Sector Leadership

At Integral Group, we have a dedicated approach to design which is centred on collaboration.

Successful designs require an understanding of the client’s needs at the time of project inception and in the future. We have designed facilities for up-and-coming science-based research firms as well as the world’s leading Life Science companies, collaborating with stakeholders including the client, design team, and municipal governments where facilities are located. We understand how the needs of science and technology facilities evolve rapidly, and we have the experience to adapt and meet these changing needs.

World’s Lowest Energy Labs

We have designed many ground-breaking high-efficiency laboratories, demonstrating that even critical facilities can significantly increase their energy efficiency (50-70% or more than standard designs) cost effectively with minimal payback periods. • First laboratory with chilled beams • First laboratory to use radiant ceiling panel cooling • First Zero Net Energy-designed, zero-carbon designed and LEED Platinum Certified

Life Science

We design laboratories for numerous life science clients as well as incubation hubs for

the life science industry. This experience helps us to understand both the needs of the industry as a whole, but also allows us to develop flexible spaces that are ready to expand, to add new and experimental equipment and that operate efficiently and simply. Working with our clients, each design is done to suit the needs of each project.

Pharmaceutical Expertise

Our global team has extensive experience working with pharmaceutical companies, for both small renovations and larger scale pharmaceutical manufacturing. We lean on the expertise we have in each global region to develop designs that adhere to the requirements of regulatory bodies for each project, and meet the energy and carbon targets imposed by each municipality. Our teams partner with knowledgeable architectural teams and process engineering firms to ensure a cohesive and complete team for any project. The needs for the pharmaceutical industry and specifically manufacturing require the expertise that our team offers.

Flexibility & Resilience

Flexibiility and resilient design is a prerequisite in Life Sciences facilities. The building needs to respond to the increasing unpredictability of science development and business growth. This challenge of designing for the unknown suits our skills and

expertise in developing processes and solutions which provides our clients with the ability to adjust their process as the scientific or business demands evolve.

Innovation

The importance of data analysis is key in reducing research and manufacturing costs. With the rising energy costs, the focus on developing analytical tools and processes has taken priority in recent years. PAT (Process Analytical Technology) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) are two examples which play an important role in the design of new facilities in such a way that it helps reduce facility footprint and speed up the route to market whilst making the manufacturing process more robust, better control of intermediate process stages.
