Jenny Edwards

Louise Collinson

Class: Mini Movers and Creative Movement

Class: Dance Plus

If you come to Déda on a Friday you’ll be familiar with the laughter coming from Studio 1. Jenny has the pleasure of leading Mini Movers and Creative Movement here every week. Jenny has been leading community dance classes across the region and beyond since she graduated in dance in 2001. Her practice has led her to work in Romania, Germany, America, Austria and the UK. Specialising in early years work, disability/ mixed ability dance and older adults’ sessions, Jenny is a trained JABADAO practitioner and DanceAbility teacher. She loves celebrating communities by sharing the delights of movement together.

Dance Plus is a fun and creative dance class that offers mature movers with little or no experience the chance to dance and exercise in a safe environment. Trained at LABAN, Louise has worked with a number of contemporary and commercial dance companies, practitioners and youth dancers across the country and has 16 years experience as a choreographer, performer and development practitioner. As well as 12 years developing dance around Derby as part of the Dance Development Team at Déda, Louise has a full certification in Clinical Pilates, which aids her creating material for Dance Plus.
