This form of linguistic aggression is very clearly expressed in his pamphlet “Against the Papacy of Rome, Founded by the Devil” of 1545. This volume reveals the linguistic means that he used to implement this by undertaking a practical argumentation analysis.

Das Dresdner Manuskript Ob.47 ist eine vollkommen unbekannte und unikal überlieferte vulgärsprachliche Übersetzung der Alexander-Vita von Quintus Curtius Rufus. Text und Handschrift sind in der Mitte des 15. Jahrhunderts in Mailand entstanden. Als Übersetzer wird der Geschichtsschreiber Lodrisio Crivelli genannt. Die Arbeit liefert eine umfassende philologische Erschließung des Artefaktes; die Edition wird als OnlineZusatzmaterial beigegeben.

Il volume indaga la fortuna dei libri I−V della «Biblioteca storica» di Diodoro Siculo fra XV e XVI secolo, attraverso lo studio dei primi due volgarizzamenti italiani. Entrambi anonimi, essi furono tradotti dalla versione latina di Poggio Bracciolini (1449). Il volume offre un prospetto di storia della tradizione dei due testi, ne ricostruisce − sin dove possibile − il contesto di produzione e ne propone un saggio di edizione critica parallela.

The contributions gathered in this volume explore the possible uses of Bible translations to open new perspectives in the history of Iberian Romance languages.
