MY OPINIONS ON PHOTOGRAPHS
Q1. Do you have a favourite photograph and why have you chosen it? I have chosen the top one on the left because i think it looks differnt and unusual as it is out of focus and has a women in black and white. Q2. What technical skills need to be shown in a photograph? you need to be able to show that you can take a photo in focus and also out of focus. Q3. What are your key rules or statements that must be in evidence to say that a photo is effective? In my opinion you need to show quality ,focus and emotions to have a good photograph. Q4. Why do we need to judge photographs? We judge photographs to know the maning behind the photoraphers intent or thoughts when taking the photo.
What makes a good photo? what is the meaning behind the photo? the meaning behind the photo is to show how out of focus can help the photo to look better and more exiting rather than bad. when does focus apply in the photo? focus applys in one of the three photos above . The artist seems to like showing her photos out of focus but i maneged to find one of a women in black white. where is the colour? The colour is situated in the bottom left photo of a street, it was taken out of focus but shows red trafic lights. why is it important? These photos are important because they show that not all photos have to be taken in focus to look good. who is the human in the photo? The human in the photo is most likely a model person positioned where the photographer chooses and feels works best.
What makes a good photo?
shutter speed
here i have experemented using shutter speed when taking photos of a plastic plate. The colour gradualy gets darker as i adjusted the shutter speed. My work is similar to Hilliards because we both use shutter speed to take a series of underexposure and overexposure photographs which are both to dark and to light. In the middle of both is examples of correct exposure which is just right
shutter speed
This series consists of photos of Hilliard’s own camera, taken using mirrors and different combinations of shutter speed. Hilliard’s fingers can be seen operating the camera.

Exercise 5a Focus Photographer Uta Barth Take a sequence of photos exploring the edges of windows and doorways. Focus on the frames and then focus on what is viewed through the frames. Use manual focus on the camera. https://s-mediacacheak0.pinimg. com/736x/dd/e2/44/
Here i have taken a range of photos of edges around and about my house. I have exploredwindow frames and door frames. I have positioned the camera diffrently in all the photos by going at lower and higher angles to capture the image. My faviroute photo is the one facing out of the window because it captures the clouds nicley. I edited some of the photos in bridge and they look really good in black and white.
