Lowering Visual Noise • Use a limited colour pale:e, Use 2‐3 colours to contrast with full colour visuals. • Avoid bright backgrounds colours with similar colour toned type. • Limit use of typefaces, i.e. 2/3 maximum. • Don’t use bright coloured type for body copy. Use black, grey, dark colours. • Don’t use over decoraKve faces.
Typographic Tips
‐ Avoid long line lengths. No more than 12 words on a line. ‐ Use ‘serif’ fonts (Georgia, Times, Baskerville) for paragraphs of text more than 150 words. It is easier to read.
