The week after school gets out is bliss– no homework, sleeping in, and enjoying the heat! However, soon you may be hit with summer’s worst enemy: boredom. But don’t fret. Here are five fun and unique summer destinations that are sure to kickstart your break.

Go to the Alameda County Fair and Carnival: Check out fun concerts, carnival games, horse racing, and more at the county fair. Go with friends and family and watch fireworks and movies on the lawn. The fair will create some fun summer memories!

Ghost Tour on the Haunted USS Hornet: If you’re brave enough, face the History Mystery Tour on the Hornet! The ship is said to be full of ghostly encounters and is the most haunted ship in America. Or, if you’re not up to a paranormal experience, there are other tours you can do.
