The Environment As the UN has stated, Climate Change is the defining issue of our time and we are at a defining moment. Combined with the rapid destruction of natural resources and the huge amounts of waste being created by linear economic models, society is faced with an existential challenge that
We recognise that as a responsible member of our industry, and society, we have a part
to play in the creation of a sustainable future. Since 2013, we are proud to have held full ISO 14001 environmental management accreditation, which we use as a benchmark to drive our environmental objectives. Our vision is to go beyond the requirements of ISO 14001 to create ambitious initiatives that tackle environmental issues throughout our value chain. We have identified four aspects of our business that we will address to reduce or prevent negative impacts, and increase positive action:

We will review the procurement of office consumables, with the goal of sourcing 100% sustainable products by the end of 2021.
We will audit our value chain in FY 2021/22 to identify poor performing partners who present a risk to scope 3 reductions and high performing partners who present opportunities for reducing scope 3 emissions.
Day2 does not manufacture goods, operates in a leased office and does not directly own any vehicles. Day2 generates no Scope 1 emissions.
As a tenant, Day2 does not have direct control of the energy supply to 2 Woodbridge Street. We will audit energy usage and implement energy use reduction strategies at 2 Woodbridge Street in 2021.
We pledge to engage with our landlord, with a view to converting the energy supply at 2WS to renewable sources and achieving carbon neutrality by the end of 2022.
We will review waste & recycling at 2 Woodbridge Street and set targets for reducing nonrecyclable waste in our next fiscal year (2021/2022). We will help our colleagues create sustainable home offices and reduce the impact of their commute & work-related travel.
We will work with our logistics partners to incorporate emissions free vehicles into our delivery & installation service. We pledge to help our suppliers achieve carbon neutrality and deliver net-zero projects to our customers by 2030, or earlier.

Our aim is to provide the opportunities for continuous advancement to improve colleagues skills and talents so they can realise their goals in and out of the workplace. By building a positive environment enabling colleagues to take advantage of their strengths, not only will increase their wellbeing and resilience but will make them become more involved and confident which will increase performance at work, personal
growth and self-esteem.
Personal & Professional Growth Helping our colleagues grow both personally and professionally is an important part of our aim to transform
our business to deliver a new more sustainable vision of growth.
To help deliver against the aim, we are developing a series of interconnected actions including: o We have created a wellbeing and green team to support communities and the environment, giving individuals opportunities time to develop new skills. o All colleagues are encouraged to volunteer to support their communities, with a paid volunteering day available for all members of staff.
o We will review our appraisal process to embody our aim of both professional and personal growth.

4. Voice Integral to our long term success is a belief that everyone's voice matters, as we know everyone brings different experience, expertise and ideas to the business.
We actively encourage contributions that are listened to, respected and valued often leading to better ways of working and innovation. We do not underestimate the impact that enabling a strong voice ethos has on individuals professional and personal growth. We have identified a number of initiatives that support our drive to encourage a strong voice culture: o We will hold monthly town hall meetings where the senior team will provide an update on performance and future plans, and invite the team to ask questions and share ideas, along with presentations from the wellbeing and green teams. o We will create an innovation notice board to provide a forum for colleagues to raise their ideas, views and comments on a particular theme for discussion at the monthly town hall meeting. o We will carry out and annual staff satisfaction survey, asking a variety of questions about the business and how they feel. o Our staff handbook is reviewed regularly to ensure there are formal mechanisms to support our voice commitment including areas such as whistleblowing.
