EDITOR’S MESSAGE

Bottlenecks

backlogs

Bottlenecks, backlogs, shock, and awe. There’s lots to ponder this season. Just as we celebrate a two-year pandiversary, we are experiencing massive shipment delays, manufacturing stoppages, supply chain snafus, and an atrocious conflict in Europe that has brought out the beautiful humanity

shock

and awe

among the citizens of the world. In the spring 2022 issue of Crush magazine, we discuss new realities producers are facing and the environmental impact of glass bottles. We celebrate Indigenous wineries in British Columbia and the women in the wine industry, and we look at North America’s first biocyclic vegan vineyard tucked into our very own Nova Scotia. Thank you for reading this issue of Crush magazine and we continue to encourage everyone to support local, visit wineries in person, join wine clubs, and keep the wine consumption up. Cheers!
