WTF!?!? Tidbits

In case you’ve been able to escape the nauseatingly incessant coverage, Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise after five years of marriage… meaning I guess the contract finally expired. TMZ speculates that the primary reason for the divorce may have been Tom’s desire to send their daughter, Suri, to a “Scientology boot camp” aboard a Scientology-owned cruise ship, where children as young as five are indoctrinated in Scientology and made to sign “a one-billion-year pledge to symbolize their eternal commitment to the religion. […] Katie felt the only way to save PHOTOCREDIT: s_bukley / Suri … was to file for divorce and seek sole legal Shutterstock.com custody.” Considering Scientology was created by a science-fiction writer, I’m not surprised. Adele is knocked up. That’s great and all, but I’m more intrigued to see if Adele can actually write a song that isn’t a brooding breakup ballad (because you know her next album is going to be all about that damn baby).

After seemingly endless speculation, Anderson Cooper finally publicly acknowledged he’s gay in an interview with Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Beast. Anderson Cooper, gay? Next you’ll tell me Joan Rivers has had a little work done. Alec Baldwin married 28-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in NYC. Tina Fey, Alec’s brothers Stephen and Billy Baldwin, Woody Allen and wife Soon Yi, Mariska Hargitay, Robert Kennedy, Jr. and Lorne Michaels were all in attendance. Prior to the wedding, Hilaria tweeted, “Being a bride is stressful.... ayyyyyyy.” The only person with a more stressful job than the bride was, of course, the wedding photographer. Human baby factory Michelle Duggar, who has birthed 19

children, wrote a column for TLC’s Parentables blog where she espoused “modest clothes […] mainly because God talks about the thigh being uncovered, and how that’s nakedness and shame.” Why is it always the people you’d least like to see naked who seem to pride themselves on their modesty? We are not impressed… we are thankful.

Kelly Osbourne recently got drunk on a flight to Atlanta and had to be carried off by her assistant and a security guard – after researching severe cases of Multiple Sclerosis, a disease her brother Jack was recently diagnosed with. I don’t really need an explanation about how your brother has MS and you drank “on an empty stomach” – I just thought everyone got drunk on planes? – Lucas Witherspoon david atlanta | 11

Atlanta’s Queen of Cosplay Rian Ashlei talks to Josef Gargala

W

hat a wonderfully fantastical creature! There’s something delightfully bratty and clever about Cosplayer and drag/club kid, Josef Gargala. His looks delight and astonish. His art is sinister and mystifying. His makeup application skills spark envy in any girl, drag queen or makeup aficionado. As a cosplayer, Josef has found a most unusual and appropriate way to turn up the volume on his inner geek.

It was so much fun to dress up as my favorite characters. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been wanting to do it. To become a character you’ve always admired is a very fun thing to do!

Cosplay is something most people have seen because of Dragon*Con; that time when tens of thousands of comic book characters, superheroes and villains invade downtown Atlanta in some of the most elaborate and inventive costumes to grace the city, even in a drag show. If broken down, cosplay literally means, costume play.

When I do a cosplay look, I mainly choose characters I admire. And those I know that fit my looks, stature, and personality! Most won’t fit your personality exactly. So, it’s a little bit like acting too. Personally, I always go for the villains. Even more so the more bratty ones. They’re a lot of fun to be. Besides, villains always have the best costumes too. I try to get my costume as accurate as I can to that character. However when I do my own drag look, it’s all from my mind.

Most people enjoy the playfulness of the whole ordeal without much thought about the culture of Cosplay, or that it even has a name. And until I met Josef, I had no idea it could potentially become so beautiful, instead of nerdy. Scrolling through dozens of pictures of Josef, I was surprised, frightened but mostly impressed; impressed at the level of sophistication, skill and concentration he has to have to execute these looks. To couple all that skill with a surprisingly upbeat and humble personality, this just might be my favorite interview to date.

Until this assignment, I had never heard of “Cosplay.” Is that term accurate to describe your artistic expression, if not, how do you identify it? Well yes and no. Cosplay better describes those who dress up as comic book characters and/or characters from movies, video games, or other things. Such as Batman, Megaman, Link from Zelda, or even Klarion The Witch Boy. Though I do cosplay as a lot of different characters, I also have my own drag/club kid looks. It’s all about self-expression and having fun. So, you could say it’s a bit of both.

How did you become involved in the Cosplay, or Costume-Play, scene? I became involved with the cosplay scene when I went to Dragon*Con for the first time in Atlanta.

