Successful fundraising for Three Measures
Getting Started After spending a few months laying the groundwork for Three Measures, we officially kicked things off in January with a few discipleship groups. We're working with some of our past students from Community Hope School and running a Saturday night group for young adults in the community.
Pray for workers to come join us in Namibia

Special Dates Hope Club: This is our Saturday night discipleship program for Katutura's young adults
The Big Picture As you may know, our mission in Katutura is to reach the community physically, socially and spiritually by planting and empowering development minded churches in the area. These new discipleship groups are the first step in our church planting efforts. We are also busy connecting with existing churches in the area to build relationships and see how we can help mobilize the existing Christians in the area toward development. It is so exciting to see what God has done and we couldn't be happier about the Katutura, Namibia opportunities He has provided. Please keep Three Measures in your prayers as we continue to build our foundation here in Namibia.

Almost Arrested... Keep Praying Still no word on our work permit renewals even though we applied in August of last year and our current permits expired in October. We're allowed to stay in the country while we wait for approval, but if we come across an immigration road block, we're at the mercy of the official there. In December we were stopped by an officer who did not fully understand our Please keep praying for our work permits! situation. We were very nearly arrested, but were eventually let go by a supervisor who was able to straighten it out. Please pray that home affairs will get our visas processed soon and that we will get the favorable response we expect. Coming Up We have a couple of special things coming up in the next few months. First, at the end of March we will host our second team from our alma mater, Central Christian College of the Bible (CCCB). We always look forward to visitors from CCCB! Then, in April, we will be taking a Discipleship Training School to northern Namibia for an outreach in a remote village. We also plan to take them to visit Asser Kavetu and the church we helped plant in 2002 in Otjimuhaka. It will be great to visit him and see how things are going there. Family
We have some good news to share and a special prayer request. First of all, we received some special onetime gifts in January and we were able to put much needed new tires on our truck. We also received a good raise from our church in Colorado which brings us closer to our goal than we've been before! Feeling good about hitting our goal this year, which is important now that we have our own ministry this year. We are really praying to find churches and individuals who can help us reach 100%. This brings us to our prayer request... We have applied for support from a specific church in Missouri with a strong missions focus. We would like you all to pray for a positive response from this church. We have good relationships with many in the church and we believe it would be a big blessing (even beyond the finances) to be one of their supported missions. So, to sum up our current support situation, we are currently $835 monthly short of our 2013 budget. Please consider joining the work of Three Measures here in Namibia. If you would like to help us get back up to budget return the included response card or contact us at: support@davidandsandy.org.
