FROM CAR BOMBS TO CAR RADIOS The world is truly a Ghetto, a world that indiscriminately embraces and forsakes all. It builds a handful of heroes and destroys a universe of nobodies. At age 1, this environment is where Grand Scheme and his family began their new lives – migrating from Karachi, Pakistan to a 1 bedroom apartment in Opa Locka, Florida a section of the Greater Miami area. Like many 3rd world immigrants, the marketing of America was a picture clip from ―Leave it to Beaver‖, but white picket fences are far from the reality. The negativity of growing up in lower-middle class America began to affect his household. Dad drinking, cheating on Mom – soon after came the divorce. This is the point when we ask ourselves, ―Why is this happening to me?‖ The confusion of being American and living in a household that clings to certain cultural values can be overwhelming. Living life co-dependent on separated parents who refuse to believe that drugs, prostitution, & gun violence are low-income conditions that affect the youth of America, will only make you a stronger hustler. To his parents, the ―American Dream‖ is having a stable job, because in Pakistan, there are no jobs. To him as an American, a job is being trapped. Acquiring capital and making investments was the ultimate career choice.

BY: STACY HARRISON

Following the Jewish blueprint for success proved effective in the years to come. Then came 9/11. This tragedy affected more than just those that couldn‘t make it out of the buildings – in fact, it affected the American perspective as a whole. Now the struggle of choosing a side to be on in a Black & White country is no longer the issue – for a taxpayer the Census Bureau fails to acknowledge. Americans who did not know where Wisconsin was, now know about the Middle East – but with a skewed perspective. His plan is to change that perspective. The birth of Grand Scheem takes place in these Divided States of America. Facing the struggles of being a minority, ―home‖ moved from Pakistan to New York to Florida to Texas to California and back. Scheem witnessed his first car-bombing at age fourteen, an episode he later recalls vividly, ―…and the bombers weren‘t too intelligent – instead of hitting their target (the police station) they blew up everything on the other side of the street. A man ran out into the street – on flames – and literally burned to death in the middle of the road. About four hours later, the Minister (equivalent to the Mayor) shows up to the scene, gives the family of the victim a briefcase of money, and that was that.‖ Even the harsh surroundings of the Middle East couldn‘t prepare Grand Scheem for what he would face in America. In Pakistan, ―minority‖ is determined by religion – Grand Scheem was born a Catholic minority in an Islamic republic. CONTINUED NEXT PAGE:

In America, he remains a minority in a segregated society, determined by skin color and culture. Having to be searched at airports, being stared at in skyscrapers, being and around constant racial slurs & hate crimes, is the result of constant media misrepresentation. Explains Scheem, ―The goal here is not money, but more so to impact the perspectives of those oblivious to the truth.‖ The stereotype of terrorism, though, is only one of many topics Grand Scheem addresses. Getting America and the world familiar with the face you see on television is important – know your enemy before you hate him. ―…you even have groups like Green Day, Linkin Park, and Rage Against the Machine that not only see certain issues, but act on them in a major way‖, explains Scheem. Facing the same oppression that many minorities in America continue to battle is why Grand Scheem chooses Hip Hop to speak to those living the struggle. In its purest form, the Black community used Hip Hop to voice their disposition in America. Scheem influences, such as KRS-One, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Paris, NWA, and Nas used Hip Hop as a line of communication to the people, and so shall Grand Scheem.

From the streets of New Jersey and Philadelphia, the artist known as Andres Gonzalez aka Dramatik has made a name for himself in the hip hop world. Now residing in City of Lawrence Ma. A life‘s journey he developed his unique style. ―I spent most of my time getting into trouble.‖ He said.― My sisters and I we always going at it.‖How ironic that one of his sisters was a DJ and that exposed him to the world of music at a very young age. Ironically one of his sisters had been a DJ so that exposed him to the world of music at a very young age. ―I learned to appreciate everything from Rock & Roll to Motown.‖ Dramatik said. After his mother fleeing a abusive relationship and coming to Lawrence. Growing up he was enticed to the music scene by such great artist as KRS-One, Chuck D and EPMD. ―I began writing poetry, which evolved into writing rap lyrics.‖ He said.

While banging in the streets and ending up in the hospital with gunshot wounds to the chest. ― I was faced with the fact of my son growing up and becoming a street banger.‖ He said. Giving him the motivation and the right change to focus on music as a alternate choice to street violence. His career evolved when he met local rappers the late Scientific and Krumbsnatcha who inspired him to work hard and make his own mark in the game. Joining the group from Lawrence ―Missing Elements of, which was relevant to his development as a artist the group broke up leaving him to his own devices. ―I got some buzz when I entered a few battles in the underground world of hip hop.‖ Dramatik said. Catching the ear of Krumbsnatcha he was offered a spot on the W.O.L.V.E.S. ( Warriors Organizing Lives Values Escaping Struggle) Record label. You can see Dramatik and the style we have come to know in video after video, with his dominating style can be heard and seen in ―Street life‖, All Eyes on Her "and ―Do You Remember‖ also putting down his director skills while directing Krumbsnatcha‘s video ― The East Is Back.‖. ― I was just nominated for best hip hop artist of 2009 in the Boston Music Awards.‖ He said. He continues to stay on his grind, having several projects in the works such as ―The X-Periment‖ a classic collaboration, ―A New Brotherhood of Wolf, which is hosted by Statik Selectah, and a ground breaking project which will leave it‘s mark collaborated wit Blaze Infamous called ― The Re-Animators. The selected tracks take music from some of the greatest projects of all time. Watch out for the highly anticipated solo project called Drama Life.

