Hi!
Introduction
This is my cooperative teacher portfolio. With this I hope you can understand my views as a teacher and what I can give to student-teacher candidates eager to start working on the most rewarding field I believe it exists, Education. My field is the English as a Second Language (ESL) area. This area is a indispensable one because English been considerer the business language around the world, is a very useful course when teaching it right. As an English teachers I am creative and flexible in the course because I can use whatever resource I have taking advantage of them; never forgetting the goal I want to accomplish in my students, that is to be able to communicate effectively with others in English. My main job as a teacher is to help others and student-teacher candidates especially accomplish their goals in our big mission in educating others. ENJOY!
Hello my name is Darlene. I am an elementary English teacher, which I LOVE. I am very passionate about Bachelors Degree my work because, I believe in forming productive individuals that will contribute to raising our society in this small beautiful Island. I have grown to be a teacher in the past seven years in different communities hence in private schools as well in public schools. I believe that all my students across these years have made me the teacher I am today. They have impacted me in so many ways, positive and negative, but I only see the positive in everyone and everything. The part I love the most of this field is to interact and transmit my knowledge to others, therefore helping students, parents, and coEnglish K-6 Teacher’s Certificate workers along the way developing skills that will help them in life.

My Final Reflection As a future cooperative teacher I understand that‌ When I decided to become a teacher and furthermore an English teacher I knew that I will had to become a mentor and accessible to a lot of people. A teacher main characteristic are to be a listener and an observer. These are key when working actively with others and especially people so different from each other. I am and will be always available to help in all areas necessary (structure, planning, content, council) to teacher candidates that I will work with. This is a team and will always be because without communication no teacher can ever be effective. All in all, I hope to work with teacher candidates and let them see the rewards of becoming a teacher here in Puerto Rico.
