Building Community A church, in its most basic form, is simply a community of believers living life and following Christ together. As we began Three Measures back in January, our first mission was to establish that sort of community. We have been working with a group of young adults over the past ten months and we are truly beginning to see things come together!

Committed to God, Committed to Each Other… Our goal has been to see people grow deeper in their commitment to Christ and to build a true sense of commitment to the community. God has been doing this among us as our Saturday night meeting has grown into a Bible study, a social evening and a tennis club. These weekly events have acted as a catalyst for building deep relationships that now transcend the programs. We are so excited to see how God is knitting these young men and women together and we believe He is preparing a foundation for the continued work of Three Measures. Pikes Peak Christian Church Visits We were so excited to receive a team from Pikes Peak Christian Church (PPCC) in October! This is the church David grew up in, so it was a special joy to have them here. The team of five, including Pastor Darrin, Julie, Dave, Anne and Luann (David’s mom) did a great job representing Christ in Katutura. Thank you so much for coming to see what God is doing in Namibia!
New Wheels! We have been praying for awhile now for a second vehicle so Sandy can get around while David is busy with ministry in Katutura. God answered those prayers last month when the PPCC team came with a special gift that allowed us to purchase a 2008 Nissan March. Sandy is very excited! And in Family News… We're Having a Baby! We are so excited to share with everyone that Sandy is pregnant again and we’re going to have another little boy! Sandy is currently 18 weeks along and the little guy is looking good.
Support We have received a bit more monthly support since we last wrote. We are so thankful to all of you who support this ministry! The year is nearing an end and we're still a bit short on our goal of full support by 2014. We are really praying to find churches and individuals who can help us reach that goal.
So, to sum up our current support situation, we are currently $730 monthly short of our 2013 budget. Please consider joining the work of Three Measures here in Namibia.
