The end of summer sure looks different this year. We may not be driving through school pickup lines or meeting up with friends over coffee, lunch, or drinks, but our community still feels strong and connected. This month we are pleased to introduce everyone to the Goodell Family. Their move to the westside came just before SIP orders, so let’s show them just how caring and friendly our neighborhoods are! In this issue you will also find fun resident articles and of course our amazing business contributors share their expertise! If you have a story to share, or an idea to include in the next issue of Danville Living CA, send me an email - asullivan@bestversionmedia.com. I love hearing from neighbors and am dedicated to telling your stories! See you around town!

By Alexandra Sullivan, Resident since 2017
or Brian and Lindsey Goodell, the shelter-in-place orders from the spring provided not only personal challenges, such as not getting to introduce themselves to their new neighborhood, but also an opportunity to refocus their small business to adapt to our current reality and the needs of essential workers everywhere. Brian’s first job out of college was in real estate, but it didn’t take long for his entrepreneurial spirit to take over, and he’s been working for himself ever since. In 2017 he launched BibBoards, which “supplies brandable and customizable bib fasteners to consumers as well as races such as Run Disney and charities like St. Judes.” These fasteners make it so that you can attach your racing bib (the sheet of paper with your number/info/timer on it) to your clothing without having to use safety pins that ruin your favorite gear with holes! “As SIP orders popped up all over the country earlier this year and races were all canceled, the orders came to a halt as well. After a 3 week closure of our business and having to let all employees go, we found a new application for our patented invention as a PPE face mask hook to alleviate ear pain for all of our front-line heroes and community workers. This was the birth of bbSNAPS.” Within just a couple of days they were able to rehire all of their employees back and continue as an essential business. Lindsey is a Lafayette native who attended UC Davis, where she danced for the Sacramento Kings. She later studied at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in San Francisco to pursue her goal of working in fashion. She worked in management for several large retailers for well over a decade before deciding to stay home with their three kids full time. Now she finds herself even busier than before, running around with Tatum (9), Bryson (7), and Brooks (2). Brian and Lindsey first met in Walnut Creek in 2001, while out
with mutual friends. When Lindsey returned to the Bay Area after living in San Diego for a few years, they reconnected at Maria Maria, in Danville, in 2009. A couple years later they grew by two, and then tied the knot on the beach in Carmel in October, 2016. Brian grew up in Pleasanton, and later moved to Danville when his parents moved into Crow Canyon Country Club. That perfect halfway spot found, the Goodell’s moved into the same neighborhood as Brian’s parents in 2012, “with Danville in the middle of Pleasanton and Lafayette, we love the community we have found to call home and raise our family in, as well as how close we both are to our families and childhood friends.” At the end of 2019, the whole family relocated to the west side of Danville, a short walk away from Hap Magee park. “We instantly fell in love with the yard and property, filled with huge redwoods and tons of space for the kids to explore...We also loved the charm and character of our 1920’s original Danville home.” Unfortunately they moved in in the middle of winter, right before the SIP orders came in, “our family is looking forward to life getting a little more back to normal where we can meet more of our new neighbors and friends for the kids as they will be switching schools this fall.” Tatum and Bryson both love soccer and swimming. They’ve played with Mustang soccer for the last three years and can’t wait to play again this fall. Swimming on the Crow Canyon Country Club swim team is a favorite, especially for Tatum, where she hopes to swim more competitively. Bryson is also looking forward to playing flag football and baseball again. Lindsey says, “With all of the activities of the older two siblings, Brooks has become our car-seat baby, but loves anything that involves a ball so we will see where that leads him.” After learning that Brian attended Idaho State on a full-ride football scholarship, where he played wide receiver, it’s no surprise that he is just as active today! He’s played in the men’s Danville

