harder than ever to evolve at a soul-deep level. We humans are good by nature. The instinct to help each other is hardwired in our DNA, but an injured person cannot help another injured person. For those who want to help others, you must first help yourself, and to help yourself, there’s no better place to start than with your mind! “The mind can be a powerful ally or your greatest enemy.” – Katara, Avatar: The Last Air Bender.
man and forced into slavery for 12 years. Solomon Northrup had already known Freedom but other slaves that had been born into slavery couldn’t be convinced that they were indeed “slaves”. This raises the question of how would we know that we don’t know in the first place? Furthermore, if we are born into an invisible slavery system based on a prison of fear and negativity, how would we be able to recognize it if it’s all we know and all our parents know? Especially if our parents and their parents perpetuated the fear based mentality by passing it down from generation to generation?

As a stroke survivor, I have experienced this form of mental agony in a way that only a small percentage of the population has. Other than the physical side effect of losing sight on my right peripheral, there were other psychological issues that began to wreak havoc on my mental fortitude as well. At the time of the stroke, I was working in finance in New York City and after returning to work only a couple short weeks post-stroke, I found it incredibly difficult to perform tasks that I was once able to handle with ease. I found myself thinking crazy thoughts that held no merit whatsoever! At one point I thought that I would be living on the streets because I wouldn’t be able to hold down a job and that no one would want to be around me because I was now mentally challenged and that I should just kill myself so that I wouldn’t be a burden on anyone. Looking back on it now, I’m able to laugh at the absurdity of these beliefs, but at the time they were very real. Truly at this dark corner of my life, my mind had become the greatest adversary I have ever encountered. The details of this story can be found here: CE Article: I Was Living The “American Dream” Then Had A Stroke At Age 30 & It Turned My Life Around (http://www.collective-evolution. com/2017/12/21/i-thought-i-had-itall-working-until-i-had-a-stroke-atage-30-turned-my-life-around/) Long story short, I searched for and found a way to regain control of my thoughts so that I could live out the rest of my days in the driver seat of my own life. I had wasted so much time worrying and stressing out about the possibility of worstcase scenario outcomes instead of working
Penor Rinpoche once told Sakyong Mipham “Life is more difficult if you worry. It’s better to deal with things as they come up.” This was one of the great lessons for me in the book Turning the Mind Into an Ally. Spending time dwelling on what MAY be instead of working to create what WILL be is just ridiculous to me now. For those looking to assist others in developing their minds so that they can work in their favour, think about it as riding a horse. “We don’t tame such a strong majestic creature by beating the spirit out of it. Instead, we work with its raw power and turn that energy in a certain direction.” ~ Sakyong Mipham What if we all worked together to offer a helping hand to those in need instead of imposing our will and unwarranted personal beliefs on them? How would our planet change? Perhaps this could turn karma to our favour one day when the timing is right. “When we live life in service to ourselves, our life force naturally diminishes. Until all beings achieve the level of a Buddha, I hope to be courageous in working for the happiness of others. This expresses the motivation of the bodhisattva warrior, one who vows to develop his enlightened mind in order to help others. Generosity, discipline, patience, exertion, meditation and wisdom keep turning our mind to enlightenment like a flower seeking sunlight.” ~ Sakyong Mipham

