It was a rare moment, indeed, to catch Grandpa without a camera in his hands! This was taken out at Grandpa & Grandma Bechthold’s farm in Lacombe. We were having a picnic out by the barn.

Sorry Mom, but I had to include it. Our Grandpa always left us with a smile and a chuckle and this accidentally naughty photo, as he reached for his camera, made us all laugh and, he would like that right now! Loves!

Grandpa’s 94th birthday at Mom’s (Donna Bechthold) home in Oregon. He wanted to ride the coastal train on his birthday. This photo was taken on mom and dad’ s back porch in Tillamook.

The Golden 50th Wedding Anniversary

A Girl and Her Dad There’s a special love that’s hidden away, It’s a love that would make your heart glad You only know it if you have it yourself It’s the love between a girl and her dad. This love is seldom talked about – It’s as strong as a golden chain – Nothing can break it, it binds forever, And nothing can come between. So many girls have empty hearts – No father’s love, strong and true – Nothing to build their lives upon – No dad to smile and plant courage in you. But this girl, let me tell you folks – She knows what a blessing she’s had – She’s known this love from the day she was born… It’s in the heart of this girl and her dad.
