Hythe ECG has offered to help the Hythe Festival organisers with litter picking after some of the festival events. The Hythe Festival is going to be a huge event this year and we would really like to be able to give some assistance. Below are the dates, times and venues we have offered to help with : Saturday 7th July

7p.m

Hythe Green

Sunday 8th July

7p.m

Hythe Green

Sunday 15th July

6.30p.m

Oaklands Park

Each of these should only take about 1/2 hour to 1 hour of your time, the more volunteers we have the quicker it will be. Thank you to all those who have already volunteered your help following the 1st email. As we are now closer to the festival date and have defined timings, there maybe others of you who now feel you could help, please let us know asap so we can let the Festival organisers know how many volunteers we have. All equipment ( gloves, bags, litter pick sticks) will be provided.

I am researching the history of Tynwald House in Hillside Street Hythe and would be most grateful if you could pass on anything you may know about the property. It is now a residential home for the elderly but has been a private dwelling in the past with owners such as Admiral Hall-Thomson and Charles Dynely Twopeny who was Mayor of Hythe between 1919-1922. Thank you. david@davidcowell.net 7
