preterm labor. The doctors did what they could to stop it, but decided on the 8th that it was safer for him to come out & he was born at only 33 weeks and 4 days. Even at almost seven weeks early Reese arrived at 6.37 lbs and after one night in intensive care was released to our care. God is so good! For more about his birth story, visit our blog: davidandsandy.org. He is such a blessing & we could not be more thankful for this gift. He is doing really well (with the exception of pretty severe jaundice that we are still trying to treat) & we cannot wait for you all to meet him when we’re back for furlough this summer. Thank you for all the prayers the last few weeks, they really got us through. Please keep them up as he is still very much premature. Also keep Sandy in your prayers as she continues to recover. Rebirth: Steven Banda—Dec 1, 2011

Support Progress Part of being a missionary is consistently promoting the need in your field of service & encouraging others to support the work financially. At times it’s difficult to ask, at others it comes naturally. Sometimes support raising gets frustrating and sometimes it could not be more fulfilling.

Rebirth: Angelika Kooper—Dec 1, 2011

Financing a mission is a ministry in itself and it unites missionary & supporter in what God is doing. In the course of the last year we have had some supporters fall on hard times and the ministry has lost monthly income as a result. While we have also gained some new supporters, we are still below budget and in need of more partners.

As we wrapped up another school year at CHS we had the pleasure of baptizing two students from David’s Discipleship class. We spent the first two terms this year studying what a Christian is and the last on how to become a Christian. Steven and Angelika both decided that they are ready to become true disciples and they were reborn on the first of December! Several other students showed interest in making the same commitments. A few are still “counting the cost” and trying to decide if they are ready. A few others were told no by their parents. Please pray for these remaining children and their parents.

Please consider joining the work here in Namibia. If you would like to help us get back up to budget, return the included response card or contact us at support@davidandsandy.org.