ODAY, NOT MANY people in the precarious western world know what constitutes authentic Mysticism. Giving the matter thought, most minds drift east, to think of Hinduism, Buddhism, and holier-thanthou figures such as Parmahansa Yogananda, Sai Baba, the Dalai Lama, Eckhart Tolle, and a host of other self-appointed avatars in orange robes, rolling beads, talking about the Atman, nirvana, mindfulness, reincarnation and the ending of attachment and desire. They teach their devotees about pseudo-mystical topics such as timelessness, selflessness, austerity, renunciation, service, devotion, meditation, and of course the big one - Karma. Saying that none of this charlatanism is true Mysticism is to be greeted with headscratching, raised eyebrows and kneejerk disbelief. To contradict what millions believe, and naysay the purpose of those sitting at their guru’s feet, doesn’t get you invited to many parties. Above all, never mention the superiority of the western mystical tradition. Don’t bring up Blake, Swedenborg, Schelling, Goethe, Steiner, Spinoza, Whitehead, Rilke or Emerson. That ruins the fun of genuflecting before Big Daddy. The impenetrable “intellectualism” of these men can’t match the exotic wisdom of Oriental climes, right? For goodness sake never let it be known that almost every eastern spiritual tradition originated in the west, with prehistoric visitors from Britain and Scandinavia. That is the heresy of all heresies. Don’t remind people that the Aryavartha - the Indian residence of the ancient western spiritual aristocracy - was the origin of the Vedas, Shastras, and most forms of Hinduism. Don’t mention that the astronomical positions of the sun, moon and other luminaries, as recorded in the Vedas,
Page 16
Mysticism
Truth or Falsity conform to positions which could only have been observed and charted in climes far to the north-west of India, the supposed scriptorium of said holy documents. No, we must never let it be known that Hinduism and Buddhism are cannibalizations and corruptions of a more august Pre-Vedic epoch, when the principles of high Mysticism were taught by adepts of purer, nobler sort. Despite the frauds of later antiquarians and historians, we understand that the world’s richest and deepest traditions, in many intellectual and spiritual fields, were born in Britain and Europe. This goes for the Mystical Tradition, and unbiased men of wisdom willingly acknowledge this irrefutable fact. The proofs confirming the existence of Spirit, searched for by so many, emanate from lands such as England and Germany. They are to be found in the works of William Blake, Nicolas Malebranche, George Berkeley, Friedrich Schelling, Georg Hegel, Alfred North Whitehead, and other sages whose
work has been systematically ignored and misinterpreted. In my video series Mysticism: Truth or Falsity, the underlying principles of western Mysticism are examined and tested for strength. Do they hold up sufficiently after centuries of Materialism and absurd reductionism? As I show, they certainly do. Great schools of modern philosophy have come and gone - Cartesianism, Behaviorism, Positivism, Pragmatism, Linguistic Analysis, and others, have largely fallen under their own weight. But in my opinion, Idealism and Mysticism are back with a vengeance. They have stood the test of time, and despite the prejudices of establishment naysayers, recent discoveries in neuroscience support their central tenets. Of course, you probably haven’t heard much about this. You probably don’t know about the colossal meltdown happening in the corridors of philosophy and science. Papers have gone flying in the ivory towers, as the pervading, supposedly iron-clad ideologies of Materialism disintegrate in the light of new discoveries about the brain. You probably don’t realize that there has been a gradual, covert u-turn occurring, as the suits cunningly keep the lights burning while desperately climbing the walls and chewing the carpets. What can be done about the revelations of Ken Wilber, Bruce Lipton, Rupert Sheldrake, Richard Tarnas, Kevin Ward, Raymond Tallis, Anthony Peake, Michael Cremo, Iain McGilchrist, and their like, they bellow? Why are we unable to challenge their findings, or those of former dissenters such as Arthur Koestler, Ilya Prigogine, David Bohm and Karl Pribham, etc? In my opinion, the time has come for the world to know exactly what has been going on. These are exceptionally important matters, affecting each of us on so many levels. Additionally, I am personally motivated to make sure that with all the recent paradigm-busting going on, the great sages of the past are not forgotten. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, being brought forth by modern-day mavericks that wasn’t already discovered and enunciated by brilliant intellects of previous centuries. Students of the western mystical tradition know that Hegel, Schelling, Steiner and other German Idealists were indebted to many earlier sages, such as William Blake, Jacob Bohme, Justin Martyr, Meister Eckhart, Nicolas Cusanus and Isaac Luria. The Idealists of the eighteenth century made no secret about their indebtedness. Sadly, as years passed, and as men turned from being lovers of wisdom to cravers of the power knowledge gets them, citation all but ceased. Many a sage’s seminal contribution has been airbrushed from history. Even when their ideas are acknowledged, we tend to find them drastically misinterpreted and misrepresented. So is it with authentic Mysticism. The disciples of scientism and Materialism deface it repeatedly. It is dirty work, but they are well suited to it. It’s work that must be done, since their entire rotten edifice depends on deception and chicanery. The world must never be informed about the true tenets of Mysticism, and never allowed to discover how empirical and rational they are. In my program Mysticism: Truth of Falsity, the deceptions are removed, allowing us to see
what precious and profound treasures lie concealed and largely forgotten. In future presentations on philosophy and the western magical tradition, the story will be disclosed further. As said, it’s a great saga that must receive the attention of as many unbiased, conscientious people as possible. The future of the wayward west depends on this knowledge being contemplated by awakened souls, lest they believe instead that eastern charlatans, dispensing various techniques of self-mortification and autohypnosis, be equated with mystics of Blake’s calibre. My program follows on from a magnum opus on the symbolism of the Major Arcana. Throughout my earlier Path of the Fool series, which took over three years to complete, the central principles of Mysticism and Idealism were also explored, leading to some mega revelations about spirituality, existence, identity, time, sexuality, consciousness and meaning. However, despite the depth of the series, it was obvious that no single program can delve into all the details about this mighty subject. So, the great work continues. The lies of Materialists and the disciples of scientism come under attack from various sources and minds. I carefully explore these perceptive attacks throughout my program. When deeply contemplated we find them overcoming the apparently impenetrable fortifications of the physicalists. We find them decimating the arguments against mystical thought purveyed by Neo-Materialists such as George Lakoff, Steven Pinker, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Daniel Dennett, and others of their brood. Of course, I am not speaking about tired old religious rebuttals to their arguments. In my opinion religious thinking has done more damage to authentic Mysticism than science. Let us not forget that the obscenities of religion caused the rise of materialist science. To give the latter its fair due, it was a necessary reaction against an imperious demagoguery that espoused its own brand of antihuman, an-
tinatural dogma. I do not come from that invidious club, nor from from academia, and am, therefore, neutral and free to inquire deeply into matters of philosophy without concern about hassle and censorship from “upstairs.” The scientific demagoguery and haughty contempt for Non-Materialist ideas and traditions is gruesomely apparent in the works of Berkeley professor and champion of Neo-Materialism, George Lakoff. In Philosophy in the Flesh, he contemptuously sweeps aside every world tradition except for his narrow brand of Materialism. All of it must be “revisioned,” he writes. It’s all rubbish, is what he means. Throughout this propagandist book he repudiates and scoffs at his nemesis. It might be acceptable, except that the book’s content - meant to be his devastating intellectual critique of the Non-Materialist worldview - fails to do the job. Sorry, George. In an earlier book on the same subject, Metaphors We Live By, the kid gloves are on. Lakoff and his co-author weren’t so sure of the public and academic reaction (or the sales), and decided to downplay their obnoxious dogmatism. But when the follow-up was prepared, it appears that Lakoff and his publishers were no longer as apprehensive. Lakoff was recast as a Goliath sent out to wield his academic club and bash skulls. He went from a smiling, cuddly, cardigan-wearing Berkelean prof, to Frank Nitti “the Enforcer” in two shakes. What’s new? some of you say. That’s right, I agree. These types can’t really help it. Despite the wreckage around them, they’re not about to call it quits and gracefully depart the world stage. Philosophy in the Flesh makes hilarious reading because of the author’s sophomore crowing. The earlier book makes better reading, even though its central arguments about reality and consciousness are painfully weak and unsustainable. (I show how and why in the program.) We should know by now to distrust institutionalized ideologies. As said, the proprietary tone adopted by Lakoff and other Materialists should be enough to reveal their gang colors and distinguish them from thinkers of a more sincere, sensitive kind. Indeed, truly penetrating thinkers – such as Blake, Schelling, Goethe, Rank, Croce, Barfield, Whitehead, Heidegger, Tillich and MerleauPonty, etc, realize that man is in his essence an Aesthetic being. In light of this, the philosophy of Aesthetics must be positioned above Metaphysics, Epistemology and Ethics. Traditionally, it has always been tacked on the end, in fourth place. What devastatingly folly, and what disaster this error has wrought for the world. When we do the crucial inversion, the lower three branches of philosophy suddenly take on a remarkably profound complexion. In fact, everything changes. Our worldview and insight into every esoteric matter upgrades and our understanding of reality becomes vividly clear at last. I show in my program just how Aesthetics and Mysticism are connected. My teachings in this regard are consistent with those of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Benedetto Croce, Martin Heidegger and Otto Rank, showing that not only is man to be considered an Artist, but also as a work of Art, in the highest heroic sense. With this truism about the supreme importance of Aesthetics grasped and deeply contemplated, we find ourselves able to undertake the deconstruction of scientism and Materialism. We know why they came into existence in the first place, and why they have plagued humankind. We see why a posthuman world beckons, and why billions of dollars are awarded to the high priests of cybernetics and artificial intelligence. (No matter that Hubert Page 17
Dreyfus, Raymond Tallis and others have shown conclusively that computers will never replace brains, computation being fundamentally different from thought and knowledge. Let’s not doubt that the deconstruction of scientism must proceed at all costs. The advocates of antihuman technology are forging ahead to establish their demented dystopia despite the facts. They are completely embalmed inside their materialist worldviews, and won’t nobly concede defeat. They’ve been making hay as the masses labor under misapprehensions about NonMaterialist ideas and traditions. The senior hive-minds - the “architects of control” - are psychologically drugged by the power of their self-appointed roles as world saviors. As Blake pointed out, they are victims of “Single Vision and “Newtonian Sleep.” To demolish their “Satanic Mills” takes a special kind of insight and skill. It is essentially apophatic work. Of course, deconstruction isn’t mere destruction. Something wholesome and human must be put in the place of what is obliterated. Deconstruction also requires considerable reverence for the past, and the recognition of the legacy of great sages who labored throughout the centuries to counter Materialist demagoguery. Again, I don’t necessarily refer to religious thinkers. Religion and materialistic science are, in this context, simply two sides of a worthless coin - a counterfeit currency. It’s a case of Tweedledum versus Tweedledee; two hideous twins who very much depend on each other for their identities. No, I think of the greats of the British, German and European mystical tradition, whose insights are implicitly present within the work of eminent thinkers such as Hegel, Schelling, Goethe, Steiner and Whitehead, etc. We sorely need a science and a culture based on their invaluable teachings, something in accord with nature’s true nature. These men taught that determinism is an absurd falsity, that a spiritual will set the laws of nature into motion while extending free will to human consciousness. They knew that a world of matter doesn’t exist, and that the apriori capacities of mind certainly do not originate from worldly experiences and encounters. They knew that nature is sacred, why external light is a worthy synonym for mental wisdom, why minds are inside bodies, and that perceptions aren’t passive. They knew why twodimensional perceptions are transformed into three-dimensional images by the brain, and why neurons know where to go and what to do without perceivable directives. Such men were able to account for duality, and why opposites are inevitable factors internally and externally. They also knew the difference between ethics and morality, conscience and law, shame and guilt. They knew why we presume nature something separate from mind, why supernatural realms and an afterlife were accepted without logical proof, and why body and world were deemed cages of spirit. They knew the true nature of time and memory, and the reason for man’s everlasting search for “truth.” More importantly, the sages of old knew exactly why men are victims of self-deception. It’s a malignant condition which Blake referred to as the “Mind-Forged Manacles.” From this toxic psychological condition come the dire institutions of indoctrination. From these bastions of groupthink come the high priests of scientism, programming the minds and hearts of those under their tutelage. In their classes and books we find no mention of Schelling, Schwaller de Lubicz, Malebranche, Blake, Whitehead or Emerson. The works of such thinkers is heavily plagiarized and revamped, or consigned to the academic dustbin. In place of it we are assured that the brain is nothing more than a programmable machine, and that the universe is also a mecha-
nism to be understood by intellect alone. Throwing off this nonsense, and questioning every part of it is nigh on impossible today. It takes too much time, time best spent having fun. It requires reading and profound contemplation, and that’s poison today. We prefer that other people ask the deep questions. We look to the “expert” to explain mysteries that puzzle
and disturb us. Because of this capitulation, a state of decay abounds throughout academia and the world at large. Some very deviant people have found the seats of learning vacant of great minds. As professor Allan Bloom and other social critics long ago realized and warned, the navigators who seized the helm of western education are steering headlong toward a precipice from which there is no return. It was apparent to Bloom that their interest isn’t in education at all, but indoctrination. Tell me he was wrong, if you dare. It is not an inconsequential distraction to examine the principles of Mysticism to see if they remain firm and true. It’s not frivolous to dust off old tomes of distinction and delve into their wisdom. It’s been my job and duty for over thirty years. I mine these treasures and present the greatest concepts in clear, modern language that everyone can understand and embody. I’ve gone through the works of the world’s most eminent western thinkers and
abstracted that which makes most sense to present-day readers seekers. A central premise of my personal philosophy is that there is no problem facing us today that doesn’t have its solution already at hand. History should be synonymous with Truth. Indeed, history is the repository of truth, an Aladdin’s Cave of solutions and wisdom ignored at our peril. As I compose my programs and books on these and related subjects, I am profoundly aware of the psychic wounds which underlie consciousness, and what it takes to heal them. I am also aware of the future world inherited by the young. Regrettably, every postwar generation has shown its expertise at embodying and replaying the colossal error of the past, none of the wisdom. Thankfully, however, error doesn’t compromise wisdom for those with their hearts in the right place. If it were otherwise, we’d have no choice but to deem all the sacrifice and industry of our predecessors wasted. Is Shakespeare, Cervantes, Byron, Hardy, Shelley, Bronte, Dore, Dali, Beethoven, Mozart, Kepler, Copernicus, Heidegger, Rank, Rand and every other author, artist, inventor and champion of ideas, to be dumped out as useless? Give way to that notion and you sign the death warrant of humanity. It is to this vile vision that we must resolutely cry NO…IT SHALL NOT BE! The hardest work has already been done by illustrious ancestors, so as long as we respectfully turn to their superlative guidance, there is hope for the future. And we have one fail-safe proof of any feasible theory or design for humanity’s betterment. Implement it well, and come back in fifteen years to see if there is any improvement in the world’s state. I dare say that the solutions presented throughout my series on Mysticism will transform existence for the better, personally and socially, in far less time.

