Last Weeks results courtesy of Grand Rapids Christian 17, Zeeland East 0: Eagles overcome mistakes in win Both teams struggled to find an offensive rhythm, but Grand Rapids Christian's Alex Bos hauled in a 24-yard pass from Parker Hall to give the Eagles enough of a cushion in a 17-0 win over Zeeland East on Friday. Rockford 28, Hudsonville 27: Failed 2-point conversion leaves Eagles short on comeback HUDSONVILLE, MI — An uneventful and scoreless first quarter didn't preview the excitement the rest of the night would hold in an OK Red conference rivalry game between No. 4-ranked Rockford and No. 2-ranked Hudsonville that came down to the last minutes on Friday The Eagles, trailing Rockford 28-21, marched down the field with two minutes left in the game to score on a 64-yard touchdown pass before coming up short on a two-point conversion in an attempt to win the game rather than play for a tie score. A muffed snap and quick rush from the Rockford line didn't allow quarterback Mason Opple to convert.

Eagle Spiritual Walk Following is a devotional recently shared with our sons on the football team... How Three Knows Can Lead to a Yes! By Team Chaplain Joe Jones

Before the Passover celebration, Jesus knew that his hour had come to leave this world and return to his Father. He had loved his disciples during his ministry on earth, and now he loved them to the very end. 2 It was time for supper, and the devil had already prompted Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. 4 So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him. -John 13:1-5 Because Jesus knew who He was, where He came from, what He had, and where He was going, He was complete master of the situation. You and I as believers know that we have been born of God, that we are one day going to God, and that in Christ we have all things; therefore, we ought to be able to follow our Lord’s example and serve others. What Jesus knew helped determine what Jesus did. When we know who we are in Christ, and know where we come from as children of God and know we'll one day be with the Lord, we can say yes to serving others.
