OVERMILLER
Gelbvieh and Red Angus Welcome to Overmiller Gelbvieh and Red Angus, We extend a warm welcome to all and a sincere Thank You to all our past customers and friends, for your loyal support and interest in our breeding program. We are truely blessed to be able to do what we love which is raising cattle and the feed to feed them. Working together as a family to help feed the world is truely a blessing. Raising cattle isn’t what we do as a hobby or investment, it’s who we are. We are happy with the investments in some new herd bulls and can’t wait to see what you have to say about the offspring. Our goal is to produce cattle that meet your demands, so if you’re not happy with them we aren’t either. We honestly have fed this set of bulls less than any others in quite some time. These are stout firm bulls that will be ready to work come spring. These dudes aren’t lacking for muscle or power. The heifers being offered are a functional set of females that are the result of Roger’s lifetime of breeding cattle. Some really good cow prospects sell. We have color coded the catalog for you. The lot # is on a color coded bull by the color of the bull. If it is a red bull he is red and if it is black the bull is black. We have also color coded their names for you. The yearlings names are the same color as the bull coat color. ALL fall bulls have a green name. We did this so you could easily identify if it was a spring or fall born bull. Fall bulls have actual scan data on them from Jan. 20th. The spring bulls scan data is CUP Lab certified and adjusted. Feel free to come look before the sale or call with any questions you may have. Please come join us early sale day for dinner. We look forward to seeing you Feb. 21st and Thank You for your interest and support.

If you’re looking to make a blockbuster trade this offseason then sign 9510B and trade in your old bull. This guy brings to the table the most prolific cow family on the ranch. The “10” line has consistently produced sale topping bulls over the years including last year’s all time high seller who was raised by this guy’s Grand-dam. This cow line’s grow numbers have never matched their production level. Blockbuster himself is a unique individual who probably could have had a successful show career. He is super wide and square in his upper hip and has that soft Yardmaster rib that is doubled up by the terrific phenotype the 9510W cow possesses. As a bred heifer a college judging coach told his team to keep a picture of her in their mind as she was what they should be looking for. She really did it with this calf taking him from an 87 BW ratio to a 112 WW ratio.

Talk about a flat stud, Bazooka has been a horse all along and weaned off the cow at 749 putting him at the top of his group. This shouldn’t be surprising as his dam has a 106.9 MMPA on 3 calves with a weaning ratio of 110. His 2 maternal brothers have both been used in purebred operations. If you like them thick and stout this is your bull. He is wide and full of red meat while still having the bold and deep rib Yardmaster puts in his calves. I think you will find a lot more performance in these Yardmaster calves than the numbers show.

“A real Ranchers Bull” Kent Jaecke. Wide, deep, & moderate, what a truck! Built like a bubba. Combines the great Bailey’s Tess with the Abigrace cow family. Dam was a featured cow from a past C-Bar sale after she was the high selling open heifer in the Lonker/Brandee Cattle Dispersal sale. Balanced EPD’s and proven Bloodlines.

Arrow is a bull that really hits the bulls-eye. As he gets older he begins to look more and more like his sire Yardmaster. Talk about a bull starting to take the breed by storm. The Yardmaster progeny are topping female sales and winning shows across the country. A full sib to this bull sells as lot 67 and a flush mate was one of the most intriguing fall heifer calves ever born here. Yardmaster really seems to click with 310N. This guy has a long level hip that adds to his striking profile. He is a bigger outlined bull that would add some look and style to a calf crop.

Here is an ET calf out of the 310N Donor we are offering for sale. He is sired by the Bieber Rouse Samurai X22 bull that Select Sires owns. This bull is really starting to take off and Accelerated Genetics just added a son last year. Atlanta 674B has some true giants in the breed in his pedigree including Cheyenne, Boone 8000 and King Rob plus add to it the Boot Jack Ranch cow family that has been so good to Brent. Samurai is being used in the breed for his low BW with growth as well as being a bull with marbling and cattle that are fault free in their phenotype. We feel this ET son could be very similar to his sire as he appears to be a bull that could meet your low BW needs. The females he sires should be tremendous when you consider his pedigree and what his dam has done. If you don’t know much about her, check her out in the back end of the catalog as lot 68. P.S. This bull has a flush mate sister in our replacement pen that is a smoker!

This Larson Red Lightening granddaughter is the youngest of the daughters of the original Boot Jack Ranch Lana cow who started this “10” line. 510R has earned herself the job of replacing her big sister 310N in the donor pen after she has a full sib to At Ease 510A in February. 3 bulls in this sale go back to the 510R cow. 22% 13% 8% 10% 33% 33% 47% 22% 13% Back N Bed 207B should let you do just that. Get back in bed during calving season. Here is a bull that ranks in the top 35% for 11 of the 16 Red Angus EPD’s with only one above 50%. It is tough to find EPD’s that line up like this bull’s numbers. He should be a true heifer bull out of LSF Pacino with proven calving ease bulls like Above and Beyond, Buster and Deniro in his pedigree. The numbers back it up with a 96 BW ratio and EPD’s in the top 8% and 10% for CED and BW. This guy also has the carcass to with his low BW and growth. Check out his HerdBuilder and GridMaster EPD’s. Not only does he have all of the above, but a high selling Yardmaster show heifer prospect sold this fall to Idaho out of his Grand Dam 307. The pedigree and numbers will make sure you get Back N Bed.