EFORE WE GET into archetypes, let’s answer a vital question. What would you do if you already had a billion dollars? Forget how or why you have the money. Forget what you would spend the money on. Focus on what you would do with your life now that you’re financially secure. What do you love to do? What are you passionate about? What makes you hungry for more (other than money)? What fills you up with fiery enthusiasm and ecstatic joy? The answer to these questions holds the secret to getting your shit together. Becoming curious about your answers, and then honing-in on how they relate to each other, can lead you to your life’s purpose. As Stephen Kotler said, “Passion exists at the intersection of three or more things you’re really curious about.” Discovering what you’re passionate about gives you purpose, and that’s the first step in getting your shit together. If for any reason you can’t seem to get past this first step, just skip to the second step. That second step, practiced often enough, should get you to a place where you can answer vital questions. The second step is giving your newfound purpose some direction; something your mind can hang its hat on. Your mind needs leverage. It needs guideposts and life-hooks and symbolic stepping-stones. It needs archetypes. Archetypes provide a powerful way to understand the human mind. They map
Page 18
The Archetypal Path to Getting Your Shit Together
out the multilayered manifestations of the mindscape: Because the human mind is anything but singular, it is multifariously plural. A multitude of archetypal characters exist there. Most of which reside in the unconscious, working behind the scenes but influencing almost everything we do. They influence behavior, trigger emotions, and provide meaning. “Archetypes,” wrote Jung, “are the living system of reactions and aptitudes that determine the individual’s life in invisible ways.” Archetypes are unconscious psychosocial symbols representing forms, themes, and concepts in the world. Archetypes are ideas that resonate across a wide swathe of the human experience, despite differing conditions.
They are kind of like a foundational human story, something we intuitively understand. They instinctively feel true. Why is this? It’s because the human mind is a storytelling machine. It’s a symbolic generator par excellence, inputting symbols and outputting symbols almost entirely behind the scenes. Archetypes are just the mythological personification of these unconscious symbols. They are cross-cultural. So, when you think of archetypes, think about them as set patterns of behavior (and/or ways of being. Ed.) shared by all of humanity. Here is a short list of the most common archetypes: The Hero: warrior, adventurer, outlaw, revolutionary. The Shadow: inner-darkness, darkside, fear, power. The Trickster: fool, jester, shapeshifter, sacred clown. The Eternal Child: inner child, beginner’s mind, youth, rebirth. The Old Wise Man: wizard, magician, sage, monk. The Old Wise Woman: Mother Nature, caregiver, nurturer, womb.
So how can archetypes help us get our shit together? The more we learn how archetypes work, the better we will be at identifying the patterns that influence most of human behavior. The more we understand archetypes, the more we are able to differentiate from them. Which is important because the more we differentiate from archetypes, the less unconscious influence they will have over us and the more conscious awareness we will have over them. Differentiating archetypes can also help us recognize the influence that archetypes have over others. And the more we can identify the archetypes in others, the more we can see the patterns of behavior within ourselves. Conversely, the more we can witness these behavioral patterns in ourselves, the more understanding we’ll have for others. Archetypes are like doorways to behavioral change. They are doorways to knowing the self. They get to the source of what ails us. They lead us down into the unconscious forces hidden beneath the surface. Walking through the doorway of the Hero, for example, gives us courage. The archetype of the hero becomes a tool to leverage more courage into our lives. It plants the seed of a heroic bent. It gives us the ears needed to hear the call to adventure. It gives us the heart needed to

“Who are the men who without our realizing it, give us our ideas, tell us whom to admire and whom to despise, what to believe about the ownership of public utilities, about the tariff, about the price of rubber, about the Dawes Plan, about immigration; who tell us how our houses should be designed, what furniture we should put in them, what menus we should serve on our table, what kind of shirts we must wear, what sports we should indulge in, what plays we should see, what charities we should support, what pictures we should admire, what slang we should affect, what jokes we should laugh at?” ~ Edward Bernays, Propaganda
A
UTHORED BY Edward Bernays and published in 1928, the book Propaganda still holds its position as the gold standard for influencing and manipulating public behavior. Drawing on his expertise in psychology while using the language of manipulation, Bernays pioneered social engineering via mass media, and his work lives on in the distorted, statist, consumer world we have today. But who are the ones behind the curtain telling us what to think by directing our attention onto the things that serve their interests? Interestingly, chapter III of Propaganda is titled, ‘The New Propagandists’, and is devoted to explaining why the controls for mass manipulation are so closely guarded by a relatively tiny elite who sit in the shadows, out of the public eye, choosing what we are to see and to think, even controlling the politicians we elect to represent us. If we set out to make a list of the men and women who, because of their position in public life, might fairly be called the molders of public opinion we could quickly arrive at an extended list of persons mentioned in “Who’s Who…”
Page 19
According to the Father of Propaganda An Invisible Government Controls Our Minds With
A thought prison
Such a list would comprise several thousand persons. But it is well known that many of these leaders are themselves led, sometimes by persons whose names are known to few. Such persons typify in the public mind the type of ruler associated with the phrase invisible government. An invisible government of corporate titans and behind the scenes influencers whose mark on culture cannot be understated today. Bernays continues: The invisible government tends to be concentrated in the hands of the few because of the expense of manipulating the social machinery which controls the opinions and habits of the masses. The public relations counsel, then, is the agent who, working with modern media
communication and the group formation of society, brings an idea to the consciousness of the public. But he is a great deal more than that. He is concerned with courses of action, doctrines, systems and opinions, and the securing of public support for them. Ultimately, the goal of this type of mass-produced, popculture propaganda is to weaken the individual’s ability to think critically, thereby creating an environment where many people look to one another for approval, always secondguessing their own faculties. When this happens, the strength of the collective group begins to take form and multiply, and ideas can be implanted into the popular culture, taking root in the form of widespread conformist behavior. “Thinking critically means making reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out. It is a way of thinking in which one doesn’t simply accept all arguments and conclusions to which one is exposed without questioning the arguments and conclusions. It requires curiosity, skepticism and humility. People who use critical thinking are the ones
who say things such as, “How do you know that?” “Is this conclusion based on evidence or gut feelings?” and “Are there alternative possibilities when given new pieces of information?”” (http://www. wakingtimes.com/2016/12/01/edwardbernays-father-american-propaganda/)
Final Thoughts The takeaway here is that not much has changed in 100 years of corporate/ statist American culture, other than the technical capacity to scale this ever upward. Our lives are still heavily influenced by the likes of the described by Bernays. There is one advantage we do have now, however, as technology has given us greater access to the truth and we are now free to split from the matrix psychologically by understanding what it is and how it influences our lives. If we choose to do so, that is, if we choose to take the red pill. In order to understand your life and your mission here on earth in the short time you have, it is imperative to learn to see the thought prison that has been built around you, and to actively circumnavigate it. Free-thinking is being stamped out by the propagandists, but our human tendency is to crave freedom, and with the aid of truth, we are more powerful than the control matrix and the invisible government. ELL, THERE IS the money, of course. When millions of people forego expensive and toxic medical drugs; when they rarely see conventional doctors; when they don’t receive vaccinations and don’t have their children vaccinated; when they opt for natural remedies; when, worst of all, THEY STAY HEALTHY, this is a hammer blow to drug-based medicine. These “natural health” people are also going against The Plan, which is a cradle-tograve system, whereby humans are diagnosed with 30 or 40 diseases and disorders during their lifetime—requiring large amounts of toxic and debilitating drugs—and then they die. Note: The effects of the drugs are labeled “diseases,” which in turn are treated with more harmful drugs, resulting in new diagnoses of “diseases,” and so on. It’s a self-feeding, self-replicating parade of destruction. You can see the final stages in nursing homes, where the elderly are warehoused. On their night tables are a dozen or so drugs. The tragic end-game. This pathetic, vicious, pseudoscientific medical assault is praised to the skies, as “the best” in human care. On television, hired hands parade through show after show, insisting that modern medicine is the most brilliant program ever devised for the human race. At the same time, untold millions of people who opt for natural health expose, by their choices, this titanic lie. Here is how medical propaganda works, in the big picture. When delivered by competent caring personnel, acute crisis emergency care can produce remarkable
Modern Medicine’s Big Problem with Natural Health results. People who have been damaged in accidents, who develop sudden lifethreatening situations (unconnected to
medical drugs) can be put back together. However… Propagandists then parlay this specific success by pretending it applies over the whole field of medical practice, in every aspect. This assertion is absurd, false, and highly dangerous. The case of a person who is lying in the road after a car crash, and a person who is suffering from chronic immune-system weakness, are as far apart from each other as an ant in Idaho and a rocket on the moon. The propagandists’ job is to make these two people “the same.” They both need medical care, and medical care is wonderful. The big lie.
More and more people are waking up to this deception, and they are pursuing non-medical means to arrive at a better state of health and maintain it. The scale is tipping in the direction of natural health– herbs, nutritional supplements, proper food, exercise, clean water, “alternative” practitioners. Medical propaganda is on a long decline of failure. That problem is very worrying to the medical cartel. When you’ve had populations under your control for a long time, with the simplest kind of public relations; when you’ve been very sure your tactics were working; when you’ve blasted the same messages with the same rewarding results; you suffer from overconfidence. When your tactics don’t work anymore, you don’t know what to do. Your only option is trying to MANDATE medical treatment. You put populations in a box. You demand they obey. Now you’re heading toward a showdown. At what point will your prisoners decide they’ve had enough?

