About Dallas County Schools Dallas County Schools (DCS) aims to ensure every student receives a quality education that prepares them to exit the secondary learning domain equipped with skills necessary to become responsible citizens of society who are prepared to meet their goals. The mission of the Dallas County Schools system is to empower students to become self-sufficient, competent, and productive citizens of society. This will be achieved by engaging students in an innovative, creative, and realistic curriculum delivered by highly qualified staff. DCS teachers and support staff believe every student can learn and succeed. With a strong focus on instructional methods, students are prepared to work well with others, treat others with respect, and connect their academic learning to real-world applications. Recognizing that students acquire knowledge differently, DCS encourages instruction that provides multiple entry points to learning, a variety of options to demonstrate understanding, and a variety of assessment methods to identify proficiency and need for support.
