I am an award-winning architect who is passionate about architecture and urbanism, always aiming to reach excellent in all of my projects and actions. I have a wealth of experience working with well-known practices in the UK and Italy, where I have fully strengthened my capabilities in dealing with multiple tasks, understanding and managing processes in multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrated my expertise as an urban designer. In the UK, I was working in Farrells, an international practice with projects in London and East Asia. I was involved in the bid for the Meridian Water scheme, a high profile residential development in the London Borough of Enfield. In Italy, I have worked with Studio Secchi-Vigano’ developing schemes across Europe, including France, Italy, Belgium, and Russia. My role was an “architecte-urbaniste” working on different scales from masterplaning and district-wide plans, residential typology design, to detail design of public spaces. I was a key person in projects such as Grand Paris (2008-2009), a concept competition for ‘Moscow City Agglomeration’ (2012), the residential quarter ZAC La Courrouze in Rennes (2008-2012), among many others. In ZAC La Courrouze I was in charge of developing a 264-units scheme in an area of 6 hectares. In 2012 I co-founded B•OND Architects and Urban Planners, a studio winner of the Milan’s New Generation festival in 2013. Here I led a team of architects and urbanists to develop various local project. Furthermore, I was in charge of negotiating contracts, dealing with clients and stakeholders, developing project programmes, site monitoring, coordination with engineers and other consultants and general office-base duties, such as staff management and keeping people motivated. In addition to my work experience, I have also tracked record of research and academic contribution, as was a teaching fellow in the Polytechnic of Milan and University IUAV of Venice between 2012 and 2014 For the complete on-line portfolio, please visit: https://issuu.com/daomingchang/docs/portfolio_dao_ming_chang_web