Here is a statement to shake up the princes of modern medicine: “The combined death rate from scarlet fever, diphtheria, whooping cough and measles among children up to fifteen shows that nearly 90 percent of the total decline in mortality between 1860 and 1965 had occurred before the introduction of antibiotics and widespread immunization. In part, this recession may be attributed to improved housing and to a decrease in the virulence of microorganisms, but by far the most important factor was a higher host-resistance due to better nutrition.” Ivan Illich, Medical Nemesis, Bantam Books, 1977 For decades, authors have been punching holes in medical myths. Their efforts have not gone in vain. Educated readers have been taking their findings to heart. The truth has been trickling up, down, and sideways in the culture. Remember, we are talking about people’s view of, and concern for, their own bodies. There is nothing abstract about this. The desire for knowledge is intimate. The empty word from on high, spouted by experts, can easily take a back seat. When the issue is pain and suffering vs. well-being, people will shrug off what they’re supposed to think and they will dig for answers. Here are several statements from a widely beloved American physician, Robert Mendelsohn. During his life, his views served to awaken readers all over the world:

HERE CAN BE major advantages to getting lost. Just ask Lovena and Ryan Harvey, owners of Gathering Place Trading Company, a family-owned company in BC. Fifteen years ago, they were travelling in South Africa, Ryan’s birthplace, in their vintage VW camper van. On an afternoon jaunt through the countryside, they got lost and ended up asking for directions at an organic Rooibos farm. At the time, the Harveys were organic farmers back in Canada, so this felt like an interesting coincidence. It soon turned into much more than that. The farmer invited them in, and the couple was treated to the best cup of tea they had ever tasted. Being tea connoisseurs, Lovena and Ryan were full of questions. What made this tea so different? They discovered that the farmers took the time to harvest their certified organic tea by hand, fermented it in small batches, and then sun dried it, resulting in a superior quality Rooibos. A friendship was formed that culminated in Lovena and Ryan deciding to try their hand at tea selling back in Canada. They proposed an unorthodox trade: a ton of tea for the VW camper van that their new South African friends had fallen in love with. The rest, as they say, is history. But first, the Harveys had to figure out how to actually transport a ton of tea across the ocean. Their decision to use ocean freight, rather than air, was in line with how they lived, as good stewards of the Earth. Over time, this has become one of their company’s pillars, one that easily distinguishes them from their competition. The company never ships by air, despite the convenience and ease this would undoubtedly allow. Lovena and Ryan set up shop on their Cortes Island homestead and opened for business with a single product - a
100g bag of loose Rooibos. They sold the tea at local Farmers’ Markets, and to restaurants and natural food stores in their area. “I basically pounded the pavement all the way up and down Vancouver Island,” says Lovena. “I went from one natural food store to the next, telling our story.” And people responded. From the get-go, it was this personal connection, plus their rock solid company values that attracted customers to Gathering Place products. In addition to their commitment to the environment, the Harveys also stand out for the way they live the term “family business.” Their three children have always been involved in the running of the company. “We bring our kids sourcing with us, we consult them in our decisions, and we rely on their opinions,” says Lovena. As their product line has grown to include certified organic spices, vanilla, coconut and more teas, as well as farmerdirect dried fruits and dried kalamata olives, their founding business decision— to direct source—remains unwavering. They favour certified organic farms, as their company gained certification three years ago, but do consider farms that grow organically but haven’t been able to afford certification. The company never sources from distributors, and goes to
great lengths to find just the right family or cooperative farmer to supply their products. This has meant travelling to South Africa and India, where the bulk of their products are grown. “When we meet with people face-to-face, we immediately get a vibe for the farm and the integrity of the operation,” says Lovena. “We look for strong environmental policies and an amazing product that is harvested carefully.” The Harveys also ensure that workers on-site are being treated and paid fairly. It was on one of these trips to India that Lovena and Ryan encountered the small-scale cooperative that would end up supplying their company with a whole new spice line. “That was a real turning point for us,” says Lovena. “Having a direct source for spices meant a much higher quality, fresher product, and customers really noticed.” Lovena explains that with other spice companies or with big grocery chains who use middle men, the spices often sit in the country of origin for more than a year, and upon import, might sit in a warehouse for another year. “By the time you buy your spice package, it could already be two years old,” she says. “Ours are always the current year’s harvest and are very
distinct and vibrant in colour.” When the time came to expand their spice line to include a greater array of culinary herbs, the Harveys had a chance to put another of their founding company values to work. “Right from the get-go, we made a decision to never import anything to Canada that would compete with Canadian farmers,” says Lovena. In this case, the company could have easily sourced cheap thyme from China or oregano from Turkey, but instead they turned to Canadian organic growers. After contacting dozens of small operations, they found a multi-generational, certified organic, family farm in Alberta who now grows their thyme, oregano, dill, sage and basil. Another small farm in Saskatchewan grows the brown and yellow mustard seeds that Gathering Place uses to create a beautiful mustard powder at their packaging facility in Campbell River. To bring the company values and story full circle, Lovena and Ryan actually grow the rosemary and bay leaves they sell to customers at their home on Cortes Island! “We’ve had incredible consumer response to these Canadian-grown herbs and spices,” Lovena says, noting their sales have doubled in the last year alone. From a ton of tea garnered through a trade to over 70 tons of product shipped annually, the Gathering Place takes their motto, “From Farmer to Family,” seriously. “We love knowing our farmers and wouldn’t have it any other way,” says Lovena. She and Ryan also love being able to trust the impeccability of their products for their own family and for all the other families who have come to trust the Gathering Place name. According to Lovena, the basis of all of their business decisions is simple. “We only bring in foods that we want to feed our family.” Full stop. HE TIMES…They Are Changing Medicine plants are not a magic pill that miraculously heal all wounding and trauma, even though they can be of assistance in revealing what needs to be healed and processed (and can also be beneficial when dealing with intense addiction issues). The deception – or rather, the misperception – my friend and I (and many others) have realized in respect to ‘plant therapy’ is similar to that which arises when one “intellectually” knows (or even “feels”) their issues, but has failed to work through them on an embodied level. My friend had an interesting insight about this point: looking back, she felt that, during her ayahuasca ceremonies, the wounds opened up and “projected” all of her “stuff” and shadow aspects into her awareness. That experience – combined with the euphoria/ bliss/ecstasy of getting “high” (based on the medicine/drug induced DMT rush) – can transmit the idea that a deep healing has occurred…a perception that can last for weeks or even months. Hence, many people keep going back to work with medicine plants when they feel “stuff” resurfacing, in order to have that “peak” experience again and again. This article – Whoring the Goddess – Ayahuasca takes her revenge – also offers some valuable insight into the repercussions associated with the abusive/ addictive “miasma” that has increasinglycoated the vibrational field of ayahuasca. Some people also tend to “pride” themselves on having “completed” 30, 50, 80 or more ayahuasca ceremonies. That’s almost an “insane” level of dependence, and it ties into the “spiritual bypassing” phenomenon: getting hooked on the experience while lying to themselves about why they keep taking it (and what they are taking on-board energetically as a result). A curanderos I worked with said that if you do it right – with the right preparation (which is not just diet-connected, but also relates to having done a good amount of sincere selfwork as a foundation), the right context and setting, and the right follow-up to integrate it all (not just days, but months and even years) – you only “need” a few ceremonies, one or two at most. He also said that in recent times there has been a “reversal” in the medicine dynamic – it has turned from people using the plants to “the plants using them”, creating a very unhelpful co-dependency. I want to stress that, while there may be an opportunity to use these plants consciously as an opening – a “tool”, and only a few times at that – and then continue to do the work without them, it’s also the case that taking medicine plants is not at all necessary (in general) on the path towards awakening and wholeness. Also, traditionally speaking, even before the custom was corrupted by mass consumption trends (to say nothing of the fact that many people don’t even question the traditions themselves, which ties into the trap of blindly romanticizing indigenous cultures), not everyone was allowed to participate in ceremony with only a few people attending. Participating with a group of more than 10 people is already troublesome (based upon my experiences), let alone 60 or 100. A
The Plant Medicine Manipulation, Part 2
good friend of mine who was a medicine woman (she passed away a few years ago) shared with me an experience she had when she was assisting a well known shaman (who owns an ayahuasca center) in the Sacred Valley of Peru during an ayahuasca ceremony with about 30 participants. The “shaman” was just sitting there, singing his songs and playing guitar – in the meantime, people were heavily processing. My friend was very sensitive to energies, and also possessed clairvoyant abilities; while people were purging, moaning and screaming, she saw one dark shadow/ entity coming out of one individual and jumping right into the person next to them, finding a new host/vehicle to ‘infect’. The shaman was not aware of this phenomenon at all, and didn’t give anyone a single minute of personal attention. Such indifferent displays are not an uncommon occurrence, especially in large group settings where people don’t know each other (including the shaman), having only just met right before the ceremony. In such reckless circumstances, you never know what you open yourself up to, and how the collective energies will intermingle in a large group setting like that. In the past one needed to earn the “right” to participate – an initiation in and of itself – and it was also always clear to the community that it was not for everyone. The ceremonies were limited to members of the community/ tribe who not only already knew each other but even grew up together. In many cases, these plants were restricted to the medicine men/women only, or were used strictly for dealing with extreme cases of disease/entrapment. To add to the insanity and corruption of modernday manipulations, ‘shamans’ now offer
Ayahuasca and Huachauma – and other psycho-active plants (or toad-extracted compounds) – back to back, with maybe just a one day ‘break’ in between each sitting, if at all. Mixing psychoactive plant spirits like that is a big no-no, which any true shaman knows about. But as Fred has witnessed as a born-and-raised Peruvian, nowadays you have these medicine plant retreats that are like ‘psychedelic candy stores’, where the ‘spirits’ are passed around without discernment to anyone who joins… especially because they know that ‘gringos’ like the visual ‘fireworks’. “Psychedelic substances like ayahuasca create a state of hypersuggestibility in which persons are very open to being influenced by others. Many traditional cultures have utilized this condition to inculcate cultural values and behaviors in young people as they receive initiation into adulthood. In the West, countercultural values can be inculcated in young people when using these psychedelics, especially when using them in an antinomian [spiritually-released from the obligation of observing moral laws] context.” – Marlene Dobkin de Rios The Neo-Shamanism PsyOp that is dominant today has distorted what Shamanism is truly about, mutating the tradition into a hyped attraction where all you have to pay is some money to have THE spiritual experience. The sales pitch – that these plants are the best route for achieving a so-called ‘accessing of higher realities’ – also tends to distract people from what deeper spiritual and esoteric work is all about, and even gives one the illusion that partaking in the brew means that one has “awoken”. It relates to being distracted by the ‘mysticism of phenomena’: “It is possible to obtain so-called esoteric results that are impure, but they are false and thus transitory. Here we refer to the vast realm of occultism, where the children of this century, more capable than the children of light, seek to apply their abilities beyond the visible world. This occurs in what we call ‘mysticism of phenomena‘. It is curious to see how much these false prophets, magicians and ‘christs’ impressed themselves on the imagination of the men and even more of the women of the past. It is the same today. For there is a type of human being who declines all moral responsibility for himself or for those to whom he is in duty bound. One comes across this type quite often, always trying to find someone else to shoulder his responsibilities as long as this someone
else possesses some kind of authority, earned or otherwise. These people are open to any form of hypnotic suggestion and practically ask to be hypnotized. They are of good faith, but they search for the ‘marvelous’ because they are too weak or too lazy to undertake esoteric work successfully. And the ‘wolves’ devour them finding justification in the fact that they are only the ‘scourings of humanity.’ But this is not true; for ‘scourings’ who are converted can become key figures on the esoteric chess-board. Mental apathy and emotional inertia are responsible for tipping man down the slope of least resistance even when armed with the best intentions, especially if he justifies himself for his human frailties by finding them normal, particularly on the sexual plane.” – Boris Mouravieff, Gnosis Many people don’t know that psychedelic medicine plants were not always a part of many ancient shamanic practices, but were introduced at later stages of a culture’s history; nowadays, shamanism seems to be automatically equated with ayahuasca/medicine plants, which is by design: “The phenomenology of the trance underwent many changes and corruptions, due in large part to confusion as to the precise nature of ecstasy. Concerning the original shamanic experience, narcotics are only a vulgar substitute for “pure” trance. The use of intoxicants is a recent innovation and points to a decadence in shamanic technique. Narcotic intoxication is called on to provide an imitation of a state that the shaman is no longer capable of attaining otherwise. Decadence or vulgarization of a mystical technique – in ancient and modern India, and indeed all through the East, we constantly find this strange mixture of “difficult ways” and “easy ways” of realizing mystical ecstasy or some other decisive experience.” – Mircea Eliade, Shamanism: Archaic Techniques of Ecstasy The hype surrounding plant medicine tourism these days also shows itself whenever I mention to someone that I host retreats in Peru (without mentioning anything about ceremonies). Literally every single time, without exception, the person replies with “Ah, ayahuasca!”. I then have to explain to that person that our work is not focused on medicine plants, nor do we work with ayahuasca itself. Another reason we stopped working with huachuma is because we don’t want to attract people who just sign up because they “always wanted to go to Peru to participate in a medicine ceremony” (I lost count of how often I received this kind of message). That’s not what our work is about….. even with the Huachuma ceremony as part of the program, it was just one day out of nine in total, and we made it clear that it was not the main purpose of the work we do. I also see more and more retreat promoters offering medicine plants as part of a ‘marketing strategy’ to take advantage of the ‘peak experience’ popularity/hype and attract more participants. This is especially the case in