MICHAEL JACKSON‘S $250 MILLION RECORD DEAL

It is reported that Michael Jackson‘s estate and Sony Music Entertainment has reached a deal that would pay the King of Pop‘s estate up to $250 million dollars by the year 2017. It is said that one of the projects will be never released recordings which are schedule to come out in December. ―According to sources close to the deal.‖ A video game and videos and the ―Off The Wall‖ album which was originally released in 1979 will be rereleased. One of the projects already counted in the contract was the two-disc album that accompanied. "This Is It," the film based on footage of concert rehearsals for what was to have been Jackson's comeback at London's O2 arena. Including the more than 5 million copies of that special release, Jackson has sold some 31 million albums since his death, about two-thirds of them outside the United States. The landmark deal is worth more than all other benchmarks, such as the all-encompassing rights deals that concert promoter and ticketseller Live Nation Entertainment Inc. had previously signed with Madonna at $120 million and Jay-Z for $150 million.

Jackson's deal is even more remarkable because it does not include royalties from merchandise. The contract shows the value of legacy artists. It also comes at a time of decline for the music industry, with sales down about half from their peak in 2000 mainly due to free file-swapping. Revenue from that, song sales and merchandising agreements brought into the estate revenues of about $100 million, lawyers for the estate's administrators told a Los Angeles Superior Court judge in December, when they sought a percentage as an administration fee.

DID MICHAEL SEE DEATH COMING? Whatever the final autopsy results reveal, it was greed that killed Michael Jackson. Had he not been driven – by a cabal of bankers, agents, doctors and advisers – to commit to the gruelling 50 concerts in London‘s O2 Arena, I believe he would still be alive today. During the last weeks and months of his life, Jackson made desperate attempts to prepare for the concert series scheduled for next month – a series that would have earned millions for the singer and his entourage, but which he could never have completed, not mentally, and not physically. Ailing: Michael Jackson may have worn a mask in public to protect his diseased lungs Michael knew it and his advisers knew it. Anyone who caught even a fleeting glimpse of the frail old man hiding beneath the costumes and cosmetics would have understood that the London tour was madness. For Michael Jackson, it was fatal. and that made it possible for me to write authoritatively last December that Michael had six months to live, a claim that, at the time, his official spokesman, Dr Tohme Tohme, called a ‗complete fabrication‘. The singer, he told the world, was in ‗fine health‘. Six months and one day later, Jackson was dead. Some liked to snigger at his public image, and it is true that flamboyant clothes and bizarre make-up made for a comic grotesque; yet without them, his appearance was distressing; with skin blemishes, thinning hair and discoloured fingernails. I had established beyond doubt, for example, that Jackson relied on an extensive collection of wigs to hide his greying hair. Shorn of their luxuriance, the Peter Pan of

Neverland cut a skeletal figure. More...24hr 'sober coach' was hired for Michael Jackson as desperate family brought in controversial 'Doc Hollywood' to save star Doctor: I saved Jackson from morphine overdose after TV interview in US Michael Jackson was due to move into 32-bed Kent manor house this weekend It was clear that he was in no condition to do a single concert, let alone 50. He could no longer sing, for a start. On some days he could barely talk. He could no longer dance. Disaster was looming in London and, in the opinion of his closest confidantes, he was feeling suicidal. To understand why a singer of Jackson‘s fragility would even think about travelling to London.

GI N EL LE BY DAVID C/ PUBLISHER Dancing, modelling and raising her children Aedin and Asceniah is her life for this twenty three old,‖ 5‖ ― 4‖ beauty. A strong, independent woman from the state of Pennsylvania. ―My mother wanted me to grow up strong, so she made me see that woman need to take care of themselves and not depend on anyone.‖ Deciding that modelling and dancing would be her career. ―So far I have accomplished that and gaining my self worth.‖ She said. I have a hard exterior. I am honest, sometimes brutally, but it doesn't make me a bitch. I like to laugh and wish I spent more time doing so. I put my heart into everything I do and I have a very open mind. Going to college was delayed due to the lack of money and transportation, but she hopes to finish her degree in the near future and achieve most of her life goals she has set for herself. As far as career goals go she isn‘t looking to be the next Tyra Banks but she would love to do more features for magazines. Still being twenty three there things she wants to accomplish like buying a motorcycle, going to Mardi Gras and owning a dance studio and her own home by the time she reaches thirty.

―I hope my future holds a lot. As a model that is only 5'4'' I know my career options are limited. Honestly, I just enjoy doing whatever work I am given. I definitely want to maintain professional appearance but I always want people to know I have sex appeal. ―She said. ―I started modelling at the age of 10 with a bullshit company. They asked my mother for $600 for a photo shoot. My mother paid them and no work came out of it. That was my first encounter with a bullshit company. There are so many scam companies out there and sometimes they are good at hiding who they are.‖ As a dancer and professional indoor football player she uses that to give back to her community giving her time and money. ―I believe that my work is a wonderful support system for me and the people I work with.‖ She said.

Balancing work, teaching and dancing can be tough. Now Ginelle has taken on a new adventure called ―Dusting Divas‖ a small home, business cleaning company her plans one day are for that to become a full time business though dancing is her life. ―I can‘t see being in a career that you don‘t love.‖ She said. ―People live their lives doing meaningless jobs for very low pay; I want to live comfortable and very happy doing what I love to do.‖ If you was to ask her what she likes most about working she would tell you that. ―As far as modelling, I like going through the final product. Some days you shoot for 6 hours and you go home an anxiously await the final result. Then you get that email or phone call and I am typically proud.‖ She said.

