About Ozark City Schools

Ozark City Schools (OCS) is a dynamic and forward-thinking school system dedicated to providing high-quality education to its students. We are committed to fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence, personal growth, and social development.

Our robust academic programs emphasize both core subjects and extracurricular activities. Our schools have implemented award-winning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) initiatives, ensuring students are well-prepared for the technological advancements of the future.

In addition to its academic achievements, Ozark City Schools places a strong emphasis on extracurricular involvement and athletic programs. We boast a variety of sports teams and clubs that have achieved significant success at regional and state levels.

These programs are designed to promote teamwork, leadership, and physical fitness, contributing to the well-rounded development of students.

Our students learn real-world skills and have the opportunity to earn business certifications through the Alabama Simulated Workplace Initiative that allows every CTE program to operate as a student-led business with job responsibilities, uniforms and payroll.

OCS is also recognized for its efforts in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Our system has implemented various programs aimed at supporting students' mental and emotional well-being, including counseling services and anti-bullying initiatives. These efforts ensure that all students feel safe, respected, and valued within the school community.

Furthermore, our schools are committed to offering professional development for teachers. We ensure educators are equipped with the latest teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of their students.

By focusing on academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and student wellbeing, our system has created a nurturing and empowering environment for all students.