After some research, I found that most Cosplay participants create their looks from outside sources (characters, anime, cartoons etc.), what sources do you pull from, if any? And if you don’t where do you get your creative direction/inspiration to create looks?

What is your favorite and least favorite look that you have done? Favorite past look in cosplay? I’d say Klarion The Witch Boy. I love dressing up as him. Klarion is a very bratty magical witch boy from an alternate dimension called Limbo Town. He’s fun to be because he is such a brat! There’s a lot of funny and playful quirks that he has. Like his love for anything strawberry. And his love of destruction and chaos! My least favorite would probably be Tom Riddle from Harry Potter. The costume is VERY hot to be in. The entire costume is wool!

What future looks do you have in mind? By next year, I hope to go to Dragon*Con as Beast Boy from Teen Titans. He’s a character I’ve liked for a long time. Also, Megaman is also on my list of future costumes to do.

Do you plan on increasing your involvement in the Cosplay scene? Is there room for growth? Most definitely! Soon, I really hope to go to more conventions and have a lot more costumes. Dressing up while at conventions like Dragon*Con is the best! You meet such wonderful people. There’s always room to improve. Growth is what makes us all great. david atlanta | 23

How supportive are your peers/family with your involvement in Cosplay? They are very supportive. In fact, most of my friends are also into cosplay and other nerdy stuff. It’s like one big family! My mom is very supportive. She sees it as artistic expression and encourages it.

How did you become so wonderfully gifted at makeup application? Thank you! I’ve been doing makeup ever since I was about 14 years old. It all started with my fascination with Marilyn Manson’s makeup. It snow balled into what you all see now. I practiced day and night to get every little thing perfect. In makeup, like everything else, practice truly makes perfect. In makeup, there aren’t any rules at all. Wear what colors you want! If you want to go out wearing green eye shadow and red lips, you do it! No one is going to stop you from feeling good but you.

at the jaw line! Blending is your best friend in makeup. One more tip, to help lipstick from bleeding, apply lip liner around your lips as normal then fill it in. Put lipstick on top. Blot it with a tissue. Then lightly powder on top with your translucent face powder. Go out and dance the night away! And look drop dead gorgeous while doing so.

On average, how long does it take to create, execute and put on a Cosplay look? It all depends on how intricate the makeup is. On average about 3 hours.

What did you want to be when you were little? Honestly? I wanted to be an entomologist. I was really fascinated by insects and arachnids. I find a lot of inspiration from them in my own drag looks. No better source than nature itself.

Any makeup lines, tips you want to share with the girls?

What does your participation do for your personally/mentally/emotionally?

Sure! One good thing is always practice! I know that sounds silly. But makeup tips are pointless until you practice and learn. Always invest in a good set of makeup brushes. In fact, Loew Cornell paint brushes work quite well as makeup brushes. They’re a lot cheaper than most brushes and they’re very soft! I use them myself. The most important part of your makeup is the foundation. Make sure to really blend it into your skin with a foundation brush or makeup sponge. Never stop

And I plan on doing just that Josef, right after I go to Utrecht to pick up those Loew Cornell paint brushes!

It’s the best thing I’ve ever gotten into doing to tell you the truth. It has sharpened my makeup and sewing skills. I’ve gotten to meet really outstanding people! Cosplay is all about having fun no matter who you are. Celebrating your nerdiness and having fun doing it! Live long and prosper.

ays have long had a love for fantasy and sci-fi genres of entertainment. There’s something about the escapism that fantasy offers which proves irresistible to us, and we certainly include comic books in that realm. Diving from our lives in an often oppressive reality where we are still despised into the colorful world of costumed superheroes, magical powers, and good usually triumphing over evil can have a mightily therapeutic effect on our spirits.

other words, gay men only had archetypal heroes including Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and Captain America to look up to. Because comic books had traditionally been targeted to males, lesbians had possibly fewer choices like Wonder Woman, Catwoman, and Storm from X-Men. There simply were no gay characters in mainstream comic book titles. We had to settle for whatever veiled, coded subtexts we psychologically projected into them, in turn hoping for our fantasies to look back out at us and say “We’re in here, and we’re queer!”

