Moscow
Belayaevo is a neighborhood of Moscow middle perifery, where the urban landscape is characterized by the classics "Microrayon". In the shadow of these big buildings, citizens feel defenseless in front of a state that does not protect them anymore. This urban landscape faces us unconsciously to a Soviet past and confuses us about the present for living in the future.

At the sites of new, polished and freshly asphalted industrial districts flora is planted as a sign of human domination: small scrubs, hedges and ideally mowed grass, whereas old, forgotten places are being reannexed by ruderal species.

I think of people populating busy streets, sat amongst small shops and cafes. When I walk through such a district, dense with movement and colour, smells and experiences, I never think to take out my camera. It seems redundant. Everything is there, obvious, within reach, too overwhelming to capture. After a while my eyes search out the opposite of what I so eagerly imagined before a journey to somewhere unknown or a stroll through a newly discovered part of a familiar town. They, alert, provoked, start seeking emptiness and so they turn upwards, looking for the contrasts between the busy street and the empty solid space that looms above it or below it.

The view of an outsider, devoid of any objectivity or journalistic ambitions to show all the aspects of the district. It is more about the mood of the person who found herself in a specific environment, a fleeting and poetic reaction to the urban space having nominal borders.

WHY PHOTOGRAPHY?

painting, or let’s say I was just too lazy to satisfy
my need to illustrate the surrounding world how I see it in another way. I think I also did got into

Cities aren't something you can check off a list once you've visited; they are ever-changing. Every moment is a unique combination of the movements and relationships between people and spaces, constantly evolving.

Amsterdam
These photos are all taken in Amsterdam, the city I do not plan to live in or leave forever. I like to capture clear shapes, compositions and colours I stumble upon in the capital I was born and raised in. Through my analog photos I hope to convey my love for this place and share the sense of nostalgia I feel when I walk down the streets..

I don't like the chaos of the city, I prefer to focus on the styles, the simple things, the details. These are the shots that I did during my shifts in the Apulia region in southern Italy, with the exception of a trip to Warsaw in January, I feel very lonely when traveling, photographs taken during this feeling of loneliness.