to Healing in general. There’s plenty of “illness” to go around these days too, if we also include psychology, trauma (PTSD), addiction and depression. But there’s no time or financial resources spent on Healing. There’s always a pill and an “instant gratification” solution so that you can buck up and get back to work, or jump through hoops to maintain an economic solution when one is unable to “earn a living”. There’s a great documentary called “Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare” which is a must-see if one is questioning the state of Healthcare in the U.S. (or comparable economies). To learn more, visit the Escape Fire website, watch the movie trailer, or support the film-makers and pick up a copy on DVD.
The War Machine
The war machine is what the “elite” agenda relies upon to keep the populace in fear and terror, while keeping them in control of finance and resources. There is no Love in war and no one ever “wins”, as is evident by the “war weariness” that has captured the Hearts and minds of the masses. Yet, we find ourselves on the edge of our seats waiting for the next excuse to invade a country rich in resources, or another who is considering putting an end to the fiat dollar in the best interests of Humanity.
An Era of Corporate Rule
There was a very important Supreme Court decision in the Hobby Lobby case that will give more “proof” that the agenda of modern government is one-sided; Corporations, by law, have the same rights as Individuals. This means that we have a Government that is for The Corporate, and not a Government that is Of The People, By The People, and For The People as stated in the Constitution — which therefore violates our Constitutional Right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Meanwhile, our Senators and Congress people argue over Corporate interests. And this was also in our face lately, in regards to the recent Supreme Court decision McCutcheon v. FEC. Quoted fromMoveToAmend.org:
On January 21, 2010, with its ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, the Supreme Court ruled that corporations are persons, entitled by the U.S. Constitution to buy elections and run our government. Human beings are people; corporations are legal fictions. We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United and other related cases, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights. The Supreme Court is misguided in principle, and wrong on the law. In a democracy, the people rule.
WE MOVE TO AMEND. Click here (http://movetoamend. nationbuilder.com/petition) to sign the ‘Move To Amend’ Petition. This is important because, in the words of Supreme Court Justice Stevens (January 2010)… … corporations have no consciences, no beliefs, no feelings, no thoughts, no desires. Corporations help structure and facilitate the activities of human beings, to be sure, and their ‘personhood’ often serves as a useful legal fiction. But they are not themselves members of “We the People” by whom and for whom our Constitution was established. Page 23
The Role of Organized Religion Christianity and other “religions” teach us that there is a judgmental “God” who sacrificed his son in order to save us from our “sins”. This is unhealthy and another way we give our energy away to those we perceive as being “above” us in some way, and perceive our humanity to be inherently “sinful”. It teaches us that we/they can do whatever we want to each other and the planet (sin) without consequence, when the Universal Law of Polarity states that there is Cause and Effect to everything. The true teachings of Jesus speak of the Power we have by way of the Law of Attraction to Create our reality — and this is what we do everyday by continuing to sell our Soul to a select few while our children are dying in war, famine, emotional trauma and poverty. There is no judgment or condition in the Real emotion of Love and it is Christ Consciousness that must return to us from withIN, in taking back the Power we have chosen to give away by “default”. There is no “messiah” rather there is “us” and we are the ones we have been waiting for. It takes a great deal of Faith to decide to no longer support the flawed system of limitation (including religion) that we have allowed to rule us in an Infinite, Intelligent, Loving, Abundant Universe.
As Above, So Below …
The Law of Correspondence (Immutable): The second of the seven Universal Laws tells us “As above, so below; as below, so above” ~ Tania Kotsos This means that there is “harmony, agreement and correspondence” between the physical, mental and spiritual realms. There is no separation since everything in the Universe, including you, originates from the One Source. The same pattern is expressed on all planes of existence from the smallest electron to the largest star and vice versa. All is One. The Ancient Greek Temple of Apollo at Delphi refers to this great Law of Correspondence in the inscription “Know thyself and thou shalt know all the mysteries of the gods and the Universe”. This means that what we inflict on others by way of our limited perspective of what we are “told” vs. the Truth it is the same as hurting ourselves because we are all Connected. As above, so below. The Truth is that we can no longer excuse ourselves with denial in order to leave behind a Legacy for our children that includes a planet in which to live on. We have to begin to make our government, financial system, big pharma, and corporations accountable for their actions; by not doing so we are enabling our own demise, much like an insecure victim, enabling our addiction to this incredibly flawed perception of “Freedom”, which actually teaches reliance instead.
Unity and Oneness
Working with others involving emotional trauma, it recently occurred to me that it is much more difficult to
Heal the hurt of misunderstanding the misuse of energy and the power we have given away on a personal level. But it is possible. Each individual is different but our experiences speak of Unity and ONEness. If we can Awaken ourselves to the societal issues without throwing our hands up in denial and powerlessness, we can begin to find our Spirituality again through this Freedom. If we can embrace our Power as “the masses” we can begin to support a New system of Free Energy and responsible governance, especially when it comes to financing the few. In an Infinitely supportive Universe, we can begin to Live and Thrive through the Healing of the planet and the “trauma” we have endured together while we were “sleeping”. We can shed our selfmanufactured image of perfection in order to work through the process of RE-building something that is in favor of the 99% of US, the Human Race. A supportive “God” (Universe) is a LOVING force of energy that wants what WE want and will support us in Limitless ways.
I believe that Free Energy Technology is the first of many waves of our “liberation” and it’s now being distributed freely via the Internet and social media. From here, there will be no more stealing of energy via fossil fuels, war, money mongering, and keeping the masses in fear. When we realize that our energy has been Free all along, we will see that the most important things are also Free, like a Loving Universe and the Human Connection of ONEness. It starts with each and every ONE of us by RE-focusing OUR energy on more and more productive ways to shift our reality to ONE that is for the Greater Good of Planet Earth=Heart and her Creatively Intelligent children, the Human Race. UMAN INGENUITY HAS created wondrous developments - from fires to evolving an extraordinary complex social structure, splitting atoms, reaching to the moon, mapping the human genome, evolving the most complex repertoire of communication connecting us all, as well as creating a “dangerous” world of wireless radiation, with all its consequences! Man has taken apart and put together everything he could lay his hands upon or think about it. These are exciting times! We are today living in an age of unprecedented technology. Internet, electronic mail and jet-set speed travel have conveniently helped bridge the geographical distances. The challenge before us is to link the wisdom of our past with our current knowledge and advanced technology to find ecologically sound solutions to emerging global situations, such as our effect on the climate, environmental pollutions, etc. Man has dominated and tried to control practically everything around him. Unfortunately, in exploring nature and his power over it, he has unleashed forces and substances, which have gone out of control! Poisonous pesticides are powerful weapons, though unjust and immoral towards the rest of the living world. Hazardous, dangerous chemicals (one of the worst is glyphosate) are found in our water, air (chemtrails), soil and food and drinks (MSG, etc.). They are present in household and garden goods, plastics, prescription drugs, cosmetics and personal care products. Another danger is electric magnetic radiation from many sources (EMF towers, cell & smart phone and smart meters, microwave ovens etc., just to name a few!) These toxic chemicals damage our body, brain, behaviour and sexual health. We humans, disconnected from Mother Earth for our whole lives, are depleted of the health-sustaining energy (electrons) from the earth, have forgotten that we are part of our World, and as a result are suffering from it with a large variety of health problems. It is no coincidence that for myself, growingup country-style in Northern Germany, and walking barefoot all summer long, I had hardly any health problems. By eating healthy food and reconnecting with the earth our bodies respond with improved health. Worldwide people want to go back to basics and hopefully we will re-evolve in the near future into a “grounded” society. “Earthing” is not a cure-all, but