Basketball League for over a decade. About 4 years ago he took up dirt biking and is enjoying introducing Bryson to the sport. This year Brian is getting ready to start his first season as the assistant head coach at Cal High for the boy’s varsity basketball team. Not one to let her passions subside, Lindsey also teaches dance classes at Club Sport San Ramon and loves taking the kids to Tahoe in the winter to teach them how to ski. With faith being the backbone of the Goodell family, they attend the Valley Community Church in Pleasanton. Lindsey and Tatum volunteer in the disabilities ministry, and the whole family looks forward to their annual family vacation to Camp Sugar Pine, where they meet up with over 40 family members and spend the weekend playing outside, reconnecting with everyone, and focusing on their relationship with God. They feel incredibly blessed to have the extended family and the compassionate and thoughtful kids that they do. To their new westside neighbors and beyond, Brian and Lindsey would like to say, “we want to thank everyone that has supported our small business along the way and especially through these past few months. We want to encourage our community to look at ways to support small businesses and buy local. Part of the charm of Danville is all of the small businesses that fill our streets. Finding ways we can support these businesses, their families and employees will help to preserve our town and ensure that we can all come out of this stronger together.” Do you know a neighbor who has a story to share? CANCELLED Danville Concours d’Elegance Message from founders regarding 2020 Danville d’Elegance Events and COVID-19: As we all continue to receive information regarding the evolving and dynamic nature of COVID-19, the Danville d’Elegance Foundation has changed our series of fundraising events for 2020 out of respect for our amazing donors, guests, sponsors, volunteers, and the Town of Danville. Sadly, our Concours and Gala Dinner will be cancelled this year. This was such a difficult decision as we really enjoy bringing all of our car enthusiasts together down the streets of Danville and come together as a group to fight Parkinson’s disease. The Tour is currently scheduled to go on as planned. We will continue to monitor the situation over time; however, we are hopeful this fundraiser will remain on the calendar. The $7,000,000 Danville d’Elegance has raised to Stop Parkinson’s in its Tracks over the past fifteen years is because of our participants and sponsors uniting and supporting our fundraising efforts. The Danville d’Elegance team, along with our Presenting Sponsor, Cole European Jaguar Land Rover, thanks you for your continued support and hopes you and your loved ones are staying healthy and safe. www.danville-delegance.org SEPTEMBER 2020

Meet Our New Principal By Carol Bender, Principal, St. Isidore School
W
ith great excitement, I write this letter of introduction to you as the new principal of St. Isidore School! For over 25 years, it has been my ministry to serve in the Catholic school community as an educator and administrator. I place tremendous emphasis on instilling the mission of our faith and providing a program of academic excellence. It is an incredible honor and privilege to lead St. Isidore School. My introduction to serving in Catholic education began on the peninsula, under the Archdiocese of San Francisco. After ten years of teaching in Belmont and San Bruno, I embraced the leadership role of vice-principal. Two years later, I became principal at Our Lady of Angels School (Burlingame). It was then while serving on a WCEA Accreditation Team that I became acquainted with St. Isidore School. I was immediately impressed by the school’s strong sense of community and dedication to students, academically, and spiritually. I reconnected with St. Isidore School when I moved to Danville in 2005 and was hired as a fourth-grade long-term substitute teacher. Since then, I have served in several positions at St. Isidore School including as Jr. High teacher, vice-principal, academic support, and parishioner.
2020–2021 School Year Serving as a principal during a pandemic is a monumental task! The feeling of uncertainty that surrounds each day and a longing for a sense of normalcy is constant. Along with my leadership team, I spent this summer connecting with teachers, parents, and diocesan leadership to navigate this uncertainty while analyzing what other academic institutions across the nation had outlined for the upcoming year. The county’s recent mandate has confirmed that we will start the school year in a long-distance format. Faculty and staff have been busy expanding technology platforms and implementing engaging lessons and activities. We have prepared a rigorous academic and faith-filled online program for our students. Our ultimate goal is to bring our students back to campus safely, and we are busy preparing for that time. I pray you remain in good health, stay safe, and have an excellent start to the school year! Many Blessings, Carol Bender, Principal St. Isidore School