Although many of the stereotypes were still “Many queer comic firmly entrenched in book fans got into this mainstream titles medium because the by iconic American Archie introduced Kevin Keller issues that our beloved as a gay character, eventually publishers DC heroes faced were in having Kevin marry his boyfriend Comics and Marvel, many ways our own: many European double-life secret identities, comic book houses being forced to live in a world that fears and hates and underground American publishers had us, an unexplainable fascination with adonis already long been blazing trails with the inclusion physiques in skin-tight spandex,” said Matthew Lehosit, Brand Manager at Cartoon Network and of radical queer characters and situations in their titles. In April 2010, a new Archie Comics character, Kevin Keller, was introduced as openly gay. In January 2012, Kevin – an Iraq veteran – married his same-sex partner Clay Walker – an African-American doctor – in Life with Archie #16. Of course, conservative Christian groups were red-faced and enraged at what they perceived as yet another assault on traditional family values. Delightfully though, the gay marriage issue has sold out, and the Archie Comics group continues to stand by its decision. “Kevin Keller is definitely an interesting case, because the Archie brand is thought to be so incredibly squeaky clean,” said X-Men’s Northstar and his Lehosit. “I think that Archie Comics saw boyfriend Kyle tied the knot in that their brand was stale, and sought to Astonishing X-Men #51 redefine the Riverdale world with modern topics and themes by exploring them with Two comic series that hit the same ‘gee golly’ attitude that their characters shelves last month, which reinvents the history have always displayed. It’s always V-Day at Victory Sandwich

A

by Clayton Morey

Ping-Pong table, a punching bag, terrible Sci-Fi movies playing on a wall projected TV, and a slushy machine filled with JACK AND COKE!!! No, these are not the list of thing my husband won’t allow me to have in our home, but instead, the most charming group of oddities made available to you at Victory Sandwich Bar and Emporium. Tucked neatly away in the center of the now bustling Inman Park corridor just off of North Highland Avenue, this hidden gem offers not only a fantastic price point for us cost conscience culinary connoisseurs but also fantastic fare. The menu consists of around a dozen pint size paninis at a budget friendly average of four dollars each, three sides, three snacks, and three salads.

The idea (or so I’m told) is to pick a couple of sandwiches, maybe a snack or a salad to start you off and some sides for sharing. The husband and I began our first meal at Victory with the summer soup and weekly rotated house-made hummus. The hummus plate, while totally palatable, was really nothing special (to me) and the portion size, especially as compared to the smartly small plates that make up the rest of the menu, made its mediocrity even less palatable. The summer soup, however, was a triumphant blend of watermelon puree, perfectly smooth and cold, topped with a touch of crème fraiche, basil, and finished with just enough heat to make you ask for more. Our sandwich selections did not fail to impress! I chose The Muffler, a play on the New Orleans’ classic Muffaletta. Crispy focaccia stacked with delightfully salty Capicola, Sopresata, and Salami paired with warm fontina cheese and an olive tapenade. The Castro (I’ll let you guess 40 | davidatlanta

what classic this riffs upon) is slow roasted pork, ham, dill pickles, yellow mustard, and again, that wonderfully melted fontina cheese. My husband chose to go a bit less carnivorous with his selection. He chose The Hambo with mozzarella, arugula, apple, and a balsamic reduction. Oh… and just one slice of the most perfectly crisp prosciutto. All sandwiches come with a handful of crunchy salt and pepper chips to round out the plate. I have to admit I was not impressed with one of the side dish options that I tried. The spicy Ramen with peanuts and scallions was served cold and under seasoned, and frankly, left me cold. The plum tomatoes with Maytag bleu cheese, basil, and balsamic were very simple, but a delicious complement to our meal. When it comes to the adult beverage part of the evening, I am to understand that Victory has a great list of smart cocktails and simple spiked sodas, as well as a strong selection of canned and bottled beers to choose from. I personally wouldn’t know because I never got past the first line of the drink menu: the Slushie, Jack Daniels blended and frozen into icy goodness with the Atlanta classic Coca-Cola. All I can say is that God is great…and so is this drink! At only four dollars for a single and eight for a double (who would ever order a single?!), this is the best deal going! The restaurant itself consists of three distinct spaces. As you approach from the street, you pass through the spacious patio with both long communal, almost picnic-style tables and smaller, more intimate tables. A sign near the front door directs you to proceed to the bar to order (the lunchtime protocol) or just grab a

