LEGACY
It has been 60 years since David Austin Snr. first introduced English Roses to the world, and in doing so changed the face of an industry. His legacy is felt in the millions of gardens across the world that bloom every year with his creations. By being a David Austin Partnership Stockist you are part of our story.
iii.
FARMING
We are incredibly proud of our horticultural heritage. Our roses are still grown today on our family farm in Shropshire, using traditional and intricate techniques, many still carried out by hand.
ii.
I N S P I R E D BY N AT U R E
From a simple fascination with nature and a love for roses, David turned his passion into a global business, with his English Roses sold in garden centres worldwide. Inspired by the beauty and fragrance of Old Roses, he set out to craft a rose with similar characteristics, but which benefitted from the health, repeat flowering and array of colours found in Modern Roses.
iv.
BREEDING
Combining true craftsmanship, nature and expertise, each English Rose goes through 13 years of trial and development before being released. We are continually building on our decades of breeding expertise and we offer our best performing English Rose hybrids to our Partnership Stockists. As a result, you can be sure that your customers will purchase our very best varieties.

PLANTS
The health and well-being of our plants is at the core of everything we do. Our goal today remains the same as it did at the beginning; to develop the healthiest roses possible without compromising their beauty, fragrance, grace and most importantly, their charm. Above all, we love roses and we want to see them thrive.
iii. Our plants are created by highly skilled craftsmen, grown by our farmers, delivered to you, and then taken home to be loved by your customers.
PLANET
We have a deep rooted love of nature and we are committed to doing all we can to protect and preserve it. We have a unique reliance on the natural environment; the quality of our roses depend on it. We are committed to treading more lightly on the planet.
PEOPLE We take great pride in the fact that our plants bring joy to people, and with our profits we work to ethically extend that joy and give back to causes we believe in.
P L A N T I N G P O S I T I V E LY
for the planet
Our green pot is made in the UK from 98% recycled material and is recyclable. We are continually working to reduce water wastage, harvesting rainwater from our roof spaces and watering our rose stock using a closed loop system sourced from our reservoir, where any water not needed by our plants is recycled back into the system. Our greenhouses are heated using a biomass boiler. We are actively working to increase our use of IPM to naturally keep our stock healthy, reduce chemical use and encourage beneficial predators. As part of our commitment to pollinators we have a number of hives producing honey on site and do not use neonicotinoids. O F F E R I N G YO U A N D YO U R C U STO M E RS A G R E E N E R P RO D U C T

ROSES BEST FOR
FLOWERING with abundance Repeat flowering from June right through to November, roses are a particularly prolific plant, providing colour all summer long, making them a great investment and a valuable addition to any garden. To encourage repeat flowering we recommend deadheading roses throughout the flowering season. Giving a good prune in January will help create a good plant shape and structure for the season ahead.
Customers can easily identify our most abundantly flowering varieties using the BEST FOR FLOWERING icon on the variety slot tag.

DEADHEADING
Pruning is essential to create a well-shaped rose. Using secateurs, cut back stems on shrub roses by half.
Feeding a rose twice a year will provide it with essential nutrients, to ensure it performs at its best. We recommend following with a layer of mulch.
Remove finished flowers throughout the flowering season to encourage new growth and repeat blooms.
MYCORRHIZAL FUNGI EASY TO USE
SUITABLE FOR ALL ROSES
Planting with our Mycorrhizal Fungi naturally increases nutrient and water uptake by enriching the rose’s root system, encouraging healthy growth and abundant flowering.