He may have ratio’d 109 at birth, but how many 68 pounders ratio that high? I would bet his -2.3 BW EPD is high and Brady will be a lower BW kind of bull with Pacino as his sire. Not only is the calving ease here, but this guy is in the top 38% for 13 of the 16 EPD’s. Not too shabby. The carcass and low BW are definite positive attributes, not to mention his pedigree. His Dam is a direct daughter of the 510R cow who is headed to the donor pen.

They were both raised by 3 year olds and dry lotted for awhile this summer so they are behind, but let us tell you their flushmate sister is a barn burner in the replacement pen and looks to be the replacement for their donor dam. When looking for his next Great Donor, Brent came across 9148, not to be left out Kelly and Roger bought in on her with him. A look at her pedigree tells you she’s bred to be a maternal giant with Grand Canyon crossed with the Blockana cow line. We have had lots of requests for 9148’s embryo’s and an offer to buy her. This is the calf she came carrying, not exactly how we will mate her in the future. His grandsire Hamley has sired many show winning heifers. This guy is stout hipped, clean fronted, and real moderate.

Sometimes you make a major decision and hope it turns out. Well, we believe purchasing Yardmaster did turn out. His first calf crop produced results above our expectations. Analyze his sons and the daughter selling and see if you agree with us. In a commercial test against Mission Statement his progeny out grew and when harvested had more Ribeye and Marbling than the proven sire. We expect a change in his EPD’s with more progeny.

In 2012 we decided we needed to add a bull that would complement the moderate, deep ribbed Top Gun daughters. Yeah Boss was the bull we chose to add. Not only does he have the Rock Star power and shape but he also has his dam’s performance and length. He was too high performing to fit the pen of 3 in Denver as he out grew his flush mates who were 2/3s of the Champion pen. P.S. He is from the Blockana cow family which we believe is the best in the breed.

We believe with his balanced EPD’s and top 1/3 of the breed carcass traits, he has a lot to offer any program. His depth isn’t because he is a little 4 frame sawed off bull either, he weighed 1350 pounds 2 days before he was a year old. This bull is a real performance beef machine that can add pounds, he is right for the times.

WOW! Look at the Balanced EPD’s on this herdsire prospect. Phenotypically 122Y has hit another homerun after last year’s son was the highly sought after Lot 38 that Elkohm’s bought. Here is one to improve a herd’s carcass merit, and he is a high Feeder Profit Index bull. 122B is square topped deep sided and has all the right parts in the right places to be a great breeding bull.

If you want a true performance bull to turn out and sire those scale busting calves then you better have your hand in the air here. Brian’s Song was a great movie and this bull is too coming off his first calf dam at 769 lbs. Making him the heaviest Balancer calf of the year. This bull has always been a stud, being longer and flat bigger than his contemporaries since he was a month old. This calf has an extremely powerful hip loaded with muscle and has plenty of bone to go with it. The EZ Money bull has really produced calves in this first calf crop that can have a major impact on this breed and the beef industry.

These natural born twins are out of the only purebred Gelbvieh cow we have flushed. Her past 3 bulls include 2 class winners in Denver and another sale highlight. Lot 33 is bigger framed and heavier weight. Lot 34 is as correctly designed as any bull in the sale. These 2 deserve a hard look. Dam raised both for 45 days and then Lot 34 was grafted onto another cow. If you need 2 bulls these 2 would increase the uniformity and consistancy of a calf crop. Backed by a proven dam who’s only natural daughter was choosen to represent us at the Pick of the Herds Sale several years ago.

Here he is, the beast of the fall Balancers. The Tuned In’s have always been good and here is one of the best yet. Super big bodied, long sided, and plenty of muscle. 94A’s dam’s 3rd calf and all 3 have been in the bull sale. Last years was very popular and 4th high selling bull, Lot 8 to Voboril’s. Build a cow herd with Ali’s daughters. Maternal Granddam’s son sold to Gustin’s Diamond D Gelbvieh last year as a herdsire.

Homo Black. Here is one of the last natural Tuned In calves to sell. He was raised by an older cow we kept around one more year just to get this calf. His EPD’s take a hit because of the unregistered angus cow he is out of. She has consistently produced top notch calves throughout her life here including the 708T cow that many visitors pick as the best balancer on the place. This calf would sire a tremendous set of replacement females and being a Tuned In 55T son should also sire tremendous feeding cattle.