Restaurant Review

seat to enjoy the full service experience. Which brings me to the service staff. Friendly and well informed, the attractive mix of tattoo wearing girls are as easy on the eyes as they are a pleasure to be served by. You will find the dining room, as well as the bar, are both warm and welcoming with quirky accents and cleaver placement of the unexpected. For example, the punching bag that hangs beside the bar or the table numbers that are branded on each table (just in case you were to forget which table you’re at). I will warn you that finding parking was a

challenge at prime time, even on a Thursday night, but the good news for us, if not for the employees, is that this Inman Park eatery is open a non-enviable 15 hours a day (13 on Sundays)! Even better news is that a second location is in the works for our Home Depot loving sisters out in Decatur. So go early or go late…just make sure you go! Thoughts or comments? Raise Your Glass and Funds for Living Room by Joseph Brownell

N

o matter where you went two weeks ago when record temperatures blazed in our city, you more than likely had an oasis of central air awaiting your return. Safe and affordable may be something we take for granted but for a segment of the population living with HIV/AIDS the struggle to find and maintain housing can be overwhelming. Living Room, Inc. (www.livingroomatl.org) is a non-profit service located in the heart of Atlanta that helps those living with HIV/AIDS acquire and maintain housing. By providing home referral and saving services, emergency housing, rental assistance and other services, Living Room aims to make sure that housing concerns are taken out of the equation for those who are already facing mounting health concerns and expenditures because of HIV/AIDS.

in grant money,” Goldenburg shared, “but this is more than just a fundraising event, it’s a celebration of the services and programs Living Room provides.” Taste of Life takes place on Saturday July 14th from 8-10 pm at the Holy Cross Catholic Church located at 3773 Chamblee Tucker Rd. Atlanta, GA 3034. Tickets are still available for $45 per person or $80 per couple and can be purchased in advance at http://livingroomatl. org/tasteoflife2.php.

But they can’t do it alone. This Saturday, Living Room once again teams up with the AIDS Ministry at the Holy Cross Catholic Church to present their annual Taste of Life Fundraiser. The event brings donations from local restaurants and caterers as well as wine from around the world in a tasting format designed to raise money for the services Living Room provides. In addition to exquisite food and wine offerings, local businesses make donations for a silent auction. Furthermore, an all-volunteer effort from Holy Cross Catholic Church’s AIDS Ministry is an integral part to the event’s success. “[They] transform a parish hall into a beautiful first class venue and we’re so grateful for their effort,” praised Dolph Goldenburg, Living Room’s Executive Director. Last year’s event raised more than $5,600 – an amount that goes a long way to provide housing services. “For every dollar we raise at Taste of Life, we will be able to receive an additional $10 david atlanta | 45

Joe Phillips: For the Boys!

J

by Richard Marshall

oe Phillips has been a busy boy! His artwork is playful and risqué, and he’s blended bawdy and beautiful in a way that is all his own. From his beginnings as a comic book artist to his recent works, Joe has found a way to express himself in a way that just might make your jaw drop.

I’m excited to talk to you! I’ve enjoyed seeing your comics through the years and looking forward to getting to know the man behind the comics! Your work is always popping up in different publications, and I always love your light, playful approach! I know your work mostly through your Joe Boys / Boys will be Boys calendar and your comics (House of Morecock, Stonewall & Riot) – what drew you to comics? It’s so sweet of you to be inspired by my chicken scratch, I’m just pleased anyone likes what I do! I started drawing during college to make money for 46 | davidatlanta

school and after a while I said “Why am I going to school?” and left to do comics full time.

You’ve had your hands in a lot of comics, starting with your work in Southern Knights and drawing some of my favorite Marvel/DC titles, too. Working with the different comic book publishers, did you find that they were encouraging of the prospect of putting more gay story lines in it? Did they let you flow freely or try to control how the character acted/behaved? I’ve had a lot of freedom in the stuff I did for DC, like Superboy and Body Doubles, so I can’t complain much. I hope there will be more opportunities to do fun stuff in the future! I think JoeBoy art is more my mindset and I leave other peoples characters to them.

Speaking of DC, what are your thoughts on Alan Scott (Golden Age Green Lantern) being reintroduced as a gay character? It’s kind of stupid. They should just do a new character and leave the poor man alone. But hey, if it sells a few books, more power to them. In a

way my idealistic view of things has gone. I see the mind behind it all and just shake my head. I do what I do and let all that hype wash by. I really don’t read comics much any more past a story line that’s drawn by someone I like.

