New Beginnings As you just read, we have a lot of new things going on. We are in the same community, but are finally ready to kick off the new church planting/community development ministry, Three Measures. We plan to have discipleship groups going by the end of September; please pray for these groups as they are the foundation for our church planting efforts. We are also tentatively planning to begin a skill training course as early as January. Pray for the planning and preparation of this school, especially for wisdom and direction as we David & Sandy in the new plan what to teach, how to go about it and Three Measures office who should attend. We are very excited about what is coming & we hope you are too. For more information about Three Measures visit the new website at www.3measur.es or davidandsandyechols.blogspot.com.

Support

Furlough We realy enjoyed being able to spend time with so many of our family members, friends and partners in the USA over the last few months. It was also a blessing to visit with the churches who are behind this ministry. You are all amazing! Thank you to everyone who shared a meal with us or Reese meeting his namesake gave us a place to stay during the (Mr. & Mrs. Reese) in Missouri visit. Look forward to seeing you all again 2014.

We would like to give a big thank you to those who responded to the one time needs listed on our last newsletter. Thanks to a couple of generous people we were able to replace David's broken laptop while we were in the US. Also, we are well on our way in furnishing the Three Measures office. Thank you!

Work Permit

More good news, throughout the course of our furlough we had some more people commit to monthly support, bringing us closer to our needed level. Thank you again! We also have a couple of churches in Missouri considering joining the support team.

Our first week back in Namibia was a busy one, working to get our work permit renewal application turned in to Home Affairs. Our current permit expires next month and we are asking for prayer for a quick response from home affairs without any complications.

Unfortunately while we were Stateside we also lost $500 of monthly support due to people losing jobs. This has dropped us below the support level that we were at before furlough.

The Echols Family

Please consider joining the work of Three Measures here in Namibia. If you would like to help us get back up to budget return the included response card or contact us at: support@davidandsandy.org.

Our family is doing well and we are really enjoying life on the farm. It is quiet and we have a good community of people around us; Sandy even has some other mothers around with young children. Reese has two teeth and has started crawling since we've been back. He is adjusting pretty well, although he's still not sleeping through the night. Prayers for that would be appreciated.