How Design Can Enhance the Everyday (When You’re Home More Than Ever!) By Casey Howard, Casey Howard Designs
I
n March, few could imagine month six of this pandemic. While our homes continue to serve as our office, classroom, conference room, restaurant, gym, playground, and space for rest and recovery, our space has never been more important to our daily lives. Interior design, whether it’s a quick fix or a full-scale project, can enhance the everyday. Maximize Through Space Planning Whether you’re an urban dweller with cozy quarters or a suburban family with sprawling square footage, space planning is a tenet of great design. A well-planned space, regardless of its size, never feels crowded. Quick tips: take a less is more approach to the amount of furniture in a room, ensure walkways and hallways allow for unencumbered movement, and don’t be afraid to divide spaces into multiple zones instead of a single focal point. Well-Designed Self-Care While everyone is managing a wide range of stresses and responsibilities at this time, it is important to give ourselves grace and make time for self-care. Design is an important element of an at-home wellness ritual. We believe in luxurious master
bathroom renovations for this very reason, as well as the power of a cozy reading nook to escape with a good book or a restorative meditation. For a quick mood-enhancement, light candles at the end of the work day to mark the transition to evening hours. Out of the Box Work Spaces Sitting in the same spot every day for work or remote learning can create brain fog and stifle inspiration. Creating different areas can help keep both adult and kids’ minds fresh. I’ve designated an outdoor Zoom station for virtual meetings and classroom interaction, the kitchen island for arts and crafts, and a cozy bohemian style alcove with floor cushions for quiet reading time and responding to emails. To take your space planning, work areas, and self-care sanctuary to the next level, CHD specializes in luxury residential renovation and whole-home furnishings projects. Volunteering at Home: The Crayon Initiative By Alexandra Sullivan, Resident since 2017
I
’m sure (I hope!) most of us are familiar with the colorful logo of local non-profit, The Crayon Initiative, hanging on Railroad avenue and seen around town. If you’re unfamiliar with them, they collect used and discarded crayons from truly anywhere - restaurants, schools, your own home - and melt them down to create new boxes of crayons for art programs at children’s hospitals all across the country. Thanks to a local Facebook mom’s group, I saw a post about The Crayon Initiative’s at-home sorting boxes and knew that this was the perfect opportunity for our family to jump back into volunteering during the continued social distancing orders. The premise is so simple, even our four-year-old daughter understands the process and who these crayons are for. Our son, eightyears-old, is at the perfect age to really take ownership over this project. He sets aside time each day to sort, and already wrote down when our drop-off date is so that we can get two new boxes. If you have younger children, or really any age, this is such a great way to stay involved in our community and as we say “flex those giving muscles.” You can pick up as many boxes as you’d like (we went with two this first round) at the warehouse in Concord. Once home, you sort the different shades of used crayons into the basic rainbow plus white and black. Anything that you can’t identify or are unsure about goes in the brown pile! Two weeks later (longer if you need it), you bring the sorted crayons back to the warehouse and start again! Countless organizations, including local churches, Girl Scouts, and other youth groups, have volunteered here. And now, with these at-home sorting boxes, The Crayon Initiative has found another innovative way to brighten the lives of all who get involved.
The kids thought pots and pans would be better for sorting. Once filled, we dumped the crayons into their respective bags.

New Regional Park in Diablo Valley By Dave Mason, Public Information Supervisor, EBRPD
O
n Tuesday, July 7, 2020, the East Bay Regional Park District Board of Directors unanimously approved the final land use plan for public access improvements and open space preservation at the Park District’s new 2,540-plus-acre Concord Hills Regional Park (working name). The final land use plan includes a joint visitor center with the National Park Service highlighting the history of the Port Chicago Naval Magazine National Memorial and the Diablo Valley, staging areas, and miles of recreational trails for hiking, biking, and nature viewing. “This is the true culmination of a decades-long community effort,” said Beverly Lane, who has represented Concord on the East Bay Regional Park District Board since 1994. “I’m proud to be part of the Park District and its effort to produce a truly fabulous plan for a new Regional Park in the Diablo Valley.” “This important land use plan will provide public access, preserve natural habitat, and honor the unique natural and human history of the land,” added Lane. In July 2019, after a 20+ year community effort, the Park District received possession of 2,216 acres of U.S. Navy property at the Concord Naval Weapons Station. An additional 327 acres will transfer to the District at a later time. The final land use plan utilizes existing developed areas and buildings to the greatest extent possible. The final approved plan and the associated environmental analysis permanently preserve 95% of the land as open space and protected habitat. “Turning the former military base into a world-class park will take very many years and millions of dollars to restore and open,” said East Bay Regional Park District General Manager Robert Doyle. “However, thanks to the Park District and community’s efforts,
2,500 plus acres of scenic Diablo Valley landscape is permanently protected.” “The opportunity to partner with the National Park Service to tell the unique and important natural and historic story of the land in a future joint visitor is exciting and rare. We thank National Park Service and all of our partners for their help in making this worldclass park a reality,” added Doyle. On July 17, 1944, over 5,000 tons of munitions at Port Chicago exploded, killing 320 mostly enlisted African American sailors. The tragic explosion accounted for a quarter of all African American deaths in World War II and highlighted racial inequality within the Navy. On July 26, 1948, President Truman signed Executive Order 9981, ordering the desegregation of all military forces. The National Park Service operates the Port Chicago Naval Magazine National Memorial at the site of the explosion, recognizing those that perished. Creating a new Regional Park in the Diablo Valley has been a partnership between the Park District, U.S. Navy, National Park Service, City of Concord, and Save Mount Diablo. Public access is expected to come first to the southern portions of the park consisting of 900 acres south of Bailey Road. The Board will consider the official naming of the new Regional Park at a later time after additional community outreach and engagement. The East Bay Regional Park District is the largest regional park system in the nation, comprising 73 parks, 55 miles of shoreline, and over 1,300 miles of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and environmental education. The Park District receives more than 25 million visits annually throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Whale Watching in Monterey Bay By JP Sullivan, 2nd Grade
A
couple of weeks ago my family went to Santa Cruz. One of the best things we did was whale watching. We saw a HUGE Humpback whale who swam underneath our boat and did circles around us. He was so big, we never even saw his face. He had a bunch of barnacles on his back. There was a little sea lion who kept playing around the whale. He stuck his tongue out at us. After we left the first whale, we found a couple more. One of those whales splashed the boat! The captain was really excited to see the whales dive so we could get pictures of their tails.
He was way bigger in real life!
I wish I could show my videos of the dolphins playing in the water.
We saw dolphins too, but they weren’t Bottlenose dolphins, they were Risso’s dolphins. We saw them jump and play. A group of dolphins is called a “pod.” They like to eat squids. At the beach the next day there was a sea otter floating in the waves. It came so close to the beach I could have pet it - but I didn’t! He was so cute but he’s a wild animal, so I know I shouldn’t touch him. Other animals we saw were seals, crabs, starfish, tons of birds, and the biggest school of fish I’ve ever seen. I loved standing at the front of the boat and looking at the huge ocean.

