The Serpentine Airport Design Tooradin Airport design

Concept Statement: The “Concealing and Revealing” derives from the experience I visited Great Ocean Road which is the most beautiful landscape in Melbourne. The landscape reveals itself differently after you turn over the cliff. Your vision is regulated by those curved contours. I adopt the curved shape to create the Concealing and Revealing atmosphere. Then I introduce eight glass atriums to introduce sunlight into the building as well as give people different visal experience. The curvered speration line between airside and landside also provides different spaces for people to have coffee with his friends within “one space”. The extruded Lounge boxes are not only used to offer additonal services including children play grounds and VIP lounges, but also form part of the facade facing air side. All these features try to create the concealing and revealing experience. Encourage people to explore the building to find out their own favourite spot.