But you’ve also had a profound effect on comic book fans such as myself. I was drawn to comics for a sense of escape. When I “realized” I was gay, I was fortunate to have a few Darkhorse comics that had a gay character in it. I’d like to thank you for being on the forefront to making that escape inclusive to us. Do you get a lot of people thanking you for making them feel included? I’ve had many people share their stories of how my art has effected them personally. I remember once I got a letter from a mom who’s son came out to her and gave her a copy of my book. She wrote me to tell me she had never imagined gay men could be so happy and do regular things like everyone else. She thought her kid would wind up a prostitute or drug addict, or even a drag queen, it was nice to know that she could see the world was better than she imagined. She thanked me and became a member of PFlag. I also had a man come out to his son, after his son came out to him, and showed him my book. They didn’t know each other was gay and it was a great thing they shared over my art. I have stories from a Priest in the Vatican City and Muslims in Arabia, Pakistan, and China. It’s humbling to have been so influential by just drawing what I wanted to see.

You’ve included a lot of your playfulness even in your “adult” work. I caught a few nods to some iconic and classic, like how Stonewall & Riot has a little Adam West-era Batman & Robin feel to it; and Flotilla in House of Morecock reminds me of another certain talking fish who’s friend with a mer-person. House of Morecock 2 is coming out soon, any chance that Flotilla will make a cameo? Hadn’t planned on it, maybe he has her in a fish bowl back at home.

Do you have a release date? Not yet, we are only 2 segments in on the new film, so we have 3 more to do, I’m hoping [it will be] by late winter next January/February. 48 | davidatlanta

Any chance you’ll be able to make it to Atlanta’s Brushstrokes for the release? I’m not sure I’ll make it to Brushstrokes for the release, but I’ll be in Atlanta for Dragon-Con. It’s been a long time since I was there [in Atlanta], I went back last year after 12 years.

Well, I look forward to seeing you! Thank you so much for putting up with my barrage of questions, I know that there will be a lot of happy people to hear your thoughts and inner workings. Would to care to impart any words of wisdom for aspiring artists? (Laughter) Don’t do it! And if you do, do it because it keeps you up at night, because it’s a powerful lover that demands to be first. It haunts every minute of your waking and dreaming world, everything you see you want to reflect in your work. Every relationship is just stories for your work. It is your way of communing with something bigger than yourself and yet so intimate that it’s exposing your inner thoughts to the world. Never take it for granted because it is like a can and has a will of it’s own. Always let it lead you and not try too hard to tame it. It will always be with you even if you lose everything else. Practice often, draw constantly on napkins and corners of books. Practice hands and facial expressions, clothing styles, lighting, and how fabric folds. Draw guns and cars and horses, they are hard to capture and a good artist can draw anything. Joe Phillips work is featured on Joeboys.com, JoePhillips. com and many of his pieces of work are available for purchase locally at Brushstrokes. david atlanta | 49

A Sneak Peek @ By Elijah Sarkesian Dragon*Con is just around the corner. The annual convention is the largest of its kind in the Southeast, and routinely brings in a ton of events and celebrities - along with more costumes than Halloween. With less than two months to go before Dragon*Con 2012 hits Atlanta, here’s a preview of what you can expect this Labor Day Weekend (August 31-September 3).

Major Guests! Each year, Dragon*Con brings in a number of impressive celebrities, and this year is certainly no exception. To date, they’ve already booked cast members from a number of popular past and current television series and films. Fans of the very gay-friendly True Blood will love the guests from the series who will be in attendance this year: Joe Manganiello (Alcide), Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette), Sam Trammell (Sam) and Carrie Preston (Arlene). There’s a chance Atlanta fans of a different vampire-themed show will recognize some of this program’s guests. The Vampire Diaries cast members, including gay favorite Kat Graham, will make appearances at Dragon*Con this year.

Joe Manganiello of True Blood is one of this year’s guests...

Enthusiastic Doctor Who fans will love the show’s representative this year: John Barrowman, the openly gay cast member who currently stars in the spinoff Torchwood. There are also a number of draws for fans of classic sci-fi and fantasy. Cast members from several of the Star Trek series will be present, including original Star Trek cast member Nichelle Nichols and LeVar Burton of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Fans of the classic Batman series from the 60s will get a kick out of two of the newest announced guests: Adam West and Burt Ward, the Batman and Robin of that cult classic. 54 | davidatlanta

...As will Doctor Who’s John Barrowman!

Fantastic Events! Be on the watch for Stormtroopers in the Dragon*Con Parade!