If 2020 Was a Candy, What Kind Would it be? Submitted by Residents of Danville
A
t the beginning of August, we posed this question on our social media pages (@DanvilleLivingCA):
If 2020 was a candy, what kind would it be?
Now Open
To say the answers gave us a good laugh would be an understatement! Here are some of our favorites...
Beginning June 13th
Weekends only by appointment
“Those trick jelly beans that look like chocolate or watermelon but taste like farts and vomit.”
Facemasks and social distancing will be required. Call for details.
“Black licorice” - Probably the most popular answer!
• Style, Sophistication & Speed Reign Supreme
“I would have to say it would be a Peep that was left out for 4 days. It looks cute and a quick little snack, but just stale enough for the sugar to cut the roof of your mouth and break your teeth all at the same time”
• An Imperial Past – Lives & Breathes • Destinies Collide & New Nations are Born • Culture & Folklore are Carved into History • Rivals Battle & Triumph – Only the
“Milk DUDS”
Fittest Survive…
“Rocky Road”
This is Blackhawk Museum...
“Candy corn” - Another common response (but what’s so wrong with candy corn??) “A jawbreaker the size of your fist” “Sugar-free gummy bears” - if you’re ever feeling down and need a good laugh, look up the reviews for these bite-size terrors. You will be both impressed and horrified at the time and creativity folks spent on making sure no one else purchases these little bears! Thank you neighbors for always being willing to find the silver lining in tough situations and share in a bit of good-natured humor to get us all through : )

Quinn
By Emma Riehl
the Goldendoodle
Meet Quinn, an 18-month Goldendoodle. She’s our big lap dog; she loves to cuddle, relax, go on runs and walks, plus go swimming! Quinn is an F1B Goldendoodle, which means her mom is a Goldendoodle, and her dad is a Standard Poodle. She weighs about 60 pounds and is expected to fill out to about 70 pounds. Quinn’s coat is extra curly, which means she requires many trips to the dog salon. We love to get creative with her looks. We usually opt for a traditional Teddy Bear cut, but sometimes we like to mix it up and “Poodle our Doodle.” We adore our curly Quinn girl, and we look forward to many happy, healthy years with her as our companion!

