THE HEROES They say the Allied Army’s
retreat to Dunkirk produced more heroes than any other action in the war…Heroes in bunches of a dozen. Completely cut off, small bands of these hunted men battered their way savagely across France through the might of the Nazi army towards the meeting point, Dunkirk. The miracle of Dunkirk it was called — and in this story is a reckoning of the blood and sweat it took to work that miracle.