Peru – the plant craze is rampant all across the country, and it’s not a pretty picture, particularly in the ‘Sacred Valley’. Is there any hope to get things under control again? Scientists and researchers believe that the miraculously versatile medicinal plant from India, the Neem tree (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) could be one of the solutions to solving our many problems and even to save our Mother Earth! As the global scenario is now changing towards the use of non-toxic, plant-derived botanical products based on traditional use, development of modern products derived from Neem are now in place for the control of various diseases and the betterment of mankind. Since the tree has a unique source of various types of healing compounds it offers tremendous potential. Everything from the Neem tree is medicinal: bark cake, flowers, fruit, honey, leaves, oil, roots, timber and twigs. Neem is also extremely beneficial whereas environmental pollution is concerned, offering flood control, reducing erosion and salination, rehabilitating degraded ecosystems and wastelands. Neem is useful for reforestation, and windbreaks in areas of low rainfall and high wind speed; it protects crops and organic farming, provides non-toxic herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, pesticides and fertilizer. Neem is also being used in veterinarian medicine, dental care, cosmetics and personal care products, birth control, and prevents a variety of internal and external diseases. India, produced one of the sickest social orders ever created by mankind, in which thinking men spent their time lost in the Buddha position under the influence of drugs exploring consciousness, while poverty, disease, social discrimination, and superstition reached their highest and most organised form in all history.”– Professor David McClelland My decision to discontinue any association with sobriety-obliterating
Several therapeutic and industrially useful preparations and compounds have been marketed worldwide. This created enough encouragement among scientists to further explore this remarkable plant. The Neem tree is also one of the most researched trees in the world, and over two decades of research has resulted in more than 2500 scientific papers published, promising interesting results in so many disciplines
that this once obscure species may be of enormous benefit to countries rich and poor, and eventually to each person alive today. Even some of the most cautious researchers are now saying that Neem deserves to be called a “wonder tree.” The
plants/psychedelics is a reflection of my inner embodiment process. As mentioned previously, I’ve realized that using them has become not only an obstacle to the awaking process involved in soul individualization, but it’s also a liability (on numerous other levels) that I refuse to expose myself to anymore. Nor does this entire ‘frequency’ of plant ceremonies feel in alignment with the facilitating work that Fred and I do – we’ve reached an intuitive ‘acceptance’

N THIS, THE second in our series on the tragic death of Ezekiel Stephan, we look at the media’s part in creating a storm of inaccuracies, innuendo, blatant lies and propaganda. These have continued to assault his courageous parents who will not be intimidated into silence. According to all available information, it is not known what exactly Ezekiel died of. There are several possibilities but “bacterial meningitis” is not one of them. This is a fact: Ezekiel did not die of “bacterial meningitis” and there is zero evidence of “bacterial meningitis”. And yet, all journalists reporting on the trial and story had the following fallacious headlines and content. Bill Graveland, reports in the Star, and I quote, “Supreme Court sets tentative Hearing Date for parents of Alberta Toddler in Meningitis death” and he goes on in his article stating they, “…...failed to seek medical attention for their son who died of bacterial meningitis.” In fact, David and Colett did seek the advice of a professional, a nurse with several years of hospital emergency department experience. She told them after examining Ezekiel that he would be sent home from emergency, as he does not present concerning symptoms, thus the decision to wait and keep an eye on him. Bill Graveland lied twice to the public in one article. Why? And why is bacterial meningitis being pushed as a cause of death by the media? And why didn’t Bill or any of the other reporters even attempt to interview Ezekiel’s parents. This journalist is important to this story because his opinion and writing is prolific as representing Canada’s National News Agency - The Canadian Press. In their own words, “Whether Canadians are getting their news online, on air or in print, The Canadian Press is often the source – Our content is trusted and regularly used “as is” by the hundreds of websites, digital signage screens, radio and TV stations, newspapers and magazines we serve.” My concern is exactly as they describe themselves – their content is “regularly used as is”, “trusted” and they have their tentacles everywhere; online, on air and in print. In other words, they control most of what you are reading, hearing and watching. Every point of view is their point of view. This is the most dangerous symptom of a fascist state. Would you ever have thought, in your wildest nightmare, that Canada could become a fascist state? Think again, because if we don’t wake up it soon will be. Just as sure as good parents can be thrown into prison for not having better judgement than a trained medical practitioner in dealing with their child’s illness, you can find yourself helpless in a fascist run Canada. Fascism is about mass population control and so is mass media manipulation. Bill Graveland posing again for Huff Post states “Naturopathy is Like a Religion: Experts Discuss Distrust of Science, Authority”. Questioning authority has become a crime in Canada. Our school system indoctrinates children with respect for a particular kind of authority – that is government approved, corporate, regulated, permitted and certified. The problem is that progress in society is linked to questioning authority, finding and fixing flaws, progressing to more modern views, and growing into more effective systems. This is progress. This is
Page 26
Media’s Collusion in the Storm: The Ezekiel Stephan Story, pt. 2
David Stephan good for society. Worshipping authority is an unhealthy, stagnant ideology that needs to die. When I think of worshipping authority I think of North Korea and Kim Jun Un. Again in Huff Post, Bill Graveland states of David and Colett that they are “convicted of failing to get proper medical treatment for their son who died of bacterial meningitis…”, yet again perpetuating the lie. A little further this journalist says of the couple, that it “… could turn them into martyrs for the Alternative Medicine and Anti-vaccination movement.” Herein lies the true purpose of the character assassination of David Stephan and the mineral supplements he represents and sells to make a living. They fear the success of the Truehope minerals and supplements company. Why would they fear a small but fast growing company like Truehope? Possibly because their success is based on sound research. Maybe because the mental disorders that are found to be remedied by the addition of Truehope vitamins and minerals to the diet, no longer require psychotropic drugs for management; a direct threat to a multibillion dollar industry. Think of the profits lost on products Big Pharma supplies to people with depression, bi-polar disorder, ADD, ADHD. These are just some of the conditions that the mineral supplements have thwarted – careful here, we cannot say cured. The problem with Big Pharma is that cures are bad for business and so they are in the profitable business of illness management instead. If the prescribed drugs are not working, they’ll spend your lifetime switching from one to another and yet another to find one that will work for you, because they care. They care about emptying your wallet before they kill you with the unintended side effects. There are statistics out there that say death by prescribed pharmaceuticals is one of the top three causes of death in North America. Some say it’s cause number one, but I don’t want to appear too biased for fear I’ll be labelled a “conspiracy theorist”. Well, here we can clearly see
the agenda which supports the Pharmaceutical Industry being pushed and the Natural Healing Industry being slimed along with the “movement” against unsafe vaccines. I emphasize unsafe vaccines because if they were safe to begin with, there would not be a “movement” against them, nor would there be a private vaccine court paying out billions in damage compensation in exchange for non-disclosure agreements. So this was a double-header of sorts for Graveland and those he presstitutes for. Hit the anti-vaxxers and the alternative medicine fields at once, and at the same time erode respect for these parents on a very personal level so that the population at large believes they deserve to be punished and thus won’t look closely at the actual evidence nor pay attention to the real details of the court case. The art of distraction is the specialty of mass media. Again in the Huff Post, Kayla Greaves, yet another presstitute, claims Ezekiel “died of meningitis, after his parents treated him with natural remedies such as hot peppers, garlic, onions and horseradish” implying some ridiculous causation of death by garlic and horseradish. Meghan Grant, presstitute for our very own trusted CBC writes that David and Colett treated Ezekiel “with hot peppers, garlic, onions and horse radish before he died of bacterial meningitis.” There’s the bacterial meningitis theme again. Again the ridicule of the parents who were apparently mercilessly shovelling garlic, hot peppers, horseradish and onions down their child’s throat. Cause of death: garlic and onions. As the saying goes, you can’t make this ‘stuff’ up. The shaming of the parents is over the top. Again, Meghan Grant, slants public opinion of the Stephans with this headline for CBC news: “…David Stephan posts tirade after conviction upheld in his son’s meningitis death.” So a legitimate objection is now called a “tirade”. Really? So what do we really have here? We have a variety of media sources, in all corners of the country, which spout exactly the same message, over and over again. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat it again. That’s how we brainwash the public. Choose the words carefully to insult, belittle and assassinate character, then repeat. Using scientifically crafted techniques of manipulation, these media outlets are the conduit being used to influence public opinion and forward an agenda that removes parental authority, and allows the government to determine what is best for your child. Make no mistake here, if the powers that be can destroy Colett and David Stephan, two kind, caring and well informed parents (not the nut jobs they would have you believe) and send them to prison, then you bet they can come after you next. Imagine going to prison because you choose not to vaccinate your child. Imagine if you cannot choose natural herbal medicine over allopathic medicine. Imagine if you cannot choose cannabis treatment over chemotherapy. Imagine if
you actually exercised your God given right to free will and were punished for it. Or do you now believe that we have “privileges” and not “rights”? Imagine if in the process of their oblivious pursuit of justice, they destroy your ability to make a living and assassinate your character. This is the experience David, Colett and their family have endured for several years now. But add to this the loss of a child they adored and cherished and were never given the respect of peace to go through the grieving process. The assault has been relentless since the hour of his death to the present. It is critical to become critical of those who tell us these stories, because although journalism is really just “the business and practice of writing newspapers” and a journalist is just “a person hired to write for a news agency”, we have always assumed their integrity in the past. Remember the days of award winning journalism? Remember the journalists who broke the stories that changed the course of history? I realize that’s a long time ago. We call that “fake news” now. Journalism should be the watchdog of our government, courts, and medical system. But it isn’t. It has become the long-arm of propaganda. The climax of this critique is the primo ‘presstitute’ who takes it beyond the pale with extremely damaging fake news; Andre Picard, writing for the pimps of propaganda themselves, the Globe and Mail. Andre does a true hatchet job on David Stephan’s career with a very personal and libellous attack which includes innuendo, pushing the same narrative and filling in the rest with lies that do damage to a reputation built on years of well-deserved respect and trust. In the Globe headline he pompously touts this “Belief in powers of ‘Wellness’ shouldn’t extend to Man convicted in son’s meningitis death”. He further lashes out with “There are no words to express how sick this is”, referring to David’s speaking engagements on a wellness tour. (Notably then cancelled as a result of this bad publicity for major sponsors who then threatened to back out if David presented.) He furthers his libellous ‘tirade’ with the fallacious remark “…whose son died of swelling of the brain because of his negligence has the effrontery to lecture others on brain health”. Well Andre Picard, regarding your article and in your own words, “hubris and self-delusion knows no bounds”, and I find it quite “astounding some people believe this drivel” presented in the Globe as fact. Anyone who has any real experience with prescription drugs for the treatment of depression, anxiety or a myriad of other mental “disorders” knows that they have very limited effectiveness when they work, and that, for the most part, they are a disastrous long term hazard for most people, especially when they are prescribed to children and young adults. The “claim” that minerals and vitamins are effectively curing many conditions, is actually true in spite of Picard’s ridicule. Compared to prescription drugs they are vastly less expensive, both in the short term, and especially in the long term, where the common side effects of pharmaceutical drugs always seem to require further medications ad infinitum. The benefits of minerals and vitamins over allopathic prescriptions are almost always a best first choice. It is