―As far as teaching dance, that's easy. My students give me moments where they got it! It all comes together on the dance floor. They do what I ask and they orchestrate it so well I just stand there and smile.‖ She has danced in music videos with rapper Freeway and also was a featured dancer in the video ―Grind Winters Out‖ with Paul Wall Working as a full-time dancer, also as a dance instructor teaching hip hop to ages 6-20. She also works on a professional dance team, as a club dancer in Atlantic City and Philadelphia. She loves watching movies with her children and cuddle time. Her family and friends come first in her life. Her daily workout is dancing for exercise though she joined a gym she hardly ever uses her membership. Travelling is a big part of her game she loves to see other countries and many cities here in the United States. ― I love visiting Cancun I went there with my mother when I was nineteen it was the most ―As far as dancing, I like the freedom remarkable place especially the night life.‖ She of freestyle. Still being twenty three there are a lot more goals she wants to accomplish like buying a motorcycle, going to Mardi Gras and own a dance studio by the time she reaches thirty. When asked what more she would to to make the world a better place she responded by saying ―I am tired of seeing people's world fall apart because of money so that is easy. I would give everyone just enough money to live comfortable. I think people deserve a nice home, food, clothes, and an occasional shopping spree. The rich should not stay rich while the poor stay poor.‖

RANEY...... LIFE OF A WRITER “THE DRAGON’S KISS” An inspiring novelist; however, currently I am a short storywriter. My current project is "The Dragon's Kiss", this book will evolve into a series or at least that is my long term goal. I use a title as my author name to eliminate the pressure of fantasy vs. reality. Reyna's Theory is my inner self taking time to express my internal thoughts. The thoughts are to project positive movement as well as central fantasies. My ultimate goal is for those who genuinely huddle within themselves and are fearful to be one-self freely to see that it is ok to express yourself creatively. I would like my readers to read my writing and feel as though they do not have to hide their inner thoughts because they are in fear of others not accepting them. "The Dragon's Kiss" is a multi story line. It is about a group of close friends getting together and learning about the secret life behind closed doors. Then there is a married partnership and how they empire an underground society so great that couples could express their desires without guilt or fear. This book will take you on a journey into very intimate details of a very wealthy couple and their servant. This servant merely seems as though she cooks and does housework, but lying deep within the secret is her quest to become a part of a world so divine with passion that you must earn each step, understand the undying power of truly loving your partner and doing anything to achieve the inner freedom. The underground society also has its own prevailing movement and it is discovering what that this will keep you reading.

I have danced around writing since I was 12. I started writing poetry and lyrics to express myself and have a creative outlet. As I read them as an adult, they make a whole lot of sense of what a teenager can go through. It is a journey of learning about me, expressing what I wanted others to hear, finding my place and using an outlet to express my experiences. I grew up in a family with three siblings. Both of my parents remarried and made my sibling count get much higher. I am the second youngest of the original four. I like to say the original four because despite half and step siblings they are titled my family no matter what! My writing took a turn from just poetry and song lyrics when a friend gave me a boring romance novel. I could barely force myself past the third chapter. Although the author of the book I read was credible, in my mind this didn't seem like the ideal fantasy in my mind. The transformation took a life of its own when I was 26 and has become a growing experience.

The birth of "The Dragon's Kiss" started out as a bunch of short erotic fantasies that I had harvested or heard others talk about. I was 28 when I began the book dream. I started a MYSPACE joining the rest of the world of networking. I posted my very first blog on Oct. 18, 2007 this was the introduction of "The Dragon's Kiss" to the internet world. Although, I was unsure of what was going to happen with the idea of Blogging my chapter's early stages I thought it would be neat to know what others thought. I continued to post and I had a lot of responses in comments but primarily in messages. Some of them told me that they feel like they are right there in the story. As a writer, I initially wanted to introduce the idea of a different kind of writing, I never knew that I could impact change by writing fantasy. I was really surprised to find that my writing could take a hold on a reader and they craved more. My blogs turned into readers emailing me and these emails grew into me giving advice to those who befriended me. They had real relationship and personal stories that they wanted to express and many of them inquired on how to introduce what I wrote about to their partner. I have given advice on situations and even written stories for individuals who really wanted something just for themselves.

SELF DEFENSE CONT: However, actions are not without consequences and those should be thought of. Indeed, if one were to kill enough innocent civilians, it is conceivable that they would rebel and attack America. This should be taken into consideration. However, those bleating about the ―innocent civilians‖ are not really interested in saving innocent civilians anyway. They are anti-war and they will point to any and all grisly parts of war in an attempt to stop it. This, the position of uninhibited self-defense, is the proper position of Objectivism. It is the proper response that is hinged upon advocating America's self-interest. Any position other than this regarding war is distinctly self-crippling. It would be a moral abomination to advocate any other position than one of unfettered selfdefense. America's soldiers, who are so bravely fighting for our freedom, must know that they have full right to go in and do what they need to do. Telling them they must avoid innocents, send aid to people, stop fighting on holidays, or anything else, basically sends them into a war zone with their left legs cut off. Our soldiers and military officials need to know that America is fully behind them and will support whatever they have to do to win the war and minimize as few of our casualties as possible.

The rejection of the initiation of force is not a primary. It is not an absolute law of reality. Freedom is conditional. It applies in peace time. In war time, however, different measures are needed for man's survival. The virtue of selfishness still applies, but its conclusions differ. Rational self-interest is no longer the conclusion; selfdefense is. "Nobody has to put up with aggression and surrender his right of selfdefense for fear of hurting somebody else, guilty or innocent. When someone comes at you with a gun, if you have one ounce of self-esteem, you will answer him by force, never mind who he is or who is behind him. If he is out to destroy you, that is what you owe to the sanctity of your own life." Ayn Rand Ford Hall Forum 1972: "A Nation's Unity"

CREATIVITY MAKES PEOPLE UNCOMFORTABLE BY: LISA JOSEPH

There's a lot to be said for new beginnings. I love new beginnings. One might say I live for new beginnings. There are always new friends to meet, new places to discover new projects to develop. It's the challenge of mystery, the exciting promise of a new adventure that draws me into the future. It's hard to imagine why some people live their lives in a straight jacket, afraid to move. At the very least, they conform to a self imposed stereotype. Too afraid to express themselves; reluctant to change, to try anything different, they expect others to do the same. Like racing down a turnpike with too many signs and far too many choices, we stream through life never sure where and when to stop and go. The human race has a history of being closed-minded. Traditions were handed down from generation to generation. We were taught what was "right" and "wrong", "true" and "false." We were taught what to think and what not to think. We were taught what to do and what not to do. Anyone straying away from the accepted norm was considered foolish. Struggling to make it all work, we pass through life frustrated with it all but more determined than ever to fit into the system that puts bread on the table and gives us purpose. Pity those who do not do that. They live in a special type of hell reserved for self pity and boredom. Rising to the occasion, we spend the day complaining about the way life should be and griping about the way it is, powerless to do more than that. Like it or not we are part of the big picture regardless of those who may want us to believe we have nothing to do with the outcome.