Named Big John for a reason, this 75% GV bull ratio’d 96 at birth then exploded to a 117 WW Ratio. This would explain his top 15% WW and top 10% YW EPD’s. If you want to add performance and get some stretch back in your calves, then this Warlock son could be your choice. With the price of cattle high and corn cheap, his calves should be money makers. If he adds 25 more pounds than your next pick of the bulls on his first 20 calves at just $2 per pound sale price it will be worth paying an extra $1,000 dollars for him in just his first 20 calves.

The other Liberty and very similar to Lot 49. The 2 are hard to tell apart. Same cow family as lot 53. Has plenty of body, muscle, and is correct in his design. 1 of the younger Balancers in the Sale. Liberty sired the Res. Grand Champion steer at the Smith County Free Fair this past summer this 1350 lb. steer graded choice when he went to the locker.

A twin to lot 58 out of a Timberwolf daughter who is flat getting it done. Her first try was possibly the best red balancer we have ever raised. Her next calf was a heifer we kept back and now she has these twins by EZ Money. This black calf is super deep bodied and like all the EZ Money calves he is an easy feeding bull that will make an awesome set of feeders or heifers that are the keeping kind.

This Pacino half blood ratio’d 87 at birth and 104 for weaning which is pretty impressive. He started off at 67 and came off his first calf dam at 638. We purchased the Pacino bull to be a calving ease sire and he surely has not disappointed. This calf seems ready to follow in his sire’s footsteps. Not only is he a low BW bull but when you analyze him on the hoof he is a very fault free individual that will catch your eye out in the big pen of bulls. This bull is named Burglar because his calves will come in the night without you knowing.

Buffalo Bill is the first Red Zip Line bull to ever be offered. Zip Line was the 2014 National Champion Gelbvieh bull. His semen is just now being offered on the open market so there is little opportunity to find his progeny. We didn’t get many bulls in this first calf crop and one of them died in the show pen getting ready for Denver. 306B’s maternal sister is the dam of the lot 32 bull who is a performance king. If you like some extra look in your calves then load up this red calf and put some Zip in your herd.

Here is a direct daughter of the 310N Donor cow selling and only the second ever offered. Sired by Yardmaster, this April heifer is a deep, super soft, easy fleshing female. These Yardmaster daughters are all so deep flanked and bold sprung. She is halter broke and has been easy to work with. She would work in the show ring as Yardmaster daughters are winning shows all over, but her true value will be in the pasture. If we were not trying to showcase the 10’s, this heifer wouldn’t be offered. Brent likes to hoard females so don’t miss out on an opportunity to own one of his “not-for-sale” females.
Lot 67 ~ Bama Lana 410B
310N Daughter - High Selling hfr in 2013 sale to Whitney St. Clair
This is our tenth bull sale so Brent wanted to celebrate the anniversary by showcasing his “10” line of Red Angus with 7 bulls and 2 open heifers. 310N is another feature and if she wasn’t a flushing machine with more embryos in storage than we know what to do with and several daughters running around she wouldn’t be for sale. This cow is being sold as a donor cow only as 3 of her teats were frozen a few years back and no longer work. However, her potential is unlimited. She has averaged 16 eggs frozen on 11 flushes with a high of 30 embryos frozen in one flush. In her last flush she froze 22. Now the story on this cow family. Kelly went to the Lonker Red Angus sale when he was in college and bought Boot Jack Ranch Lana 6110 bred to King Rob for $1,300 but didn’t have the money to pay for her. He called Brent who was in high school and got him to buy her. The calf in her was 310N. We AI’d her to Reballa’s Robin and got a daughter 410 (grand dam of lot 24 ) and then bred 6110 to Ravishing Lightening a Red Lightening X Fed’s Blockana 692 son and got the 510R cow dam of lot 12 and grand dam of lots 1 and 69. 310N raised the high seller in our ’06 sale and the second high seller in ’07. Up next were twin Bulls born the year her teats froze. We kept one of those bulls to use in our registered herd. He sired the champion steer at the Smith County Fair this past summer and had progeny in our production sales as well. We started flushing 310N and bred her naturally twice after the twins and had to bottle feed and foster out those calves one of which is lot 67. The EPD’s on this “10” line have always been low as the original 6110 cow currently reads a 29 YW EPD which gives her super productive daughters unfair low grow numbers. This donor earned a 105.7 MPPA on her first 5 calves she raised naturally. We are selling 100% of her so you have the salvage value and get every egg she produces after you buy her. Sells open and ready to flush.

Her dam is a Top Gun out of the 510R cow. This is another April heifer who would be ultra competitive in the show ring with her level hip and depth of body. One visitor to the pastures this summer picked 4110B as one of the top show prospects on the place. She has better grow numbers than a lot of these “10” line females and surely has a bright future ahead. Yeah Boss adds the Blockana cow family to this incredible “10” line.

Wyatt sons have always been thick ended and easy keeping while being moderate at birth. The dam 324N has ratio’d 93 for birth and 102 at weaning on 10 calves. She was crippled up raising this last calf and had to be sold but the old cow has been very productive putting 6 bulls in a row in the sale. Bridget brings the low birth and maintenance traits to the table just like her momma.
