The Hythe in Bloom brings colour back to the town! Hythe in Bloom operates under the auspices of Hythe Civic Society and, since 2004, it has worked hard to provide summer and winter floral displays in and around Hythe, including tubs in the High Street and railing-mounted troughs in Prospect Road. After delays owing to the cold weather in May, the tubs in the High Street are again full of flowers - planted-up by volunteers - and the troughs are in place in Prospect Road, so Hythe is ready for another colourful summer. The multi-colour scheme will look wonderful! The usual team of hard-working volunteers is in place to water the tubs throughout the season and, with their help, the High Street will be bursting with colour until the autumn.

Contributions to the project in cash or kind have been received from many sources, including: Hythe Civic Society, Hythe Town Council, Chocolate Deli and Twenty Four. Commercial sponsors who have made generous contributions this year are: Lawrence and Co Estate Agents, Gopak and Charlier Construction.

Hythe in Bloom Organiser, Sally Chesters, said: ‘Despite the delays because of the cold weather in May, everything is now in place. Hythe is full of colour and we look forward to seeing lots of visitors. This year’s ‘staycations’ will, we hope, bring lots more visitors to Hythe and we are confident that they will like what they see. Here’s to a colourful summer ahead!’
