Mary Undoer of Knots Sanctuary Crypts
Where Trails End the journey begins
The devotion to the Virgin Mary Untier of Knots emerged in the 17th century in Germany, after a miracle that healed a marriage in crisis. The story took place in 1615 when a priest prayed over the knotted ribbon that the spouses had used on their wedding day, as a symbol of the indissoluble union of the sacrament of matrimony. For 40 days, they kept those knots until the last day when, during a fervent prayer to Mary, the priest said: “Immaculate Mary, I invoke you and raise up to you the ribbon of this marriage, untie the knots and unfold it.”

its original white color. From that moment on, the couple reconciled and lived a happy marriage.
PROJECT NEEDS
The Crypts of the Sanctuary of Mary Untier of Knots project was born thinking about the needs we all have for a place that provides comfort and hope in the face of the loss of our loved ones.
From its inception, with the conceptualization and execution of this project, we aim to provide the bereaved with a place full of hope and life to lay their beloved, a place in the heart of the jungle, in the house of our Mother Mary, a holy and blessed ground, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
PROJECT EXECUTION
We are committed to developing a project with low environmental impact, avoiding being massive or invasive, aiming to transmit peace and tranquility to those who visit. A place that, with the beauty of its simplicity, invites you to be more aware of the environment, the natural cycles of life, our fragility, finiteness, acceptance, as well as our transcendence and longing for Eternal Life.
Each module was drawn with straight and simple lines, giving the sensation of monoliths emerging from the earth. The canopy of trees provides shelter from the sun and rain, and you can feel the breeze and the scent of the earth, con-
nectingwithoursenses,memories,heart,soul,andfaithin theresurrection.