People have an innate desire and need to create. It is part of what makes us human. Once we have created an artistic work, there is usually an immense feeling of satisfaction and resolutiona feeling that we have "made a statement". During times of great euphoria or times of trauma, musicians compose and perform music in an attempt to describe feelings that cannot otherwise be expressed. Creativity makes the difference between an interesting, fulfilling life and one that is not. But creativity comes with a price. Creative people work at the edge of their competence. The possibility of failure is present but that is where they get the best results. Psychologists say genius is inseparable from failure. That may be true. Creativity tends to produce great quantities of mediocrity. The difference between success and failure is when creative people produce and keep producing work without giving up. That's when they achieve their vision. As a song shouldn't have to be explained and it's up to the listener to figure out what it means, Ludwig von Beethoven arguably the most influential composer of all time, changed The voice of classical music. Influenced by political tensions that ravaged Europe in the wake of the French Revolution, his genius produced something so unique that it caused many people to dislike him. He provoked emotional fury and frantic applause wherever he went: That made people uncomfortable.

Insane Clown Posse's Juggalos Aren't a Gang - Just Punk Kids BY: JASON ABDOO

Woop-woop. Walking around Metrocenter in an Insane Clown Posse shirt, I hear the sound every few minutes. Kids, don't know, teenagers with tilted ball caps, most of them not wearing ICP shirts but all greeting my 28year-old ass with the universal call of the Juggalo, just for wearing something I bought at Hot Topic 10 minutes earlier. Woop-woop. In case you're unaware, Juggalos are fans of ICP, a Detroit-bred rap duo with KISS-like face-paint and ludicrously profane lyrics. The band has a massive underground following, particularly in their native Midwest, as well as Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. Metrocenter is one of Phoenix's two main Juggalo hangouts; the other being the Monstar Shop at Camelback Road and 35th Avenue. Mall security, shopkeepers, and other kids revile Juggalos, and it's easy to see why: They're grubby, selfproclaimed white trash with lip rings, baggy black jeans, chain wallets, and dirty goatees. Many are un- or under-employed. They smoke poorly constructed rollies to the stub and yell curse words at passing cars. In the interest of full disclosure, this was not my first time wearing an ICP shirt.

The last time I wore one was 10 years ago, in Ohio, where I'm from — and it was not a big deal. We went to shows, wearing the shirts and face-paint, carrying the distinctive three liters of Faygo soda that Juggalos drink. The concerts were fantastic: violent, sexually depraved rhymes rapped over dumpy beats, with a bunch of sketchy dudes moshing and heavily tattooed girls — usually a little sloppy in the face — flashing. At age 17, who wouldn't love it? I never would've imagined such activities getting me photographed by a gang task force, but that's just what happens to some Juggalos in Arizona. Donna Monahan is a Juggalo but says she is not a member of a gang, though authorities have sometimes said otherwise. Monahan, 28, with two kids, works at the Monstar Shop the store specializes in clothing bearing the CONTINUED ON PAGE 34

Juggalo’s continued: hatchet man logo of ICP's Psychopathic Records and also serves as a recording studio, concert venue, and gathering place for Juggalos not in the mallrat scene. One night a few years back, she was leaving a party in Tucson when she got pulled over for not signalling a turn. The cop quickly told her he was more interested in the red hachetman logo on her back window. They took her picture for inclusion in a gang registry. "He thought I was in a gang — those were the first words out of his mouth," she says. "He said a hatchet man on your car was just as bad as a sticker that said Crips or Bloods. It's stupid. I'm not going to say Juggalos never do anything wrong. There are idiots who do, and I'm probably friends with some of them . . . But a gang?" Yet the gang myth persists in law enforcement and the news media. In June, the East Valley Tribune, my employer at the time, ran a story about Juggalos under the headline, "Gang, residents clash at Mesa meeting." Two months later, the Trib ran a bigger story, this one on the cover. A blaring headline asked: "Fans or gang? Meet the Juggalos." Despite the interrogative headline, not one of the half-dozen law enforcement officers quoted said they personally think Juggalos are a gang. Yet they have a category in the

When the Army Acts like the Police By Amber Pawlik Both Ralph Nader and Michael Moore were on The O‘reilly Factor this week saying to deal with terrorism, they would target Osama bin Laden. Rejecting the invasion of Afghanistan, Moore said he ―would have gone after the man that killed 3,000 people.‖ Ralph Nader said on O‘reilly, July 26, 2004: ―OK, 9/11 happens. What do you got to do? You got to go after the backers of the attackers, because the attackers are no more. They committed suicide. So you go after them under the doctrine of hot pursuit. It's very important to do this under international law, which allows us, with other nations, to send commandos, spies and bribes to zero in on wherever we think the backers are.‖What the left wants our military to do, and O‘Reilly called Ralph Nader on it, is to act like a police force. A friend of mine made an excellent point once. He told me about Randy Weaver, the man whose wife son and dog were killed by federal agents, after they invaded his property over a minor firearms charge (in which they entrapped Weaver). That was on August 21, 1992. Not much longer after this was Waco, in which the government invaded a private complex in military like fashion. Even after this was the case of Elian Gonzalez, in which a 6 yr old boy was taken from his home at gunpoint. My friend made the point: the police are starting to act like an army. The left wants the police to act like an army and the army to act like the police. This should frighten Americans. A government whose police acts like an army and army acts like the police is one that will invade its own people but leave them defenseless against foreign enemies.

