Beastrom Ranch Welcome to our 34th Annual Bull Sale, We would like to offer a special thank you to those of you who have purchased bulls from our program and have confidence in our genetics. The weather was very dry last spring but the rain came and the cattle performed very well. The bulls were weaned in September and have done well throughout the winter months. This set of bulls is as uniform as any group we have offered and the disposition along with the performance has surpassed our expectations. We have an exceptional set of red bulls in the offering this year, both purebred and Balancer速 bulls are loaded with volume, fleshing ability and muscle mass while maintaining eye appeal. The black bulls we have put together are very uniform, some offer calving ease and some offer performance, but they all are soft-made, soggy-middled cattle that offer power and performance. Overall this set of bulls is one that we are truly proud to offer for sale. Over the past several years we have utilized more embryo transfer work and it has resulted in more front end bulls and females. With that in mind, Barb and I have reduced numbers in our cow herd and increased the number of donors in our embryo transfer program. Our commitment is to make genetic changes and meet our goals more quickly. Our goals are to maintain the performance in our cow herd and increase carcass traits such as marbling, ribeye area and tenderness. Please join us on February 24th at the ranch to evaluate the bulls. If you are unable to attend the sale in person, the bulls are available for viewing at the ranch any time and videos will be available at www.beastromranch.com or at www.dvauction.com. Remember we guarantee all sight unseen purchases. See you for lunch at 11:30 a.m. CST. Thank you, Jim Beastrom

BEA 356A ranks in the top 4% for feedlot merit, the top 10% for yearling weight, calving ease of daughters and carcass value, the top 15% for marbling and carcass weight, and the top 25% for calving ease, birth weight, milk and rib eye area among Balancer bulls. He also ranks high for carcass value and feedlot merit. With a 79 lb. birth weight and high CE and CED values, this bull will add calving ease without sacrificing performance.

356A goes back to VAR Rocky, an Angus bull that we used to add more carcass value to our cattle, and thus far it has worked. The Rocky sired cattle are easy keepers and combine performance, power and carcass.

Her bull from last year, BEAS 2800Z, was a sale topper that we collected semen on and AI’d many of our heifers to. We are very excited to see his first crop of calves this spring. We have been so impressed with X185 thus far, that we have decided to flush her.

BEAS 2800Z • Maternal Brother to Lot 79 Sired by Gentleman Jack

3813A had an adjusted weight of 761 pounds and average daily gain of 3.23 pounds at weaning making him one of our high indexing bulls. He ranks in the top 3% or better in weaning and yearling weight EPDs. He also has great total maternal, rib eye area and feedlot merit values. 3813A‘s future is full of potential.
