Trend PAck Danny Williams 1005992 EFMM5001 Fashion Forecasting & Sustainable Futures
Introduction to the trend pack This trend pack has been inspired by the future of 2050. With many people having different views and opinions on this future, this trend pack reflects them, influence came from the Earths population thinking the 21st of December 2012 was the end of the world. These trends are based specifically for womenswear, as the market is forecasted to rise over the next several years according to Mintel. Women are becoming a lot more bold in taste and are concerned about the money they are spending in the fashion industry and are making decisions based upon the new ‘multichannel’ market, where you can now shop through various implements of technology, and the quality of a product and how long something will last. The market drivers here are quality and style mixed together to create brand new trends that will attract the womenswear market to the collection. This trend pack contains 3 trends that are timeless, through colour, and diverse through consumer, using specific typologies studied through L:SN Global. The consumer that is portrayed isn’t necessarily the exact consumer for that trend, but is a basis to the foundation that the style would attract. The 3 trends also come with a story, to create more of an inspirational atmosphere, rather than describing colours, textures and patterns, the designer is emerged into a world that could possibly become a reailty, to influence them in their collection decision.

Trend PAck #3 EXTINCTION OF THE RAINFOREST. sustainable trend PREDICTED AUTUMN/ WINTER 2014/15
it’s 2050, due to peruvian illegal gold mining, need of agricultural land to supply food to the billions of inhabitants of the plant, and the consumption of trees to create resources, the amazon rainforest will cease to exist. plants, animals and trees that are indigenous to the amazon will succumb to the annihilation of their species and will be wiped from the planet. countless organisations have done what they can to save the species of the rainforest, but all we have is a memory of the living creature that made the rainforest their habitat. a warning to save our rainforests now.