How justice is served is answered by philosophy (and reality always delivers mounds of proof to verify correct conclusions). How governments organize themselves is based on the entity‘s involved (men or nations) nature and self -interest. Among individual men, a government should govern them, and disputes should be handled by going through a legal process, i.e. the two men cannot take justice in their own hands. If men lived in anarchy, forced to essentially be their own protective government, they would turn into thugs at the mercy of any roaming gang. We would revert to primitivism and nothing would ever be built, invented or produced, as long term planning would be impossible. Among nations, no such ruling entity should exist. Whereas man would die and stagnate if protecting his own life was in his hands, a nation would perish if protecting its own borders wasn‘t in its own hands. A nation, an entire collection of men living under the same government, is capable of raising a force to protect itself. To live under a higher government would do nothing but leave it vulnerable. The left wants to pervert this. Ask yourself why. Who benefits if a government, such as the United States, is cut off at the knees, unable to take out other malignant regimes, but has the ability to invade its own citizens with 400 agents over a minor charge? Alongside with other file- hosting services like Bit Torrent, in the recent years Rapid share has been successfully increasing its user base. The site ranks among the 50 most visited websites worldwide, having millions of guests each month. Again alongside with other file-sharing services, it hosts a great variety of movies and music material uploaded to the website without the permission of the copyright owners. This has already caused several lawsuits brought up by copyright owners – for example, the last verdict to Rapid share was to filter several hundreds of book titles in order to avoid such penalties as huge fines and jail time It has never been a secret that most people use Rapid share as one of the best ways to distribute copyrighted files, having been remained untouched. That all lasted until recently, when some users started to complain about their accounts being terminated for copyright infringement. It really looks like the service decided to concentrate on users sharing copyrighted content, and at least Rapid share doesn‘t deny it. Undoubtedly, the reason for such termination policy is an increasing pressure coming from copyright owners, and may easily lead to decision of many users to move over to some other file-sharing services.

A spokesperson for Rapid share has confirmed the process of terminating accounts of those users who proved to distribute illegal content. As far as you remember from the service policy, they have the right to block accounts of users not respecting their terms and condition. There‘s also some information appearing about scan emails being sent, but yet nobody can verify it. Nevertheless, even without verification it‘s not difficult to understand that something has definitely changed inside Rapid share, and this will result in something, too. The only visible sign of outcome is terminating users‘ accounts. We‘ll see what‘s going to follow. Over 100 arrested in Internet crime sweep More than 100 people was arrested in the largest global crackdown to date on identity theft, hacking and other Internetbased crimes, U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft said on Thursday, Reuters reports. The arrests followed a three-month investigation into a range of crimes from reselling co-workers' Social Security numbers to disabling Web sites, Ashcroft said. The crackdown, dubbed "Operation Web Snare," involved some 150,000 victims who lost more than $215 million, Ashcroft said, adding that 53 people had already been convicted. Nevertheless, officials acknowledged that the operation represents only a fraction of the crimes being committed on the Internet. Identity theft alone costs the U.S. businesses more than $50 billion a year, Ashcroft said.

Ransom ware ? Your money or your files Imagine someone getting access to your computer, encrypting all your family photos and other priceless files, and then demanding a ransom for their safe return. That is what ransom ware is all about. Ransom ware is a type of malware used for data kidnapping and it takes your data hostage by encrypting it using supposedly unbreakable encryption algorithms and then demands payment in exchange for the decryption key. Ransom ware works in various ways and demands different ransoms. One ransom ware Trojan searched a victim's hard disk drive for 15 common file types, including images and Microsoft Office file types. It then encrypted the files, removed the originals and dropped a note asking $200 for the encryption key. Another piece of ransom ware froze a victim's system and threatened to delete files every 30 minutes until an amount of $10.99 was sent to a particular account.

Jackson's Restaurant is open from 8 am to closing Tuesday thru Sunday serving Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. The Restaurant is also available for functions such as Showers, Weddings, Anniversaries, Graduations, Holiday Gatherings, Mercy Meals, etc. The restaurant was designed in the contemporary style , with a generous seating capacity with delightful views. A comfortable dining experience, with a variety of lunch and dinner meals. History of the Restaurant: Two friends who returned from WWII founded the “Sky-port Diner” in the 1940’s. They named their small eatery after the seaplane air port located in the adjacent lot, and soon became famous for fried clams and ice cream. Business flourished and the Sky-port became a landmark in Methuen, a place to grab a bite while watching the planes take off and land on the Merrimack River. This was before TV was commonplace. Peoples had find creative ways to entertain themselves! The original owners sold the Sky-port in the 1970's, but its reputation for delicious fried seafood and plane watching remained. The diner also became a popular stop for truck drivers traveling Route 110 in their rigs. The Dubois family purchased the restaurant in 1981 and began a series of renovations completely changing the look of the restaurant. The name and image changed as well. It was renamed Jackson's Restaurant, after an earlier pizza shop the Dubois family had owned, and it became a full-fledged family oriented restaurant, no longer a small diner for truckers stopping for lunch. Jackson's has also garnered a reputation for functions, and has become a popular spot where brides-to-be have showers and rehearsal dinners. The seaplane airport has moved a bit further down the river. However, Jackson's still takes advantage of its beautiful location along the Merrimack. Many request window seats to enjoy the views of boaters, water skiers and families of ducks. Patrons also enjoy alfresco dining on the deck along the river. Today, the Dubois family, Leo, Susan, Gary, Glenn, Ellen and Sheila, are all involved in the daily operations of the restaurant. Today restaurant goers can enjoy a variety of meals or appetizers choose from such as Baked Mushroom Caps with Seafood Stuffing, or try their Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with Cocktail Sauce.