MONG THE VARIOUS buzzwords often heard in the alternative health world is the term “alkaline water”. Studies abound showing that we are all too acidic today and that this potentially dangerous acidic state of the body is a common precursor to many chronic illnesses. Arising along this surge of information, we also By Glennis see a growing variety of Taylor alkaline water products in the marketplace. These days bottled alkaline water and alkaline producing water systems are commonly available for home use as well as for commercial purposes. Natural alkaline water as found in nature is, for example, water that comes down a mountainside moving through rocks and mineral rich landscape. As it journeys over the rocks, it picks up minerals from the rocks and soil and becomes more alkaline as it meanders seaward. How is it possible to recreate this perfection that nature gives us so generously? Interestingly, upon investigation of that very topic it seems that purchasing true alkaline water is just not that simple an affair, as there are different methods of producing what is termed alkaline water. And in fact there are parameters that we must look at to make sure we are getting water that actually promotes true wellness and that actually alkalizes. To clarify the confusion around alkaline water and what we should be more aware of when using such water as a part of a healthy lifestyle, I spoke with Amir Shaani (Certified Water Specialist) of Puretek from Vancouver who represents the cutting edge alkaline water purification system, AQUAVITA™. Amir, with his fifteen years of
AQUAVITA extensive experience in the area of water familiar water ionizer machines that use treatment, explained the importance of electrolysis, and that obviously require several factors that can make water most electricity. Yet here is a large health benefits. misunderstanding with the term alkaline Water should be purified and alkaline water. Water with simply a high pH is not according to Amir, but it ideally also needs to necessarily “alkaline” and can possibly have antioxidant properties as well as to be neutralize the tissues it contacts directly, micro-clustered and have such as the mouth, enough active molecular the stomach and small hydrogen to give the body intestine to some extent, optimum hydration. free radical damage to all our cells. Free radicals are formed by the body’s own metabolic processes as well as being introduced environmentally and by our lifestyle choices. If we can reduce free radical damage we can help retard the aging process and improve our health tremendously. Micro-clustering is another interesting piece of the puzzle. Often times when we drink a lot of water, we either feel bloated or end up running off to relieve ourselves. When water is truly alkalizing and made into smaller clusters as happens with the AQUAVITA System, the water is absorbed far better by the body, cleansing and detoxifying is happening for the same reason. We become more hydrated rather than just passing the volumes we drink right through us. We may drink lots of water but still remain poorly hydrated, and the body relies on water for all its systems to work properly. Our own electrical system, which regulates heart rhythm for example, must have water to allow electrolytes and nutrients to perform their life giving functions. Amir refers to studies on different conditions such as cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, blood circulation and the very common complaint of fatigue that all respond positively to the ingestion of AQUAVITA, with its cutting-edge technology, provides a cost effective purified alkalizing water that may just be the key to addressing the many health issues that become a concern as we age, and for the younger generations that face even more health assaults so early in life. Really there isn’t anyone that wouldn’t benefit from powerful, cleansing and energizing water. If we can change our habits and health one sip at a time, we can certainly make a big difference in the overall quality of our lives. Little by little a little becomes a lot. Going back to the basics is a big part of the answer. Good water is a great start and an essential elPresently, in our New Agora Vancouver offices, the AQUAVITA system is powering and cleansing, energizing and alkalizing the very words you’re reading. “Modern Medicine would rather you die using its remedies than live by using what physicians call quackery.” “Almost half of the 100,000 or so surgeons we actually do have right now are superfluous. Those 50,000 or so extra unsheathed scalpels do a lot of damage.” “The greatest threat of childhood diseases lies in the dangerous and ineffectual efforts made to prevent them through mass immunization…There is no convincing scientific evidence that mass inoculations can be credited with eliminating any childhood disease.” “When I was Senior Pediatric Consultant to the Department of Mental Health in Illinois, I cut out a certain kind of operation that was being performed on mongoloid children with heart defects. The stated purpose of the operation was to improve oxygen supply to the brain. The real purpose, of course, was to improve the state’s residency programs in cardiovascular surgery [by training new surgeons], because nothing beneficial happened to the brains of mongoloid children—and the surgeons knew that. The whole idea was absurd. And deadly, since the operation had a fairly high mortality rate. Naturally, the university people were very upset when I cut out the operation. They couldn’t figure out a better use for the mongoloid children, and, besides, it was important to train people. In prepaid group practices where surgeons are paid a steady salary not tied to how many operations they Page 27

The present level is around twenty-five percent. There are no investigations at all. And in some hospitals the rate is pushing fifty percent.” “Today your child has about as much chance of contracting diphtheria as he does of being bitten by a cobra.” [In the DPT vaccine, the “D” stands for diphtheria.] Mendelsohn, Ivan Illich, and many other rebel authors have cut across the full range of medical propaganda. They’ve raised red flags on every front. You can’t overestimate the effect they’ve had. In private meetings, medical cartel front men complain, “The people aren’t listening to us!” They’re right. That’s what happens when gross lies and deceptions are spread out across the planet. You can diagnose and damage some of the people some of the time, but you can’t damage all the people all the time.