Tee Time
Tee it Up:
in Bodega Bay By Lynne Harrosh, Resident since 2008
N
eed to get away from home and the triple digit heat this summer? Just 88 miles or 1 hour and 30 minutes from Danville, you will find Bodega Bay, a coastal town on the Pacific Ocean in Sonoma County. This tiny town will refresh all your senses. The smell of the salty air, the fog rolling along the coast keeping you cool, and the protected bay harboring the salmon fishing boats are just some of the things that will keep your senses on high alert. The Links at Bodega Harbour Golf Course, in the sleepy fishing town of Bodega Bay, looks like a small unassuming course. However, as one of Northern California’s top 10 courses, this is your forewarning of a course that will make you stay alert at every swing of the club. This Scottish seaside style links course designed by Robert Trent Jr. in 1978 will have you questioning your skills. With the course’s dynamic rolling fairways, wind, temperature, nearly 100 sand bunkers, undulating greens, seaside marshlands, and coastal rough, it is no wonder that it is considered one of California’s top 25 most challenging courses. The Pit. You won’t understand what they are talking about when they explain it to you. You will have to experience the last 3 holes, known as the Pit, for yourself. As you drive down the steep hill to hole 16, you will most likely come across abandoned golf carts. What?? Yes, golf carts without players and golf bags. There is a tee box and a marshland that extends for nearly 200 yards. Right there on the coast of the vast Pacific Ocean you will tee up your ball and aim for the ocean. You know you can drive the ball 200+ yards, so why is it that there are said to be over 800,000 golf balls in the marshland? Maybe you hit it over the marsh, maybe you did not, either
way, you will have to get your whole golf bag from your cart and carry it through the marshland on the narrow wood bridge, 200 yards to the drop zone or to where your ball landed. A 100 yard shot and you are on the green. Then, a par 3 for hole 17 as you walk back toward your golf cart. Yes, you hit back over the marshland. It sure is great to land on the green on a par 3! Getting back to your cart and driving up to hole 18 gives you spectacular views of Bodega Bay, making a 40’ putt for par on the 18th hole isn’t so bad either. ☺ The course will challenge you and probably take longer than the average course even though it is shorter. You can explore the little town of Bodega Bay, stopping at the pink and white striped Salt Water Taffy store or check out the marina with the fishing boats boasting their King Salmon catch of the day. You can purchase the salmon right off the dock as they are unloading or fresh crab during crab season. Enjoy the getaway. Enjoy the change of scenery. Live your best life!

Views of the bay are spectacular.
Perfect Landing! I landed in the “aiming Spot”, but could not make it over Hell’s Corner! It was so much fun trying.
The Marshland in “The Pit” is said to have over 800,000 balls in it. A few of those may be mine :) Grab your bag, leave your cart and head off into the marshland on the wooden pathway after you drive the ball on Hole 16. Hole 16 and 17 are walking only holes.

Cooking Corner
Salmon Florentine By Stephanie Seaberg, Resident since 2010
A
ccording to culinary etiquette, putting cheese on seafood is big no-no. I have a serious bone to pick with whoever wrote that rule. They clearly haven’t had my Salmon Florentine. I totally understand that our country loves to put too much cheese on everything, but this is a dish where I’m happy to break the rules. It’s a meal pretty enough for the holidays, but it’s often on my table once a week.
Salmon Florentine Serves 4 Time: 30-40 min.
You will need • • • • • • • • • • •
4 4oz. Servings of fresh salmon 1 5oz. Bag of fresh spinach 4 tsp. Olive oil, divided 1 TBS of butter 1/3 C. Finely chopped shallots 2 Cloves minced fresh garlic Zest from one lemon (reserve the juice for the salmon) 1/4 TBS Red pepper flake 1/2 C. Heavy whipping cream 1/3 C. Parmesan cheese, plus extra for garnish 1/2 C. Cooked bacon, chopped for garnish (optional)
Putting it together
In a medium sauce pan, empty the whole bag of spinach and drizzle with 2 TBS olive oil and cover with a lid. You might have pack it in tight. Turn the heat on low and cook the spinach gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it’s wilted. Remove the cooked spinach to a few paper towels on a dish and allow it to cool and drain.
minutes per side. Season it with salt, pepper and the reserved lemon juice, then remove it to a plate. Spoon the creamy spinach sauce over the salmon and garnish with bacon and Parmesan. I love to serve this over a bed of brown rice or couscous.
Stephanie Seaberg has lived in the East Bay for the last 30 years, and is a SRVHS Alumni. Steph is a play-writer and director for Theater Performance Workshop, KAOS Camp, and Golden Oak Montessori. Steph lives for cooking, theater, photography, travel, and singing.
In the same pan, heat your butter until it melts and sauté the shallots on medium/low heat for 3-4 minutes or until they’re soft. Add the garlic, lemon zest and red pepper flake and cook for 30 seconds. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in the heavy whipping cream. Bring the heat down to low and allow it to gently reduce for 5 minutes. It’s important not to let it come to a rolling boil. Add the cooked spinach and Parmesan cheese and cook it on low heat for 5 more minutes. This is a good time to make the salmon while the spinach finishes. In a skillet, heat the rest of the olive oil and sear the salmon on medium/high heat for 3-4