MICHELLE OBAMA’S STYLE SHAKES UP WASHINGTON

First ladies have long been known for boxy suits, classic colors and ultraluxe pearls. But not Michelle Obama. As she moved into the White house this week and twirled her way through inaugural balls, the style agenda was clear: young, trendy and extremely new. "Michelle's not someone who wants to be trapped in a box wearing a suit and sensible heels," Robin Givhan, longtime fashion editor for The Washington post, tells Life & Style. "Her clothes PATRIOTISM: “United We Stand, Divided We Fall” As the Iraq conflict began to fuel heated debates, many of the supporters for war began waving bigger flags, while protesters traded their flags for anti-war signs. Both sides described themselves as patriots. represent a generational shift."

The dictionary defines patriotism as one’s love for their country. But how many hours a day did they practice love for their country? The most familiar practice is displaying the American flag.. Patriotism and flags have a bond through times of war. Once used as a symbol to show soldiers that their leader is still alive and inspired them to keep fighting. Patriotism continues to surge when the country has a threat of war. Everyone knows the worth of strength against outside threats. If a bully attacks you and your friends, you set aside your differences and stand as one. It’s expected that your friends jump in and help you. When they don’t help, you begin to feel betrayed. “I love my country,” is another way of saying “Every American in trouble is my buddy. Flying a flag makes a statement, building unity by making visible our togetherness. When you approach something blindly it carries a risk. I read a statement that sums it up best. Patriotism means to stand by your country, it doesn’t mean to stand by your president or any public official. We live in a democracy, where every American has a say in making rules, and choosing their own leaders. All Americans have the freedom to pursue our own lives, as long as we don’t hurt others. These rules apply to each and every one of us, regardless of what color we are or what our beliefs may betaken seriously we have the duty to vote for example. If this country belongs to us, no one is exempt from his or her responsibility to help run it. Expressing our opinions is not just a right, it’s an obligation. But can any nation deal with a hundred million backseat drivers telling our leaders how to drive and where to go? I believe this would weaken our unity. History has other lessons on this touchy subject. Consider this, the case of the ancient Roman Empire and it’s contentious government. If strength comes from efficiency, how did the Roman Empire survive for so long?

―NOW THAT WE HAVE HEALTHCARE REFORM LET‘S GET A HEALTH FOOD REFORM‖ BY: ALBERTO CARABELIO Now that the health care bill has passed the congress, it looks to start a new era of the way the USA takes care of our citizens. Still the bill can not stop America‘s health problems. There is a problem with race and health in this country. Still, there are large disparities in other areas of health between Blacks and whites. Black people are three times more likely to have a stroke and three times more likely to have diabetes than white people. One of the major issues that divide African Americans and whites, in terms of health, is access to healthy food. Many of the health issues that African Americans suffer from come from bad diets. African Americans are 50% more likely to suffer from hypertension or high blood pressure, which, along with diabetes and strokes, is caused by bad diets. Obesity is a major problem for America‘s health care system. Treating obesity costs $147 billion dollars a year, almost 10% of annual medical costs. According to a recent study, 36% of African Americans are obese, compared to 24% of whites. A lot of African American obesity problems come from traditional diets and lack of knowledge about what a good diet is. Another problem for African Americans is lack of options for healthy food. In many urban African American neighborhoods, there are plenty of options for fast food, but not that many options for healthy food. A study from the University of Pittsburgh came to the conclusion: Without access to supermarkets, which offer a wide variety of foods at lower prices, poor and minority communities may not have equal access to the variety of healthy food choices available to non-minority and wealthy communities. While health food trends like, fruit smoothies, turkey burgers, and tossed salads and healthy supermarkets, like Trader Joe‘s and Whole Foods have been popping up in upper class, trendy neighborhoods, they are hard to find in the working class, minority neighborhoods. Many minority neighborhoods are filled with corner stores that offer snacks, candy and very few options for health food. Soda and drinks with high fructose corn syrup are in abundance in many of these stores, while natural juices are hard to find and expensive. A recent study by Horowitz found that only 18% of bodegas, or small grocery stores, in a minority neighborhood carried a selection of healthy foods compared with 58% of similar stores in a predominantly white area. CONTINUED ON PAGE 42

HEALTH FOOD REFORM CONT: Fast food and junk food companies are constantly marketing themselves directly to Black people. Chains like Popeye‘s, KFC and McDonalds spend a lot of advertising money to make sure Black people keep on buying their unhealthy products. If we are truly to fix health care, we cannot just focus on treating diseases, we also must prevent them. Making sure every citizen has the opportunity to maintain a balanced, healthy diet should be a priority in whatever health care bill that the government passes. Tax breaks should be given to businesses that offer healthy alternatives and chains that only sell fatty, unhealthy foods should be taxed for revenue to fund health care. We also need to educate children about the importance of having a healthy diet. PSA‘s like The Truth anti-smoking campaign should be used to keep people away from eating unhealthy foods. Students should be given culinary classes and home economics classes that encourage a healthy, balanced diet. There are a lot of options for healthy, nutritious, tasty foods out there. Unfortunately a lot of these foods are limited to the rich, and are far out of reach for many people in Black neighborhoods. If these options were given to all people, our health care system would have less of a burden and all people would be happier and healthier. The fast food s system in America is in need of an overhaul, not unlike the auto industry. Just like health care should be right for every American, access to health food should be too. Politicians need to encourage businesses that promote healthy foods and tax businesses that serve food that is unhealthy. Many of the problems that burden our health care system come directly from unhealthy foods and bad diets. If the American people ate better foods and had better diets, the biggest cost of health care on the economy could be greatly lowered and we would have a happier, healthier, more active country.

