It’s that time of the year again! San Ramon Valley High School has been waiting for this moment, and it’s finally arrived. Spring sports have made a comeback and we are ready to see what this year’s athletes bring to the table. There are countless amounts of popular sports at SRVHS, some of which include baseball, swim and dive, golf, and badminton. However, the sport that everyone should be focusing on this year is our Track and Field team. Throughout the past two years, our male and female athletes have been breaking countless records. Whether it be rain or shine, the team puts all their energy into practices in order to achieve their goals.

SRVHS track athletes prepare to race

Recently, our track and field athletes attended the NCS Meet of Champions. At this event, SRVHS achieved remarkable results, for they broke various records. The most recent record was broken by Emma Tavella, a current senior at SRVHS. Emma broke her own school record in the 1600m at NCS with a time of 4:57.40. With this outstanding finishing time, Emma placed 4th, just missing a spot to the state championships. San Ramon Valley athletes continue to impress districts across the state due to their work ethics as well as their dedication. We are extremely excited to see what our athletics department has to offer in the next few months. Don’t forget to support incoming sports events by wearing green and gold! For more information on our sport teams, visit srvhs.net and scroll through the Athletics tab. We hope to see you sometime soon in the crowd cheering on our invincible athletes!