Dragon*Con has a ton of events going on this year. The biggest is the Annual Dragon*Con Parade. There’s also Dragon*Con Burlesque: A Glamour Geek Revue, where performers will don their most chic geek ensembles. Meanwhile, Hickman’s Killer Breakfast is just that - killer. It’s breakfast as part of a roleplaying game. The event occurs Saturday morning. That night, the Dragon*Con Night at the Georgia Aquarium returns. Guests will get to see a mixture of the Aquarium and attendees dressed in costumes. Place bets on how many people come dressed as Aquaman. The Apocalypto Disco is also going on Saturday night, where guests will get celebrate the impending apocalypse with the genre that spells the end of the world...disco.

Spectacular Costumes! One of the biggest draws for Atlantans to come to Dragon*Con is to see the sheer number of costumes people create for the weekend. Some people work on the best, most elaborate costumes all year long. If you haven’t planned out a costume yet, though, no need to fret you still have plenty of time.

Expect a lot of web slingers this year!

Superheroes are a popular go-to idea, and the biggest ones tend to be the ones with films that have just been released. This year, though, is big even by those standards. Groups can consider the Avengers, while individuals can shoot for Spider-Man or Batman. Want something more distinctive? Look to cartoons for inspiration. Anime characters like Sailor Moon or Disney cartoons are good places to start. There are also your standard sci-fi sources of inspiration, including Star Trek and Star Wars. If you want to try something a little different in the sci-fi realm, go with something from Doctor Who instead. For the latest updates on Dragon*con, visit dragoncon.org

FairyScopes

ARIES (March 20 – April 19): As your energy and confidence pick up, it’s easy to go overboard. Take time to meditate, exercise, to share your plans and ambitions. You need sensible counsel to keep you on the track to success, and off the road to disaster.

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20): Putting money into your home looks like a good investment, but it’s not. Your sense of community values may put you into a very small minority. Your basic values are good, but what you’ve built on them may need re-hashing. GEMINI (May 21- June 20): Venus offers you extra charm, but with your ruler Mercury turning retrograde you could charm your way into situations you’d regret. Count on your friends and listen to them. That wild new passion in your life is just a passing fancy. CANCER (June 21- July 22): A clash between spiritual values and material goals may leave you questioning how you keep body and soul together. Making revolutionary changes requires subtle efforts and personal choices while working subversively within the system. LEO (July 23 – August 22): Your discomfort with the world is your own problem. Don’t take it out on others. You need fearlessly honest friends to confront you with disturbing truths. The courage to listen won’t come easily, but you can handle it. VIRGO (August 23 – September 22): Your ability to keep confidences is important to your ambitions. Letting on that you know a secret is the first step to giving it up. Wanting to enjoy attention among your friends can cost you at home. Think ahead!

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22): Mars just into your sign cranks up your energy, but don’t be an energetic crank! While changes at home are necessary, listen attentively to your partner and family. To start change yourself you have to start by changing yourself. SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21): Taking responsibility is not the same as taking blame. Staying quiet and avoiding arguments doesn’t make the others right, but could make you more effective in the long run. You will regret speaking up. Be observant and shrewd working behind the scenes. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20): Asserting your sexual desires can be good for you, but stressful on your relationship. Real love requires compromises – on both sides. A serious discussion can reach a satisfactory conclusion. Single? Unsure? A hot new fling is just that. Enjoy. Don’t make plans. CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19): Too much confidence at work can quickly get you into trouble, especially at home. Rallying your people to support you can be a hard sell. They have needs, too! Respect and support them. One way or another they’ll pay you back. AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18): You’re all about changing the world, but can you change yourself? New ideas will soon challenge your deepest values and commitments. The world needs to evolve and change, and you must do so first if you really want to lead the way. PISCES (February 19 – March 19): The seducer can get even more lost in seduction than the seduced. Worry less about what you need from others and think about what you can offer others of yourself. Even then think ahead and consider your own limits.

The reason we can’t be friends is because you are a three gallons of crazy in a two gallon bucket, and I don’t have time to clean up that mess. I am glad we have reached the point in our relationship where we can now fart in front of each other

You seem to love yourself more then parents of honor students love bumper stickers

Every gay man needs a best friend like Pam from True Blood. I tried ignoring you, I flat out told you that you’re not my type, and I’ve been forced to block you on Grindr and Adam4Adam. TAKE A FRIGGIN’ HINT ALREADY!!! It’s really not personal that I can’t remember your name, it’s just that boring people all look the same

Have you had your shot of Shallow today? If the bartenders at [a local bar] were any slower, they’d be moving backwards.

I am glad you starve yourself and avoid carbs because when you die from starvation and misery, I can rejoice that I didn’t join you.