―AM I EMOTIONAL ABOUT EATING BY: ALLYSA CARDILLO I can‘t believe that after all these years I had no indication of this. How could I have been so clueless to something that directly affected me. I was/am an emotional eater. One would think that the sudden desire to Devour 3 slices of pie back to back with a tall glass of milk when I‘m bored would have led me in that direction. However, I was clueless. All, I did know was whenever I am experiencing the emotions of being upset, bored or sad, you can also throw hungry in the mix. Yeah it is that kind of party for me ladies. So much so, that I still battle overeating daily. To top it off, I love to eat. I genuinely love food. I love food with extra flavors, spices, and juices. I love the feeling of a full stomach followed by a good nap after wards. Yeah I said it! God help me if it is that time of the month. The refrigerator door and my hand is glued together for that week. Overeating is an issue that affects 1 in every 100 women in this country. ―Aww that doesn‘t sound like a lot to me LJ‖. Oh, but it is. Especially when you think about the fact that for every 5 women there is 1 men. In other words, there are more men than women on this lovely plant we are spinning on. The other causes of overeating are as follows: * Unemployment * Financial pressure * Health problems * Relationship conflicts * Work stress * Bad weather * Fatigue With that being said, how can we combat this gluttony epidemic? That, even I do not have a clear and straightforward answer to. In my case, I often overeat when I am bored so what works is when I find something to occupy my time as I find that the busier I am the less my mind is free to wonder about a Chicago stuffed Leona‘s pizza slice or a thoroughly dipped Italian Beef with peppers on the side (God! I miss Chicago‘s food). Another route would be to go to the route of your problems as overeating is also a direct result of stress, or worry. If you need to see someone, to talk about your problems or issues then do so. Speaking to a counselor, psychiatrist, psychologist, Reverend, does not make you a nutcase contrary to popular urban opinion. Everyone needs someone to talk to express their emotions and concerns to. Even the strongest woman/man. Another way would be to identify your emotional eating trigger. If you are someone who eats when you are angry with someone then the first step is realizing that. This will help you in recognizing that emotion when your experience it. In other words if you are angry with your man then before you reach for that 2 pound bag of Cheetos STOP and think about what you are doing. Try not to allow yourself to sulk in the moment. I am not saying that you should not be upset. CONTINUED : PAGE 44

EMOTIONAL CONT: Just try not to immerse yourself in that feeling and in the bag of Cheetos. Here are four other maneuvers in preventing emotional eating: # Step Two: Recognize Hunger Signals Learn How # Step Three: Limit Trigger Foods Simply stop stocking your fridge and pantry with the foods you binge on. # Step Four: Don‘t Skip Meals Skipping meals almost always leads to over -eating. # Step Five: Create Alternatives to Eating Whether it‘s a bubble bath or curling up with a good book, planning other activities will help you relax and avoid binges. Lastly, remember, you are not alone. There is no over night cure for over eating of any kind. It will take time and dedication on your part to be a healthy eater and a person that handles emotions in a healthy manner. What do you say? Let‘s put that third slice of cheesecake down together! And where is the damn gym?

“CAN YOU GET IN SHAPE IN 7 DAYS‖ Swimsuit season is here and pretty much everybody is beginning their quest to develop their beach body. Just yesterday, one of my classes was double it‘s normal size. Last week, one of my students told me she was giving herself four weeks to get in shape, and another said she‘s going out of town next week and wants to see some results by then. ―Only one week?‖ I thought to myself, but I can‘t control people‘s desires, I can only offer advice and help them. Seven days isn‘t much, but I gave her a few things to try which may help her achieve something in that period of time. Exercise Of course, exercise is a must, but it‘s the type of exercise that matters. The goal is to fire up the metabolism, and long, slow paced jogs simply won‘t do the trick. My suggestion was interval training – tabata style. This method involved 20 seconds of all out 120% effort followed by 10 seconds of rest. This cycle is to be 8 times, for a total of four minutes. Following the sprints, bodyweight exercises can be performed in a similar fashion – push ups, squats and burpees, giving a total of 16 minutes. Granted, 16 minutes doesn‘t seem like much, but by the end of the session, you will feel so wiped out that you will think you worked out for an hour.

Sleep Sleep plays a key role in losing weight. Research shows that sleep deprivation triggers the release of a hormone that inhibits the production of leptin – a hormone which inhibits hunger – and simultaneously increases ghrelin production. Ghrelin has the opposite effect of leptin – it sends hunger signals to the brain. If you are serious about losing weight, get some shuteye. No more late night talk shows and video gaming (I‘m guilty of that one, too.) Diet Like the old axiom goes, you are what you eat. Leave Burger King alone. You can't have it your way in both the food and the looks department – it's one or the other. In order to lose weight, you must burn more calories than you consume, and fast food is high in calories and fat. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies and lean sources of protein, such as tuna, salmon or chicken breast. Getting is shape should be a lifelong pursuit, but we must begin somewhere, with the tiniest step. Perhaps a seven day shape up is just what some people need.

BILLY‘S WORDS THE MAKING OF LAWTOWN VOICES FOR HAITI

Hi, I am Bylli Crayone (Pronounced: Billy Kray-OH-nay). Founder and Project Coordinator or the LawTown Voice Charity project. February 1st, 2010 I was reading about the "We Are The World" (2010) remake. I remember back in 1985 when the first "We Are The World" took place. Everyone went straight to the recording studio after leaving the Grammy Awards to record what is now one of the biggest charity singles ever. It was written by Michael Jackson (RIP) and Lionel Richie and produced by Quincy Jones. For 2010, Many of todays stars are getting together to record the 25th Anniversary remake. A brand new recording of a classic song. Only this time proceeds are going to Haiti instead of Africa. So, it got me thinking... I live in Lawrence, MA and there is a lot of talent in this city. I know many of the artists and I know they take their craft seriously. Its not like its a bunch of "wannabes" but a bunch of seriously motivated artists. So I called one of them "Drama" (Boston Music Award nominee) and asked him what he thought about a bunch of us locals getting together to record a charity single and have all proceeds go to Haiti. He liked the idea and I said good, then I am going with it. So I reached out to other local artists from Lawrence, MA including Darion Skye, Erin Marie, Da chief, Son Child and so on. All the artists who I have spoke to are all for it. So

