This will bring benefits not only to our clients, but to our staff and supply partners too. Over future editions of this newsletter we will be introducing some of the fantastic new features which will be available to our clients. This, along with our new APP, which has just been launched on
We aim to produce this newsletter regularly to keep our clients and partners up to date with what’s going on, both within the business and the wider leasing industry. We hope you enjoy and find it informative; feedback is welcomed as always carolinewright@days.co.uk Caroline Wright - Operations Manager Days Contract Hire

What can Days Contract Hire offer? Contract Hire
FlexiHire
Contract hire is the term used to describe an agreement where you lease a vehicle for a set period of time, usually two, three or four years. Rather than buying a vehicle outright, you simply lease it from us for a fixed period and make a monthly payment. At the end of the agreement, you return the vehicle to us. Agreements can be with or without a maintenance package.
Launched in 2008 ‘FlexiHire’ is Days Contract Hire’s inhouse short term rental solution. It offers the flexibility of a short term rental but with the added benefits of using Days Contract Hire. Bookings can be made directly with our office or via your own log in.

Minibus Drivers
Minibuses & Driving Licences
Are you up to date with minibus regulations? As a major supplier of 9 to 17 seater minibuses to schools and colleges across the UK, we have recognised that driving such a vehicle is becoming an issue for younger drivers who passed their driving test after 1st January 1997. A ‘D1 category’ on your driving licence allows you to drive vehicles with a maximum of 16 passenger seats (excluding the driver) with a maximum length not exceeding 8 metres. A ‘D1 category’ was issued to all drivers who passed their driving test (category B) prior to 1st January 1997 without further tuition or qualification.
Certain restrictions apply: The vehicle CANNOT be used for hire or financial reward purposes and the driver cannot receive any payment or consideration for driving the vehicle other than ‘out-of-pocket expenses’. The driver must have held a category B licence for at least 2 years and is over 21 years of age. The minibus has a gross weight not exceeding 3.5 tones (*17 seat available 4.25 tonnes including any specialised equipment for carriage of disabled passengers) A ‘Section 19’ permit is required (a standard document available to all educational bodies).

Testimonials
Rave Reviews ‘high level of professional and quality service’
‘Consistently meet and exceed our expectations’
‘CSS UK are part of the Celsa Group™ and have been working with Days Contract Hire since 2009. As a multi depot organisation located throughout the UK, we selected Days Contact Hire because they were able to cover our UK wide fleet from a centralised administration office.
We have been using Days Contract Hire for a number of years to source our leased vehicles, and for the last few years we have also been taking full advantage of the Flexi Hire product to fulfil short- and mid-term vehicle requirements.
Our own dedicated Account Manager, Ashley Davies, is consistent in providing an extremely high level of service with a personal touch. He assisted with the transition to Days from three suppliers at the time which was greatly appreciated. With his assistance the transition went like clockwork and allowed us to concentrate our efforts on our business while he made arrangements direct with our drivers and resolved any issues that arose during the transition period. We would happily recommend Days Contract Hire as a supplier without hesitation to any business looking for a dedicated team who provide a high level of professional and quality service’. F.A.Q’s 1. Can I purchase my vehicle at the end of its contract? Yes, you can. The ‘company’ cannot purchase the vehicle due to the tax advantages that have already been achieved, but an individual can. The benefit is that you know the vehicle and it’s service history and we will offer first refusal at a fair trade price based on the current market conditions. We also offer finance if required. Just call Client Services on 01792 222144 with your registration number and expected mileage at contract end – it really couldn’t be simpler.
2. Is Days Contract Hire a broker? No, we are not. DCH is an independent contract hire company that takes full risk on all of the vehicles which are leased to our clients. We do not pass the finance underwriting on to a third party, so any funding that you may do with DCH does not affect any bank/ finance house funding that you may need for other parts of your business. www.dayscontracthire.co.uk
