About Thomasville City Schools The mission of Thomasville City Schools (TCS) is to provide equitable learning in which all students have the opportunity to gain knowledge and ignite curiosity in an ever-changing world.

Additionally, the system's $3.2 million energy saving project this spring will include new energy efficient HVAC units at Thomasville High, portions of Thomasville Middle, and Thomasville Elementary.

The school system's goal is to ensure that students are college and career ready and are provided with a secure learning environment.

TCS believes individualized education promotes a lifelong desire to learn. A sensory room was added to Thomasville Elementary to better serve special needs students.

TCS promotes life long learning through the use of technology and a number of preparatory programs. The system has partnered with Coastal Alabama Community College to offer dual enrollment classes that include career technical classes as well as college prep classes. TCS also is a 1:1 technology system.

For school safety, TCS updated and installed new cameras throughout the district. Also, each school and the central office features an electronic door system and up-to-date technology infrastructure system.

The TCS three-year average College and Career Readiness score has improved from 58% to 87% while maintaining a graduation rate above 90%. With maintaining a conducive learning environment at the forefront, TCS has made considerable investments into each of its school buildings including new LED lighting throughout the system and smart technology boards in all classrooms.

At TCS, education is considered a partnership involving the home, the community and schools. The system partners with the City of Thomasville for student resource officer needs as well as for grounds maintenance. TCS proudly continues to work with stakeholders to improve student achievement and help students reach their potential of becoming caring, competent, responsible citizens.
