Achieving MAT Maturity is a new support package for Trusts delivered by the CLF Executive and Institute teams, as well as guest speakers from outside the CLF, which is starting this spring. A semibespoke support package it will help the development needs of your MAT. The programme consists of the following eight face-to-face modules with bespoke visits to the CLF and other MATs to observe and explore the content of the programme in context:        

School improvement at scale—fundamentals School improvement at scale—participation and performance School improvement at scale—sustainability Human resources Financial management at scale Corporate services Strategic and effective governance Culture and scale—when you can’t be everywhere …

Executive leadership coaching is also offered as well as an invitation to the CLF summer conference for your executive team. Once your MAT enrols on the programme you will be able to select the most appropriate members of your team to attend each separate module as participants may choose to attend some or all of the modules. The CLF is holding a BAME Recruitment Event on Thursday 28 March between 9.30am and 2pm. Black, Asian and minority ethnic guests are invited to attend if they are considering a career in teaching, are ready for their next step into leadership or are already working in education and considering their next career step. Information and experts will be available and the inspirational Consultant Head Teacher and Leadership Coach, Diana Osagie will be one of the keynote speakers together with Aisha Thomas, Assistant Principal of City Academy Bristol. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT We are recruiting this month for our next DfE accredited NPQH, NPQSL & NPQML cohorts. The course costs (including any assessment fee) are as follows: NPQH £1950 (starting 26 April), NPQSL £1250 (starting 9 May) and NPQML £750 (starting 3 April) We will be starting delivery of our NEW NPQEL course in September, with two introductory modules in the summer term - add your name to our waiting list NOW! If you or someone you know is interested in training to teach and has the minimum requirements (a 2.2 degree as well as GCSE at grade C or above in English and Maths, also with Science for primary) please contact Katharine Alcock, our SCITT administrator, by emailing scitt@clf.cabot.ac.uk or pop along to one of our drop in sessions at the CLF Institute on Tuesday 2 April or Thursday 9 May between 2 and 6pm to meet our friendly SCITT team to find out more about the programme and how you could be teaching your own class by September 2020! SLEs available for school to school support via the CLF Institute We currently have over 40 SLEs designated within our Teaching School Alliance. Each SLE has been designated in a particular subject, phase or area of expertise and can be deployed to support your school. If you are interested in obtaining SLE support please contact ali.jones@clf.cabot.ac.uk who will be happy to help. We are also seeking to designate NEW SLEs to deploy for school improvement work. If you are interested in becoming an SLE please also get in touch to request an application form.

Participate in a Maths Hub Primary Teaching for Mastery Work Group this year Are you a primary teacher and would you and a colleague be interested in developing confident mathematicians in your class? Do you want to take part in high-quality, collaborative CPD which benefits you and your school? Join a Teaching for Mastery Work Group near you….. The two lead teachers will participate in half-termly, cross Work Group meetings with our Mastery Specialists (half-days) and complete gap tasks. There is no charge for participation and a grant of £1000 to help subsidise teacher release time. Teaching for Mastery in Maths: Opportunities for Secondary Schools are available now!!