In Our Own Backyard
Connecting Communities on the Iron Horse Trail By Sandra Mcmullan, Resident since 1992
T
he Iron Horse Trail is not an accident of nature but rather one of careful planning along with civic action. Back in 1977 when the Southern Pacific Railroad abandoned its right of way, Contra Costa and Alameda counties joined together to purchase the right of way. The original intention was to create a transportation corridor, but, after hearing from the public, the counties obtained $8 million in state transportation grants to buy the right of way to preserve it as a trail, utility corridor and a future rail transit route. Currently the trail spans a little more than 32 miles, 24 of which are in Contra Costa County, with a proposal to add 22 more miles. The developed portion begins in Concord near Highway 4, runs south through Walnut Creek down through Alamo/ Danville past Dublin/Pleasanton BART and on to Shadow Cliffs Regional Park. Eventually, the trail will continue extending as it connects from Livermore to Suisun Bay, a distance of approximately 55 miles. Back in 2003, BART proposed to use the trail for a Diesel
Multiple Unit (DMU) train from Walnut Creek to Tracy. Can you imagine how that would’ve changed our entire community? Nothing like a train running past your back yard to guarantee devaluing your property! We all know we need better mass transit – but not, literally, in our back yards. While there are currently no proposals to change the trail, we, as a community, must always remain vigilant to any efforts to do so. Did you know there is a “trail user protocol” on the trail? Bicycles and Hikers yield to horses (Yes, I said horses! We used to have a lot of those roaming our streets years ago!); for everyone’s safety – keep to the right, call out or ring a bell when passing, no motorized vehicles are permitted on the trail except Wheelchairs and Class 1 & 2 ebikes. Dogs must be on leash, and of course, please clean up after your dog!!! The Iron Horse Trail provides a wonderful scenic and serene pathway to stroll, ride or run for exercise and fun. The canopy of trees that covers most of the Danville section is spectacular. Not only are the trees majestic, but they also provide shade to grace your journey. It’s yet another source of community pride; I cannot imagine our hometown without the Iron Horse Trail!

The Perfect Nose (Rhinoplasty) By Dr. Stephen J Ronan, MD FACS
Y
our nose is the most prominent feature on your face, and its shape affects your overall appearance. Unlike other features on the body that elicit either positive or negative responses when visualized, most noses are only noticed for negative reasons… like too wide, too long, or pronounced hump or bump. Noses are meant to disappear into the face. That’s why when I perform nose surgery (rhinoplasty), I try to create a nose that conforms to the balance and proportions of the face so nothing stands out. Our brains unconsciously understand aesthetic proportions and whether something is pleasing and conforming, or is bothersome and stands out. This means that a nose that is fantastic on one face can be a disaster on another. One nose doesn’t fit all -- we must build noses that are designed specifically for an individual’s
proportions and facial structure. While most nose patients have aesthetic concerns, some also have functional concerns. This typically involves crookedness, weakness or poor shape of some structures that cause obstruction or restriction of air movement. These problems are addressed at the same time during the procedure. We can both make the function and aesthetics better simultaneously.
Noses are considered difficult cases and many plastic surgeons will not do them. I am often referred and perform revisional rhinoplasty. Almost always, a revisional surgery is done because at least one of the three crucial steps was off target.
Successful rhinoplasty surgery results from three important steps: 1. The surgeon must first evaluate exactly what the problem is, and which structural aspects of the nose need to be addressed; 2. Next the surgeon must be able to visualize the right nose for a particular patient’s face and conceive the most appropriate surgical plan; 3. Lastly, the surgeon must be able to execute that plan both technically and artistically.
So what’s the perfect nose? There isn’t a single one. There are many...one for each person and face! The best way to determine if you are a good candidate for nose surgery is to schedule an in-person or virtual consultation where the procedure is explained, and all of your questions answered. If you are interested in learning more about rhinoplasty or other cosmetic procedures, please contact my office at 925.736.5757.
