U will entertain and educate you on all the things to improve your life – things often neglected like health, weight management, esthetics, fashion and even holistic applications to ensure you can indeed be you at all times. U is an interesting letter in the alphabet. It is one of the most used vowels, yet overlooked. Just reading this text you might be surprised how many times it has already been used. WHO ARE WE U is a controlled mass circulation FREE magazine distributed every Thursday throughout Chattanooga and surrounding areas. U coverage includes feature articles on health, fitness, well being, fashion andmore. Readership for U is approximately 20,000, with a readership segment of the 27-59 market. If you want this market to see and read about your products or services, U does the job better than anyone.

ARE WE A SMART BUY?

For advertisers, U is an efficient media buy when compared to other print and radio media. With readership targeted to the 27-59 market, U offers a fine tuned focus for your advertising dollar. The audience is more mature and facused than younger demograpics and have more expendable income. Also, U “shelf life” makes it a good buy, often remaining in the possession of the reader for longer than a few weeks. Compared to radio, our readers can actually spend more spend time with your advertisements and see the products of services you sell. U is not just a “read” publication, it’s a “use” publication.

DEADLINES

All space reservations and ad copy must be in the U offices by 5 pm EST Friday two weeks prior to publication date. Proof - Thursday noon EST two weeks prior to publication date. Non-proof - Friday 5 pm EST two weeks prior to publication date. Camera ready copy is accepted until 5 pm EST Friday. Inserts must be provided to U by noon EST Friday two weeks prior to publication date. All deadlines are subject to change to accommodate holidays and/or special supplements.

MECHANICALS

U is a magazine that utilizes a four column format. All advertisements submitted that do not conform to the sizes will be enlarged, reduced or floated at the discretion of the publisher. U does not guarantee the quality of any camera-ready art that must be resized. In most cases no additional charge to produce ad from start to finish. No charge for corrections. Redesign of 40 percent or more of ad is a $35 fee. Electronic files may be submitted on CD, DVD or by email. The acceptable formats are jpeg, eps, tiff, psd, PDF. Late fee for ads submitted after deadline is $25.

THE FINE PRINT

Advertisers and advertising agencies are liable for all content (including text and illustrations) of advertisements, and are responsible, without limitation, for and all claims made thereof against U, its officers and employees. Publisher reserves the right to revise, reject or omit without notice any advertisement at any time. U accepts no liability for its failure, for any cause, to insert an advertisement. Liability for any error appearing in an advertisement is limited to the percent of the ad that is incorrect. Advertisements that are of poor print quality due to art work, will be reprinted in the next issue at no extra cost. To qualify for an adjustment, advertiser must contact U within 5 days from the date of error. ALL CONTRACTS executed for frequency rates must be completed. A one month cancellation notice must be received in writing. Your rate level for one year is based on the SIZE and FREQUENCY of your initial ad schedule. Earned frequency discounts are for consecutive placements. Any advertiser who does not fulfill their contracted obligation will be rebilled at the earned rate. The prices listed are prices per issue.
