Specialty of Premium Cigars Brands
By : David Dadson “ Cigar smoking is about the pursuit of pleasure, taste, and aroma."
It has always been fascinating to see actors in classics smoke one of those big cigars showing off their masculinity with great élan. Begun in the form of simply tying tobacco leaves together to enjoy the flavors, cigar smoking soon turned into a class statement that brimmed with sophistication, personality and luxury. Manufacturing :
While cigars are both handmade and machine manufactured, it’s the former that forms the unanimous choice of cigar lovers. After all, the choicest of cigars are the fruits of patience and dedication. It begins with curing where the select handpicked tobacco leaves are harvested in controlled temperatures and humidity. This process helps reduce the water and sugar content in the tobacco leaves.
While the tobacco leaves generally undergo the process of curing for 2545 days, the duration is often determined based on the kind of tobacco and the leaf color desired. Once the leaves are cured they are then allowed to ferment where the leaves dry in a controlled environment. The controlled environment is to ensure that the leaves ferment but don’t rot. This is exactly the stage when the tobacco develops its distinct flavors and aroma. Following the fermentation is the process of segregating the leaves as wrapper, binder or filler. This process can take several weeks within which the leaves are constantly moistened to guard the leave from drying out completely. Once the leaves are selected they then undergo the process of being rolled and stuffed. Each roll is carefully made to ensure that the measurements are accurate and the cigars are neither over stuffed nor under stuffed with tobacco.
After rolling the cigar are then placed in boxes called humidors where they stay moistened and age slowly. The older a cigar is, the better its flavors are. The best and highest quality cigars are usually made by blending varieties of tobacco together.