What Happens to Our Brains When We Experience Complete Silence? “Silence is the perfectest herault of joy. I were but little happy if I could say how much.” – Shakespeare
Christina Sarich

T
HE WORD NOISE comes from a Latin root word meaning, “pain,” or “distress.” Noise is something we’ve become accustomed to, even if we are keenly aware of its ability to cause multiple forms of anguish. Even if we live in “decibel hell,” we can find moments of silence to reduce our pain. We can intuitively observe that silence, in contrast, reboots our ability to think straight, and offers us a profound feeling of peace. Silence also allows us to get to know our deepest truths in an undeniable way. It is in complete silence that the thoughts we shelter from others come to the surface. But what else happens to us when we take a break from the deafening sounds of modern life? Aside from the metaphysical benefits of sitting in silence, there are staggering physiological changes that take place throughout the body: notably in the brain. Scientists have studied the effects of silence on the brain for several decades, but a few studies are paramount in their importance if we are to understand just how vital silence is for a human being.
Silence Develops New Brain Cells One study, published in the journal, Brain, Structure, and Function observed mice under the influence of noise and silence. The way the study was structured, silence was expected to be the control (identifiable or observable fact meant to minimize the effects of independent variables in a study). However, mice exposed to two hours of complete silence daily developed a peculiar side effect – they started to develop brand new cells in the hippocampus of the brain, the area which is associated with learning new things, retaining memory, and processing emotion. Though new brain cells don’t always directly translate into better health, one of the researchers, Imke Kirste, says that these new cells appeared to become functioning neurons. “We saw that silence is really helping the new generated cells to differentiate into neurons and integrate into the system.”
Silence Heightens Sensitivity And Empathy There are many brain areas associated with emotional sensitivity and empathy. Particularly, the right supramarginal gyrus, is an imperative brain region for the development of these traits. If this brain region doesn’t function properly on a regular basis — or when we need to make particularly quick decisions — our ability to execute empathy is dramatically reduced. When we spend time in silence, this area of our brains, along with others which support empathy, are allowed to rest and reactivate, building higher levels of empathic experience. Page 29
Silence Fights Insomnia One study, published in JAMA measured the effects of silence on sleep. Though it was used to test mindfulness meditation, the essence of the meditation is to observe the thoughts, silently. Those who spent just twenty minutes practicing “silence” had a measured increase in sound sleep and no longer suffered from insomnia.

The Brain Evaluates And Internalizes Information “You throw thorns, in my silence they become flowers.” – Gautama Buddha Another important study has found that the brain processes information very differently when we allow it to be in silence. When the brain is at rest, meaning, it is not exposed to new stimuli via sound, it can take both internal information (learned things) and integrate them more seamlessly with external information. In other words, instead of reacting to external stimuli, including things that would normally trigger us to behave in a less-than-conscious way, we can quickly determine how to integrate experiences with people, circumstances, and more. Although we can’t impose a quiet environment in our own minds, and always calm our personal thoughts, it seems that a quiet external environment allows the famous “gap” in our thinking which Daoists, Buddhists, and others have hinted at. This gap is a split second of calm that allows us to choose our reaction to the world, instead of acting out old habits. As Nietzsche once said, “Silence is worse, all truths that are kept silent become poisonous.” What better way to see the world as it truly is, and not as we’ve erroneously imagined it, then by getting a daily dose of silence?

Silence Releases Tension From the Body and Brain Even two minutes of silence can release built up tension in the brain and the body. ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/ pmc/articles/PMC1860846/) Multiple studies that measured changes in heart rate, respiratory rates, carbon dioxide levels, cerebral-artery flow, and other concrete physical changes, found that just a few moments of silence change how our bodies respond to the world. Preliminary studies even indicate that silence can help us to overcome childhood trauma, PTSD, and other serious conditions of the heart and mind. The amygdala — associated with memory formation and emotion — is activated when we hear “noise” leading to the release of stress hormones. Conversely, silence activates the release of oxytocin, GABA, and serotonin – all hormones that reduce stress. In closing… Silence is much more important to our brains than we’ve previously thought. All profound internal progress – our a-ha moments – are preceded by silence.

take on heroic tasks. Most amazingly of all, it opens the doors into other archetypes. As Maya Angelou surmised, “Without courage you can’t practice any other virtue consistently.” Or practice getting your shit together, for that matter. Armed with the courage gained from cultivating the hero archetype, we become motivated to take more leaps of courage. The Shadow is the next logical step. When we walk through the doorway of the Shadow, we discover a major part of our inner state. It is a culmination of our deepest fears, shames, regrets, and judgments, but it’s also the source of our greatest power, our hidden beauty, and our sacred self. Where the hero teaches us courage, and the old wise man/woman teaches us wisdom, and the trickster teaches us humor, the shadow teaches us how to be fierce. Fierceness is vital for getting our shit together. One of the most powerful actions we can take to intervene in a stormy world is to face our own storm. This is the power of utilizing the shadow archetype as a tool toward getting our shit together. It takes account of all our personal shit –inside and out. The full extent of the shit-storm of our

the responsible first route to take for any parent and should be the first recommended route from a medical professional. It seems that in our current medical paradigm “the goal of extracting money from people’s pockets” to use Picard’s words, is the real focus of modern medicine. It comes down to management overriding cure. There is actually documented research now available proving that many prescribed psychotropic drugs cause brain damage where there was no brain disease to begin with, only a, so called, disorder. We, the people, need to wake up and realize that journalists like Graveland, Grant, Drinkwater and Picard are simply pushing propaganda for the government
Page 30
life gets put into proper perspective, and we’re better able to manage it. Once we’ve somewhat managed our own shit, and gained the courage to rummage through it, we can take the next step into the other archetypes. There are so many to choose from, and almost or the corporatocracy that drives it. And yes, we are fast approaching a fascist-like state here in Canada. Mass media has become a dangerous weapon for those with the money to wield it. There are very few owners in the media business. Apart from a limited number of community broadcasters, media in Canada is primarily owned by a small number of companies: Bell, Corus, Rogers, Newcap, Quebecor and the government-owned Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Over the years there have been countless mergers, takeovers and buyouts simply to eradicate competition. Though the motive is likely profits for the corporations, minus any ethical considerations, the danger is that information is coming from very few sources, with corporate controlled, and therefore profit driven, opinions. If the corporations who own the media also happen to have ties to Big Pharma, and
anything we can imagine has some form of archetypal energy running through it. Walking through the door of the Trickster archetype, for example, teaches us how to have a sense of humor regarding our shit. It teaches us how to stare into the eye of the category five shit-storm of our life and to have a good laugh. Sure, it sucks. Sure, there’s shit everywhere. But it’s all laughable. It’s all a cosmic joke and we’re at times the butt end of it. And that’s okay. The Trickster archetype leverages a humorous bent into our overall perspective, ushering in humility, which further develops the courageous bent and fierceness bent we gained from the Hero and Shadow archetypes. Now we can courageously laugh with fierceness, despite our shit. Now, we are wide open for further archetypal unveiling. they do (just look at the advertisers and sponsors who are all over your television, your internet, your newspapers and your radio stations), then that agenda is going to be promoted and its detractors silenced. We should all be concerned about the underlying agenda to brainwash the public, the outright lies, the character assassination, the collusion with big pharma and the mass influence that the media has had in the case of Colett and David Stephan. It has become plain that there is a less obvious goal and it’s not to protect the public interest, to promote and write about the truth or to help expose criminality. We have just seen that our major, and most trusted news outlets are lying, colluding, belittling users of plant based medicine, slandering good people and pushing an agenda of fascist-style mind control. Shame on the Canadian Press Inc. and the handful of mega-corporations
As we peel away the multilayered onion of the self, it might make us cry, and it might stink up the joint, but the deeper awareness is more important than the discomfort. The recognition, acceptance, coordination, integration, and synthesis of the self, and all the archetypes that symbolically comprise it, is what matters now. It’s a kind of psychosynthesis. From individuation to selfactualization to self-transcendence and beyond into self-overcoming, archetypal psychology becomes an existential methodology that we can use to further develop the self. So ground yourself, take a deep breath, and let your archetypal journey begin. There will always be shit to deal with, but the archetypal path will at least make it more manageable and, as a bonus, more entertaining. In the end, the search for deeper selfawareness is what helps us get our shit together. That’s why the archetypal path is so important. It’s constantly in search of itself. It helps us finally discover where all our fucks should go. As Walker Percy said, “The search is what anyone would undertake if he were not sunk in the everydayness of his own life. To become aware of the search is to be onto something. Not to be onto something is to be in despair.”
involved in breaking down the moral fabric of our culture and its family values through this insidious conspiracy – and yes I mean conspiracy in the truest sense of the word – to create propaganda and crisis, in order to manipulate the opinions of Canadians, in a predetermined direction toward a fascist regime that uses pharmaceuticals for both profit and control. Have I gone too far? I think not. The media’s collusion in the storm surrounding the death of Ezekiel Stephan, is only one angle on this complex and significant story. There is still more to discover, so stay tuned for the next chapter where we again seek and shine light on the truth as we find it. Laurette Anderson, The Relevant School. More pages also offers us more room in which to share the stories and helpful information of our participators, without whom we would be unable to print each month, and who really do need the space to really publicize (make public) their ‘stuff’ above and beyond simple advertising. Once again, big thanks to all of our contributors, growing now literally by the day, who help make all of this possible in the many ways they do. Keep an eye out for us and some of those participators at upcoming events such as The Lift Expo in Toronto May 26th and 27th, O’Cannabiz, also in Toronto, June 8th and 9th, and the Vege
Expo, May 27th and The Cannabis Trade Show July 21st and 22nd at the PNE, both in Vancouver. Many, many more in the works to be announced either online or in future print editions. And finally a super big welcome to Rick of BCBUDSOLINE.CA who has come on board to help us grow in his own prolific fashion. Check out his website with more than 300 and counting, helpful, healing and yes even fun, Cannabis Related Products. I look forward to hearing from you. lorenzo@newagora.ca
