Appeal for Swim wear Suubi has been offered free use of a swimming pool within walking distance. We would like any donation of swim wear, arm bands and small inflatables such as rings and floats. Here are the children at a commercial pool.

THANK YOU There have been many very generous donors since the last Suubi News. Special thanks to: Corpus Christi Parish Wokingham Rudolph Gutman u Sohn - Austria St Gabriels and St Johns Parish Rochdale & all who gave to our Christmas Appeal. Thank you for the donation of boys summer clothes aged 7 years to 11 years & to all who keep the Suubi children in their prayers

Standing orders The cost of transport and entry for all the children per visit is £150.

Visitors to Suubi Patricia Kerton, Helen’s sister who is a headteacher of a Primary School in Wokingham, Berkshire, will visit Suubi this Easter. Patricia wants to see the developments at Suubi since her last visit in 2007 and to report back to her Parish of Corpus Christi who are generous supporters of Suubi.

Volunteers Would you like to be a volunteer at Suubi this year? We would particularly be interested in a swim instructor to go out to teach the children to swim. Or perhaps there is a skill you would like to learn and can share that learning with the children such as traditional dancing, wood carving, banana fibre weaving. The children appreciate a visit from any one who will share in playing sports & games.

Think what skills you may have and what you could offer

It is particularly helpful of those of you who donate by standing order. This gives a secure regular income to meet the routine needs. Here are Suubi’s bank details if anyone feels able to set up a regular donation to us: CAF Bank: sort code 40 52 40 account number 00019300

Slide Presentations Hermann and Helen give slide presentations that illustrate the work of Suubi Children’s Home and Life in Uganda. Follow the progress of a secondary school child as Hollingworth High are doing. Janice, who visited Suubi in May 2011, has made a dvd which was shown at our ‘Meet the Director’ evening in November. This is a fine example of a contribution our visitors can make. Janice’s dvd is available for showing at presentations. Contact Hermann or Helen Jungmayr on 01706 632376 or 07966 527133