The next day, February 2nd, I contacted the American Red Cross in hopes of working with them to have the proceeds forwarded to Haiti through them. Contracts were immediately in the mail on their way to me. It was very easy to do. Well, later that day I met with a local activist named Isabel Melendez. She informed me that as much as she would like to help support my cause she and her committee would not be able to because they have their own organization for Haiti. The only way possible was to join theirs. So we had a meeting and she broke it all down to me and she made lots of great points. One of the key points that I loved was. All the financial donations received were then used to BUY items such as food, tents, appliances, etc and then shipped off to Haiti. I loved the idea and I saw with my own eyes all the merchandise this organization has raised. So much that the city of Lawrence gave them a old school to use as their office / facility. Every class room has boxes and boxes of clothes, bottled water, diapers and so on. I was impressed. That's when I decided to be a part of that organization. I loved the way they were doing things. Not only that, but its part of Lawrence (my hometown) and that where it all starts at home. So as previously stated. I must clear now, I am NOT working with The American Red Cross, but with "Comite Pro Ayuda a Haiti" instead.

February 5th Today, after our meeting she said that she loves what I am doing and offered me a room at the school to have my meetings in. Which I am totally grateful for. So on Friday, at 7pm (2/5/10) we had out first meeting to discuss the charity single. Many artists from the city (more than expected) showed up to this meeting. Many were meeting each other for the first time. At the meeting we also had a photographer and a film production documenting the whole thing on video. At one point I said "Let the meeting begin". Everyone took a seat as I began to speak. I talked about my plan and my vision. Everyone was impressed and wanted to be a part of it. I gave each of the artists the opportunity to stand and speak about them self, who they are what they have done musically, and why they came to the meeting. Some were confused and didn't really understand it when reading about it on myspace and facebook. They came more out of curiosity. Well, I guess they liked what they heard. Every single artists who showed up decided they wanted to take part in the event. When I was done speaking I asked if anyone had questions, funny enough, like a student to the teacher, people were raising hands asking me all kinds of questions which I was more than happy to answer. How will the song be released says one. I replied, it will be available as CD, DVD and Digitally through sites like iTunes and Amazon. Another artists said, "Only Bylli Crayone could pull something like this together". I bowed my head and said Thank you. Another artist also complimented my drive in fact, I don't remember what was said, but it got me emotional, I even started to choke up and cry for a second. I was told after the meeting that others were feeling the vibe and could totally relate to my emotional moment. They felt it to.

Days after the meeting, I did quite a few radio interviews and I was being told the same thing over and over again. LawTown Voice (The voices of Lawrence, MA) was going to be put on the map as a positive thing for this city. It makes me proud to know that I was the one who had an idea and decided to follow through with it. It just goes to show that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. February 12th-At today's meeting more artists arrived to participate in this project. We now have exactly 20 artists from Lawrence, MA involved. This is Amazing! Also, to my surprise, when I arrived at the meeting a camera crew from LCAT was there ready to film and interview all the artists who showed up at tonight's meeting. I am very Thankful for their support. I was not expecting them to come to this meeting but very glad they did. They got to see first hand what's going on at these meetings while filming. CONTINUED NEXT PAGE:

Isabel Melendez came in for a few minutes to congratulate me on the success of the whole project so far. I feel so lucky to have a friend like her. She is very supportive and believes in my project 100%. One thing I am very proud about is the fact that local rap star DraMatik gave me props today while being interviewed for TV and the DVD Documentary. We go back about 11 years. I followed his music and I guess he follows mine too. The funny thing is, we are from two separate worlds completely. Our common ground is the music. Much respect to Dre. You made my day man! Lastly, its now 5:17am on the morning of Saturday, the 13th as I write this. I am on the phone with Alex Guillermo who runs INSIGHT STUDIO in Manchester, NH where we will be recording the song. We are all very excited about this. I will be going to the studio myself on Sunday to check things out and hear how the music is coming along. Then on the 20th, all the artists are going to the recording studio to lay their vocals down on this amazing charity single. February 19th, 2010-We had a photo shoot at the Lawrence, MA City Hall. We also got to meet the Mayor William Lantigua and had our pic taken with him and we also did an interview with him for the website. February 20th, 2010-The Charity single "TRUST AND BELIEVE" has been recorded !! Yesterday, February 20th, many local Lawrence, MA recording artists came together to record the Charity single "TRUST AND BELIEVE". The recording was an all day process and every artist involved was amazing. Singers and rappers it all came together beautifully. Many are well known names in the city and for some this was their first time ever in the recording studio. The overall project took on a life of its own as all the pieces came together instantly. Something that made me really proud was seeing how the more established artists assisted the new comers with song writing and motivation. I really wish I could put into words how I feel right now. 4 weeks ago when this idea first popped into my head. I questioned it, thinking would I actually be able to pull this off? Getting many artists together, writing a song and recording it. Would ego's get in the way? Would people drop out last minute? Would the song even sound good? Sure, I had tons of questions and thoughts, but you know what? I went with it. I took it upon myself to try to at least make this happen. the funny thing is, at the first meeting someone said "Only Bylli Crayone could make this happen". I will never forget that. Since last night, I have received many emails from the artists involved and they all say the same thing... Thank You. It makes me feel good to know that my work is appreciated and that everyone can see my vision. Its like someone said before at one of the meetings... If it can happen to Haiti, it can happen to us. We are all human and its our duty to assist those who need our help. You all know if it happened to you, you would want help too.
