How to Write Easy to Read Posts
You have probably noticed that some of the texts are read nice and comfortable, and some are the real meal. The latter circumstance is hardly played for the benefit of any blog and certainly does not make it attractive. Let us try to understand what differentiates a simple, pleasant and easy to grasp text of that one which is difficult to “chew and digest.” Any text has the content (as determined by the copywriting) and investment in the form of (something that is determined by design). The content is more important and mostly characterizes the end product (the text), but the form is important too. Bad form can spoil the impression of good content. In general, every aspect is winning and reverent attitude to yourself, so I decided to prepare an article on the post’s “form” and “content” issues.
Copywriting
Invent high headlines The title is the first thing that draws the attention of the reader. If a person is not interested in the title, then he probably will not read it. So, do the title revealing the contents of the article and, at the same time, quite attractive but without false promises. Cheating readers are unlikely to appreciate the positive result, but in minor tweaks and “lured title can be treated with understanding. I would like to recommend you headlines are focusing on the description of the contents of the article / post. Talk about the main first After reading the first paragraphs (1–2 paragraphs), the reader should be clear about what is that post and what he can expect from it. Your task at the same time to interest your reader, to intrigue and spark curiosity in these paragraphs. You can briefly tell about what will be the post. Often, in large articles (which are the most difficult to read) initially publish something like the contents of the publication, and then gradually it opens in the text. Write a simple, understandable language
Avoid a large number of technical terms and jargons. Write so that the widest possible audience understood the text. Although of course, you will need to take into account the actual audience requests — if it is a serious, thematic project, do not get too imposingly relates to content. It should also be taken into account the “level of training” your readers — sometimes, too straightforward and detailed description of the essential things only causes irritation. Write a “living” language Try to write the not dead language (even if it is a “dry” technical text). Use examples, metaphors, humor. The text should reflect your personality, but not faceless. If you have a personal blog, these techniques will be very helpful. It is necessarily trying to be witty in every article, but sometimes to dilute the important texts a “personal” coat color would be nice. Write on the merits “Digressions” are needed, but they are good in moderation only. If the text on 99% consists of “water”, the benefit is not great from it. Sometimes I met posts with clever, enticing title, ideal the first two paragraphs of interesting ideas, but with entirely useless further text. Of course, it is not the most pleasant experience. So, before writing the article, consider whether it will be useful, interesting, or, at least, informative. To publish a post for the sake of publishing is not necessary. Write correctly Not every blogger is a graduate of Philology. Thus, mistakes are forgivable. Probably, in this text, they are too. But everything has its frame — a blatant ignorance (like, inadvertent “milg”) repels. First of all, we have to respect our readers. They pay attention to such things and often can be annoyed of gross mistakes in the text. There is a decision — nowadays, we have a various types of text editors and apps which can solve the grammatical problem.
Use Grammarly, SpellCheckPlus, Softonic, etc. to avoid painful for eyes mistakes. Well, of course, these editors cannot check your grammatic at 100%. Thus, you have to reread your texts very attentively even several times to make it as quality as possible.
Form
Design of the text Now, let us talk about the design. It was established that some people read the texts and other “scan” them. Even one and the same individual in the familiar situation often reads and in the other one he “scans,” especially, for example, if you have a little time and wants to read as many blogs as possible. Therefore, your text must be well “scanned”, structured and “comfortable” for a reader. Headings / subheadings If it is possible, always break apart text in headers and subtitles. It greatly facilitates the “scanning” and perception of the text. Thus, highlights
relevant information in the text blocks and signs them by various titles. For example, this post can be understood by looking at the bold basic tips for writing posts only. If the reader will not be able to comprehend any of them, he can read my description and will grasp the essence of the issue in more detail. Paragraphs If you are not able to identify parts of the text by headings, then, at least, break it into sections. Reading a continuous text is not an easy test. Make your readers’ atmosphere pleasant. Lists If you make a list of anything, arrange them properly (use numbers or bullets). Lists are one of the most effective techniques of the blog posts crafting because their perception is extremely simple. Illustrations The text never hurt a good image. Firstly, it complements the text (often even a different story), and secondly, you need an eye for something “cling” and something “to rest”, in the third place, people simply like pictures. Personally, I add to my each article image(s) under, particular, every header / subtitle. This format is well accepted. Moreover, sometimes without the proper illustration, your post cannot do it “job” — for example, a post about infographics — plain text could not clearly explain the whole process. As it said, “It is better to see once.” Text should be moderated Text should not be too short and too long. If the topic is broad, try to break it. Many tests can be tedious. Too small versions are often empty and not informative (if it is not a news post). Breaking the text, you should properly divide it into parts so that each of them was logically completed.
Related links If a topic has not been exhausted yet, let the reader know more — he will be only grateful. You may be referred to other sites. And do not forget using relinking — it is very useful for the blog. Experienced readers adore getting more information than proposed in the context of the post. I hope these simple rules will play a good part in your final texts. Wishing your articles become more attractive and efficient. Write informative and easy to read posts to get success in your writing and blogging spheres.
